I'm always amused at friends of mine that own European cars. I have a 2016 Avalon XLE, purchased new. The Avalon has been flawless. My friends' European cars are cash cows, in and out of the shop for repairs and parts replacements. Yet they look down their noses at my Japanese car. I'm laughing all the way to the bank. They're not laughing when they call me to come and pick them up when they have to take their Euro cars back to the mechanic.

I love love love my 2020 Avalon Touring. So much to praise. Definitely the best car I have ever owned. It handles so well I carved lots of great corners at The Tail of The Dragon in Tennessee. It was so much fun I was laughing out loud. Once wasn’t enough, had to drive it 3times! Because of the active damping suspension (available only on the Touring model), it handles like a much smaller car. But rides like my 1976 Eldorado convertible! Incidentally, the back seat has more room then most of those Lexus models. I need my friends & family to be as comfortable as I am. When a road trip is mentioned, it’s amusing how friends/family vie for that big comfortable back seat. Lots of pick-up without a turbo, which means REGULAR gas! Let the brand snobs pay for premium. This is a keeper!! So much fun, so much reliability, all on 87 octane. Sweet!

You are a truly smart guy. I've heard people say they like Lexus, because they get warm cookies and milk in the service department. I asked if they could have that at home, and he said he would rather pay more for it and feel special.
In any case, I like the Toyota Avalon. It's my favorite full-size sedan in the mainstream market. Cancelling this will leave a real void in the lineup, one that the Camry simply can't fill.

Yes, I had 2 Camrys before I upgraded to the Avalon. The Avalon is the clearly superior car.

I had a 2006 Avalon and sense gave it to my daughter when she went to college. Currently has 136k miles and it still runs perfectly. Hands down the best car I have ever owned.

I have this same color in the XSE and in love with my car. I hate the Avalon couldn’t survive, but on the flip side i don’t see them every other car like i do the Camry making it feels that much more special to me.

We got a 2010 Toyota Avalon limited last Wednesday and we definitely love ours so much with 102k miles she is definitely an amazing car and a car that will last a long time both my wife and I both hate how Toyota got Reid of the Avalon also with adaptive cruise control for a 10 that is amazing and so comfortable

Good review I’m looking at getting one myself to replace my much loved 2019 camry xse (white with the ash interior which is next to impossible to find) v6 that met an unexpected demise. This avalon is the same exact size as the Lexus es350 and at this price 47k you get it with all the options at Lexus you
Don’t get navigation or the premium levinison (and whatever extra junk they add like rapid Heater for a car sold in south Florida) to get all that it’s 53k. I drove the avalon today was quite nice seats more comfortable than camry. I may end up with it! The review kept saying it’s so big it’s 3.8 inches longer and .4 inches wider than the Camry.

Always admired the Toyota flagship. I guess I am what he refers to as brand snob. But what a car the Avalon is. Im not a fan of jbl or phone charger that doesn't work if you have case? Doesn't everyone have case? But what a striking product. Sales figures way way down I guess they had no choice . I tried negotiating on a new black touring that was on dealers lot for long time, they wouldn't budge on price , thought that was weird, so didn't close the deal. But great car overall love the review. RIP Avalon.

It's shocking but true. After paying $5,000 over sticker price I finally received my 2022 Avalon Limited. It does NOT have wireless Apple CarPlay. It must be physically plugged in with a cable. This will prove interesting as the next version of the iPhone is likely to have NO connector at all. I do LOVE, DRL off on the light switch.

I have the 2021 touring and is a beast. everywhere I go there is at least 1 person that ask me what kind of car it is. the only thing I wish it had was massage seats, cooler seat not only heat seats on the back and also temperature control for the back passengers but othere then that I do love my touring. I also have the same inside as you only that the outside color of the paint is snow white
