In this video, we start by looking at the gases in the atmosphere today and the gases in the early atmosphere. We then look at the processes that took place leading to the current atmosphere.
This video is based on the AQA spec. If you are following a different exam board then you should check your specification. The Amazon link above is an affiliate link. My teacher said that people hate this guy cause of his monotone voice but that’s what makes me learn. I learn more from this dude than from anything I’ve ever learnt in school.
Dr Donnellys' voice is comparable to birds singing or angelic harmony, don't disrespect him and say it's monotonous.
@@fireemperorzuko8756 they didn't say that...the teacher did.
your teacher can leave our king alone
tell ur teacher to put respect on King Seans name
I don't know why people would want to hate him he's a hero
The smile at the end motivates me
honestly ur the only reason i'm gonna scrape a gcse
Beth Dahlia only reason I am gonna scrape a mark... :)

@@WELCOMEHOMEBONE Very infectious indeed.
sir from the bottom of my heart may you be blessed with Gods grace and live a wonderful fruitful life. you have saved my science gcses and for that i am honestly so greatful. text books have so much info but your videos are perfectly packed with exactly what you need to know. i walk in confident to the exams thanks to your teachings thank you.
If I ever get a good grade in all my sciences, you are the only reason. Thankyou for all the help.
What grade did u get
Is it just me or is this guy's accent the most satisfying thing in existence

Slow down the playback speed to 0.75 so you have time to process and mentally note the information down before he moves on, it helps a lot! X
Nah, do it at 1.5 speed
Put him on 0.25 speed if you want to make notes
How do you change the speed on iPad?
Sophie Benson
I usually put the speed on 1.5x, it's much easier that way😂(not speaking for everyone)
2.5 speed XD yay GCSEs next year for me
I am currently doing higher GCSE separate bio, chem and physics, and have learnt so much from your incredible videos- they are short, to-the-point, inciteful, and brilliant beyond words! I have decided to take Alevel physics next years and am really looking forward to it (thanks so much for inspiring me all throughout physics GCSE) but I am aware you do not offer Alevel videos for physics. Is there another channel you can recommend, similar to yours? Please let me know, and once again, THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Im so happy I’m doing 2022 GCSEs as they have cut out much of the difficult bits in paper 2s
I love this man. The help he gives my students is awesome. I use a lot of these videos to give another voice delivering the content. (improves overlearning)
Great lesson, thanks a lot! I hope you know your work is highly appreciated by many :)
This guy be carrying us
Never fear, Shaun is here!
Thanks, Shaun for the 8- Year 11 Mocks
wow now i feel like i could be an astronaut lol
WHEN SKL WORK IS BASED ON SHAWN
Love these vids I’m in year 9 and got a test tomorrow 🤞
2021? Anyone I literally studying for my science test next week scared but this helped me a lotttt
WE LOVE YOU FREE SCIENCE LESSONS ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Cheers Shaun.
This guy is a legend
this literally helps me soo much i am grateful tysm
Thanks this really helped my revision
I LOVE YOU MR FREE SCIENCE GUY
Thank you so much
Thanks so much! Chemistry next week again!
No please stop
Hoping to get 7-8 this will help
Thank U!
This guy looks like Peter Capalbi.
thank you
thank you very much
I loved that video, however can you also explain the reason for increase in nitrogen?
Do we need to know how limestone, coal and natural gas forms?
Is there not any separate content in this topic?
You saved me from getting another 4
how do we open the revision workbok
so much help
thanks, boss
In the video sir you said at 1:01 that’ the earth atmosphere is around 4600 million years old’ however on the aqa spec it states 4.6 billion years ago
Hi. 4.6 billion means the same as 4600 million.
Last 22 days in school, holy shit I'm so gonna fail, please save me.
Umm. I know I'm late but how was ur exam?
Hope it went well
So if I remember all the stuff in your vids, is that all I need to know for sciences to get high grade, or do I need to look into more detail about stuff in your vids?
OriginalLegendz I'm pretty sure u can, it's what I'm doing anyway
The examboard you are doing might be different as he is doing aqa so its important to use the specification to make sure you are revising everything you need.
Its also important to do as many questions as the new gcses are asking questions where you have to show your understanding and not just give facts
Xj F I'm using Aqa aswell
OriginalLegendz Loads of people do AQA
this is very pog
ty mr peter capaldi
nice thank u ;-)
I love you
Hi sir. This question may be really dumb of me to ask. I am in year 8. Can you please explain what is photosynthesis?
It's the reaction where plants use the energy of light to react carbon dioxide and water, making glucose and oxygen.
Thank you very much sir. You are the best teacher on earth. Better than my teachers at school. Thanks.
Simple Solution why you watching gcse revision videos if your in yr 8?
6CO2 + 6H2O-> C6H12O6 + 6O2. I'm in year eight to if you have exams soon like me best of luck
;-;
only just found out this unit existed smh got 6 weeks til my first exam
Just realised bro has merch
4.6 bilean
i turn my adblocker off just for your vids papi sean
Well I appreciate that. Thank you.

i love u so much
what would u say i need to cover ( in all sciences )as I am just going to year 9
The only human Thanos was afraid of
When will there be videos on space physics?
There is so already
SUBBED AND NOTIFS ARE ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
why is there still a lot of nitrogen in the Earths atmosphere today, it should've had been used up somehow?
🐐
sir, is it 4.6billion or million? on the aqa spec it says billion...
4.6 billion is the same as 4600 million
its bill nye's long lost twin
freesciencelessons>my chem teacher
hello freesciencelessons love your vid, i just wanted to ask, i was doing a past paper and one of the questions were why are scientists not sure about the early atmosphere what can i put?
There is no data because there was no one to record it. They only have a rough estimate because of ice core data.
not enough evidence.
Who’s here for 2020 summer exams ? Just me?
@M3M3 M4CH1N3 same
What does it mean by algae evolved or plants evolved? Might be a really stupid question but im so confused
Zuzanna Chojecka the number of plants increased and/or the different varieties of plants increased
It means that when algae/plants first appeared on Earth by evolution.
hello sir,
your lessons are great, just love them.
Can you please help me with purchasing the workbooks from the store.
which one is the most preferable among the workbooks
with regards,
Dhikshith Balaji
The Triple workbooks cover all the content in the videos for the UK AQA specification. However it does depend on what specification you are following.
thank you sir
Man wrote a formal letter
Last hour revision...

...this is paper 2 right
Hi sir at 2:56 i am unsure as to how carbon dioxide made shells for sea creatures, could you please explain this. Thanks
Seashells come from organisms that extract calcium and carbon from the water around them to form calcium carbonate shells.
WHY DO PEOPLE NEVER COME BACK W THEIR GRADES??? THEY JUST DISAPPEAR OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH MAN
Here an hour before the exam bc I forgot to learn this 💀
i just want to go to bed
How did the mussels dying ands forming limestone remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere?
They use carbon dioxide to make their shell. When they die, the carbon is trapped in the shell rather than existing as carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
Freesciencelessons thank you, you’re a legend
is there a mistake because it says earth was around for 4600 million years but volcanic activity is a billion years?
No it's correct. 1000 million is 1 billion. So the Earth is 4.6 billion years old.
Freesciencelessons excuse me sir I would like to ask would it be required to know any other theories about earth atmosphere development or just the volcano activity. Ps really appreciate your vids
Volcanic activity is on the spec so that's the one that you're meant to know. However, they could give you information about a different theory and ask you questions on it to see if you can apply your knowledge.
nice vid but i swear earth is 4.6 billion years old not 4.6 million
In the video, I say 4.6 thousand million, which is the same as 4.6 billion.
Never doubt Mr freesciencelessons
2022 REVISION LAST SECON SQUAD;)
Man like
learnt wat took my teacher a hour to teach in mins
It’s not 4600 million is 4.6 billion?
It's the same thing.
Man I love science
i love you
why is it difficult to prove what the earth atmosphere was like 4.6 billion years ago?
Because no people or animals existed
anyone here from retford oaks
the earth is 4.6 billion years old 😂😂 does anyone notice 😅
In the video, he say 4.6 thousand million, which is the same as 4.6 billion.
he said 4.6 thousand million which is the same
4600 million is the same as 4.6 billion
:)
You made an error isn’t the Earth 4 billion years
According to the AQA spec it's 4.6 billion years. Other sources agree plus or minus 0.1 billion years.
Freesciencelessons Thankyou
i am so stressed
do what your username says. u got this
can i get a *hAlleLLUja*
it`s 4.6 billion years not 4.6 million years
In the video, I say 4600 million years which is the same as 4.6 billion years.
Joke man, pay attention
nice try
