Not true. This is the studio version on the LP. This is a lip-syns as all muisic videos go. There is no way they could replicate the many levels of voice on this song on this setting.

This was a number one hit. They donated all the money to UNICEF for the children. I have heard at least 12 million. These brothers are so talented, they all share this wonderful talent. They write all their songs as well as many number one hits for other artist. Singers, song writers, musicians as well as producers. They sing many varieties of songs all great.....How deep is your love....To love Somebody..... Staying Alive..... Night Fever....Lonely Days....How do you Mend a Broken Heart....You should be Dancing....there are 1000s I love the Bee Gees the best group of all time ....Great reaction!!!

Being brothers, they all had a similar singing voice, Barry was just a bit stronger in the vibrato, I believe this is why they harmonize so well together. They had a 4th baby brother that had his own solo career going on, his name was Andy Gibb, which if you ever do a reaction vid to "You Should Be Dancing" he joins them on that one, it's all 4 on stage. They were all amazing.

These men performed more than 50 years before the first one passed in 2003. They wrote amazing music for others too; Immorality by Celine Dion is my favorite. They said in an interview that their mother heard them singing in their bedroom when the twins were just 5 and their mom thought they were listening to the radio!! R. I. P. Robin and Maurice!! Barry, you’re still amazing and thank you for the years of entertainment you and your younger twin brothers gave us!!

Some of their early hits were "New York Mining Disaster 1941", "To Love Somebody", "Holiday", "Massachusetts", "World", "And The Sun Will Shine", "Really & Sincerely", "Words", "The Singer Sang His Song", "I've Gotta Get A Message To You", "Lonely Days", "I Started A Joke", "Melody Fair", "First of May", "Give Your Best", "Lamplight" etc.

I am 70, we had the best music hands down especially in the 70s and 80s, this is my favorite group and song!! I was a year out of Georgia Tech's 6 year architecture program, when this song came out, but during school we would stay up all night in the huge long glassed building lit up all night in the 70s with all that great music playing.....to keep us awake all night. My Dad was FAA Atlanta and all the airliners used our lit up building alllll night long to figure where they were in the 50s and on from then....and the whole building rocked all night every night, but after the Bee Gees came out with this hit and others, while working in downtown Atlanta at medium to large firms and late into the nights? We were listening to all the greats and Bee Gees at the top of that list!!!!! We had the best radio stations and music as it was uplifting, not depressive like you hear today, it will change your mood for the better with a lot if our music...Enjoy!!! Smiles!!!!

And it was for the song Night on Broadway. Anf Marden wanted someone to “scream” overtop of the ending. Barry said he’d try. And his fantastic falsetto was born. He had no idea he could do it until then. Also, UNICEF is still getting on proceeds from this song. Last count was over 15 million. When you got up to start dancing, you missed Barry and Robin's facial expression.
Love, love, love the Bee Gees. I am a black female, 67 yrs old, grew up with them. (A bit lengthy, but a must read.)
The Bees Gees: (from left to right) Robin, Barry and Maurice (pronounced Morris)
    Maurice (Dec 22, 1949 - Jan. 12, 2003.)
Robin (Dec. 22, 1949 - May 20, 2012.) Maurice and Robin were fraternal twins.
Barry (the middle) said, 'I'm the last man standing.' He was 75 on September 1, 2021, which was also the 50th wedding anniversary with Linda. They have 5 adult children and 7 grandchildren. Barry's voice is a bit more mellow since he is older, but he continues to perform to sellout crowds! Andy Gibb, the youngest brother, had his own successful career. He was 12 yrs younger than Barry. He and Barry looked so much alike, that they could had been twins! Andy passed away in 1988, at the age of 30. Barry stated that Andy lived the 'LA lifestyle' involving drugs, and he had heart problems.
The brothers wrote all of his songs. On a side note, the first born is their sister, Lesley, who turned 78, January 12, 2022. Maurice passed on the same day as her 58th birthday. 😪Lesley didn't have an interest to be in the limelight, but she can sing. At about the age of 2, Barry reached on the table and a pot of hot tea fell on his chest and arms. You can see the shine and blotchy spots on his chest. His mom said he did not talk for almost 2 yrs. Skin grafts were not used in the 40s, so he was in the hospital for a long time. His mom said he almost died. They wrote all of their songs, and songs for other singers, which they recorded after the songs were released for the other singers. The brothers have a VERY IMPRESSIVE catalogue of songs! I recommend the following songs: How Deep Is Your Love? th-cam.com/video/XpqqjU7u5Yc/w-d-xo.html Closer Than Close th-cam.com/video/m6XIdjEHLRs/w-d-xo.html One th-cam.com/video/KRUeMgzOCCo/w-d-xo.html You Win Again th-cam.com/video/KZY9oYSSjFI/w-d-xo.html Spirits (Having Flown) th-cam.com/video/ONmVEJnxysc/w-d-xo.html Bodyguard th-cam.com/video/Fx5XwIKCs3o/w-d-xo.html Emotion (Destiny's Child did a cover on this, but IMO Samantha Sang (original) is MUCH better. th-cam.com/video/b_wTZjo9azk/w-d-xo.html At one time 5 of their songs were in the top 10. Another time, four of the songs that were written by them for others were in the top 5. A song that Barry wrote for Andy was #2, but then it went to #1, and the Bee Gees song became #2. As youngsters, they were so 'busy', that the constable (police) suggested to their parents that should move or they would be placed in a juvenile facility. So glad they moved.

The Bee Gees had an active career from 1958-2003. They are 3 brothers. The two on sides, Maurice and Robin, are fraternal twins. Both of the twins have passed away.
This performance was live at a UNICEF fundraiser event. There is no mixing or any type of electronic manipulation here. It's them raw. They donated "Too Much Heaven" to UNICEF. It raised about 11 million for UNICEF.
The Bee Gees had nine singles reach number one on the Hot 100 chart - which, according to Billboard, puts them in third place for the most number ones in history, after the Beatles and the Supremes.

One take, no pitch correct or auto tune, just pure voices. The Bee Gees are brothers, Barry, Robin & Maurice who are twins and they had been singing together since they were youngsters.

Yes AB Fantastic fun reaction!! Staying Alive for sure, but the whole Saturday Night Fever album is worth its weight in gold. BeeGees greatest hits too!! The only brother still alive is Barry the awesome falsetto!!

" In the US, "Too Much Heaven" would become the fourth of six consecutive No. 1s, equalling the record set by Bing Crosby, Elvis Presley, and the Beatles for the most consecutive No. 1 songs. The six Bee Gee songs are "How Deep Is Your Love", "Stayin' Alive", "Night Fever", "Too Much Heaven", "Tragedy" and "Love You Inside Out". The songs spanned the years of 1977, 1978 and 1979. All of the publishing royalties on "Too Much Heaven" would go to UNICEF charity. The song earned over $7 million in publishing royalties (some sources say $11 million). In the first week of 1979, preceding the Music for UNICEF Concert, the single first topped the charts in both the United States and Canada. " It is INDEED a FABULOUS and BEAUTIFUL song!! They have a 5-decade catalog! Enjoy!! Can't go wrong listening to anything by them!! LEGENDS INDEED!!

They wrote this song for the charity UNICEF. Today still ALL proceeds go to the charity. This was the very first time in history ANY band did this.

They didn't write it for UNICEF. It was only after the single was released and movving up the charts when they announced they were donating the proceeds to UNICEF.
The Concerts For Bangladesh in 1971 also donateed proceeds and UNICEF administered it.

Thank you for reacting to this cut! While all four of the Gibbs brothers have beautiful falsetto voices, they also have RANGE! Check out BeeGees before the disco era for those cuts. The youngest brother Andy was a star in his own right, too. So sad that he passed away before their plans to join forces formally could occur. One of the most talented families in the music business!

This song was recorded live with an orchestra. No auto tune. All original. All the proceeds they made from this song were donated to UNICEF. Today it's somewhere in the vicinity of 22 million dollars. They were great. So sorry they are all gone.

No. 1 in both the US and Canada. In the United States, the song was the first single out of three from the album to interrupt a song's stay at #1. #1 again, "Too Much Heaven" also rose to the top three in the UK. In the US, it would become the fourth of six consecutive No. 1s, equalling the record set by Bing Crosby, Elvis Presley, and the Beatles for the most consecutive No. 1 songs.
