As for your comments. in defense of the 360 the RROD has lessened. This is due to added heat sinks and some stuff with the power brick. Disk scratching has been close to eliminated. Plus since the time this video was made pricing has come down. there ya have my 2 cents.

I think Windows Vista can be good... I bought a Toshiba Notebook with Windows Vista and took it to the Geek Squad. They got rid of most of the annoying confirmation messages and glitches for me. Windows and Macintosh won't break unless you break them, but the X-Box 360 just breaks without warning... I hate it so much -.-
This is why you never put the 360 vertical... always leave it horizontal. I'm still on my first 360 after over a year. Always used it in a well ventilated area while lying horizontal.
You forgot to mention that the HD DVD attachment won't play games, and that there will soon be 200GB Blu-Ray Disks. HD DVD can only reach 1080i while Blu-Ray reaches 1080p. Blu-Ray has slightly better images and more memory... It is a little more expensive, but most people like to buy products are top-of-the-line. This would be what caused HD DVD to die...
I agree. At least I feel that since I'm paying for my internet, if I have to pay for Live, I should get dedicated hosting. Not have to play on my own or someone elses laggy ass connection. That's what bothers me.
The lack of details on locked doors is the same on pretty much every FPS games that is set in a realistic place. Resistance: Fall of Man would be too big if they let you explore all of London without any restrictions. It would make the game bad.
actually this video is very true, i have owned 3 xbox 360's and i sold em all... and 3 days ago i just picked up a ps3.. and i tell you what, it was probably the best $400 i have ever spent in my life.. this system is simply amazing.

its a good thing microsoft didnt build in an hd dvd player because now they can atleast try and get blu ray maybe they will offer a trade in for the hd dvd owners
It hurts the game industry because it makes all of the multi-platform games short. It has upgraded graphics, but it is stuck with the DVD format. Devil May Cry 4 could have been one of the greatest next generation games released so far, but they redid it so it would fit on the X-Box 360. They had to use every level twice and remove many of the Devil Arms and Guns that were originally planned for the game. Thanks Microsoft!
It changes depending on your sources... The PS3 lost GTA IV and DMC 4, but the X-Box 360 has lost exclusives too. One example is Lost Planet. Haze was originally supposed to be multiplatform, but then they decided it would be a better game if it were a PS3 exclusive. Feel the love of the RRoD then feed you HD appetite on DVD...
"PS3 Home" will make it extremely easy to meet people which solves the communication problem. I don't see ay Xbox 360 games with 40-player online support! Resistance: Fall of Man has 40-player online and its free...
I find that simply adding more difficulty levels doesn't add much replay value. It's just a cheap tactic to make your game seem longer. The only games I've seen that actually had replay value from dificulty levels are Devil May Cry games. There's a mode where you and your enemies always die in one hit, and a mode where you die in one hit, but you enemies are harder to kill then ever before. It just doesn't work on FPS games...
Yeah, I like shooter games on the consoles and on my PC. Pretty much all of the best games on the X-Box 360 are shooters and most are available on the PC. The X-Box 360 really needs some exclusives.
I'll be glad to. Basically everyone who has a netflix subscription has a computer with active internet. I'm not sure if you knew this, but you can also stream movies directly to the computer using netflix. So this is my point, why would someone waste $400 just to do the exact same thing? Oh and I agree with you that the wii is-lets just say not as good as it could have been.
Im sad. i had the same scratching problem. And my disc reader got out of line somehow, even though we never moved it. So we had to pay $100 to send it in. Im disapointed in tyhe 360 compared to the original x-box and the gamecube. I know the x-box was too expensive to maintain, but you could drop that thing off a building and it would still work. I guess they dont make em like they used to...
I'm not trying nor looking to make another arguement. I personally think HD DVD's will rise again because there isn't much differant between the quality of blu-ray and HD DVD is a nicer and cheaper verison. Blu-ray as the upper advantage of memory, But there will be 51GB disks shortly.
The connection does not depend on the PS3. My connection has never fucked up while I play. I have seriously never been disconnected. And XBL costs and that kinda sucks.
@AnimeGears how is xbl better than psn cause i game on both and i see no ag difference in the multiplayer except xbl has cross game chat but that doesn't enhance the game play at all and plus i see way much more lag on xbl than psn but that may be because i use a wired connection though
PS3 has much more games to wait for. Mainly sequels to awesome series like Jak 4, Ratchet & Clank Future 2 and 3, Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, God of War 3, Kingdom Hearts 3, Final Fantasy XIII. Do I even have to continue? What can you wait for X360? New Gears of War?
LoL... Is that why the X-Box 360 has games that support 8 players or 16 players? The games I'm referring to are Gears of War and Halo 3. And what does the PS3 have? Resistance: Fall of Man (40 Players) Resistance 2 (60 Players) Massive Action Game (256 Players) Blu-Ray = Long Single Player Experiances PlayStation Network = Playing With The World
I just read an article in Gameinformer that says the xbox 360 isnt selling more. Cus polls state that 60 percent of all people who buy 1 360 end up buying at lest 3 due to red ring or just wanting another one. So dived the 60 percent of sales by three and then add it to the 40 percent. You actually see that 360 sells less to new people.
my friend has had 3 360s so far. His first one started eating his games, the second got the ring of death, and he's on his third now. That sucks. You're lucky though.
Battlestations: Midway, Battlestations:, Pacific, Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath, Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars, Condemned: Criminal Origins, Dark Messiah Might and Magic: Elements, Dead or Alive 5, Dead Island, Dungeon Hero, Dogtag, Diario: Rebirth Moon Legend, Every Party, Far East of Eden, Ziria: Tales from Distant, Jipang, Frontlines: Fuel of War, Guilty Gear 2:Overture, Halo: Chronicles, Halo Wars , Call of Duty 2, Call of Juarez.
I am sorry but you do understand that HD DVD's will shortly have a new verison where it wil have a maximum of 51 GB? Please type in Google HD DVD and click on Wikipedia.
My friend got his repaired in less than week. Another fixed it himself. Its no big deal. Besides, the new ones almost never get it and it has the best games on the market. Sadly, a lot of good things in life cost money, which is why you actually have to pay for xbox live. But its worth every penny.
And no I'm not a 360 fanboy. I actually happen to be a Nintendo fanboy. And I loved the PS2. It was my favorite game system, then they came out with the 360 and the PS3 and stopped making all the great games the PS2 was known for. Super Smash Brothers FTW!
Halo 3 does live up to it's expectations. I think Halo 3's muliplayer is the best I have ever played tbh. Tons of weapons, Vehicles, playlists, forge and matchmaking make it easily one of the best Muliplayer games ever. If I was defending all day on Devil May Cry 4. Then I would get bored so badly. I wouldn't call that fun. I would rather be hacking and slashing than defending all day long.
In other words, you can pay your $50 more for 60gb less hard drive capacity in exchange for a blu-ray player (which no one really uses blu-rays). Or, you can save $50 and get yourself a useful system that has a far better Online community plus double the hard drive capacity. You choose.
You do bring up a good point at the end, but I just think the 360 has more quality games, even though the PS3 has the greatest of all time (MGS4). Even though I'm a 360 fan, I lol'd when you hit your 360 at the beginning :)
Yeah. I told him about the stores abandoning HD DVD and Toshiba abandoning it too. He won't listen though. The six biggest movie producers in the world have all decided to support Blu-Ray now. He claims that somehow Blu-Ray will aquire a huge fan base, and then HD DVD will come back and win the format war with no studio support. HD DVD can't even be used for games becaue the HD DVD attachment for the X-Box 360 will only play movies. Thie guy is sad...
The Xbox 360 Elite doesn't get the RROD nearly as much as the "white" 360s. Also, HD DVDs aren't being made anymore so I don't know why you added that to the price of the 360. If you bought an Xbox 360 Elite that comes with the 120gb HDD, you'd have at least 40gb more than PS3 users and you'd have paid far less. Also, PS3 has stopped production of the 80gb. You can only purchase the 60 gig unit if you don't want to buy the MGS4/PS3 bundle. So here's the real prices. Xbox: 449.99 PS3: 499.99
The specs on the Wii are powerful enough for the intent of the system, which is to reach a broader audience with INNOVATION, and its working. Everyone should be applauding the ongoing innovation that Nintendo has been delivering to the industry, rather than make arguments on why its sucks just cause you happen to like only a couple of types of games are best enjoyed with powerful graphics.
Future GPX Cyber Formula, Genji: Days of the Blade, The Getaway, The Godfather: The Don's Addition, God of War 3, Gran Turismo 5, Gran Turismo 5: Prologue, Haze, Heavenly Sword, Heavy Rain, inFamous, Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier, Killzone 2, L.A. Noire, Lair, Little Big Planet, Martial Art, Megazone 23: Blue Garland, Metal Gear Online, Metal Gear Solid 4, Metro 2033: The Last Refuge, Mist of Chaos, MLB 07: The Show, MLB 08: The Show, Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire, MotorStorm
But it has exclusives that the xbox can't outmatch. I do't really see how Microsoft is targeting a more broad xommunity if most of the games it releases are aimed are adults/gamers (with the exception of viva pinata). PSN also gets new updated. I am glad to hear that xbox owners can have netflix on their system, however I don't believe that avid movie watchers will buy the xbox for that reason, as you can also download and watch your movies immediately on your pc.
Two of the games you mentioned are on a Sony console which means that they are not exclusives. And let me match the two shooters that you mentioned: Resistance (first person), Metal Gear Solid 4 (third person).
Hello again Death* This is not pointless at all, I am merely correcting that these people are saying, Such as what is truly blu-ray, reviews of games, Xbox Live etc. The Xbox 360 can use HD DVD, unless you were on holiday on November 2006 then you should know that Microsoft unleshed a HD DVD drive for the Xbox 360.
The guy that said red light is all we have, I can easily prove you wrong. MGS4 on PS3 = 1 Disc On 360 = Estimated 4 Discs Final Fantasy 13 on PS3 = 1 Disc On 360 = 3 Discs And they also have to take a few things out to fit it onto those might-as-well be DVD-R cd's. I have to kick my 3-shitty for it to work, im about ready to kick it one last time.....out the fucking window.
And I agree with you that just because the 360 has more companies involved doesn't mean that it's better, but when those companies are making quality games for that console, hell yeah it makes it better. Example: A kid may have all the potential in the world, but it's the one who actually matches his potential with determination and hard work that counts. Oh, and "America doesn't count in video game society"?......................riiiiiiight, you're funny.
Haha, to be honest, I don't know. I can't play Gears anymore because of it though, and my friend got RSV2 and it had never been out of his 360 and it said disc unreadable. He took it out and there were scratches all over it. He had to take it back and get a knew one, and even that one is saying disc unreadable!
It is technically impossible MGS4 can be on the 360 in the 360s current state, let alone it would be cheaper to buy the PS3/MGS4 bundle than fork out for the MGS4 DVD Boxset. Also, Sony are yet to pay anyone to get an exclusive, they admit that they may have to start paying soon.... what does that say about the 360? All this time it was the only one paying for exclusives and the PS3 is still catching up.
Mm, not really. When the PS Store updates, you don't have to sit through any update screens. The PS Store update is just there when you open the PS Store. The PS3 itself updates when Sony releases a firmware update for it. Which is DEFINITELY not once a week.
PS3 has Warranty aswell, so if it breaks you can get it fixed for free. Thats what a Warranty is for. What do you mean "All the games that were on PS3 have come to 360"? Metal Gear Solid isn't RAIDEN might be but not the actual MGS series. Xbox is only getting a couple of the PS3 games, thers still another 33 more exclusives coming out 2009 - 2010. MAG - Uncharted 2 - FFXIII Versus - GT5 - Killzone 2 - LBP - Agent - Fat Princess - GOW 3 - inFamous - Heavy Rain - ModNation Racers ...
Protein coated disks are disks that could possibly hold up to 1TB of data. They have not been created yet, and are not under development by Microsoft or sony. This means that if the scientists succeed in their efforts that both Sony and Microsoft could use them. Even if they end up being a reality they would not be used as a portable disk for games. They would replace internal hard drives. If anything you would take your disk to the store and have games burned to it.
You remember how Play station used to have Soul Caliber, now it's on xbox. Final Fantasy games, Square was sold back to Nintendo, 13 will be on xbox though. Resident evil, etc. There are many more famous titles they've sold away.
I'm not finished! Mass Effect, Bioshock, Halo 3, Gears of war 2, Forza Motorsport 2, Fuzion Frenzy 2, Infinite Undiscovery, Marvel Universe Online, Dead Rising, Kameo: Elements of Power, Overlord, Battlestations: Midway, Crossfire, Kane and Lynch: Dead Men, Tenchu Z, Dance Dance Revolution Universe, Chromehounds, Full Auto, Dead or Alive 4, Dead or Alive Xtreme 2, MotoGP '06, Saints Row, Halo Wars, Alan Wake, Banjo-Kazooie, Fable 2. Xbox 360 = MORE, BETTER Jump In.
The PS3 definitely has more "killer app" coming out for it. I love playing on my PS3 now, and it's gonna get way better by the end of this year. Sorry to anyone that thinks all of these messages are spam. I refuse to let Shad0wCK spread such lies and slander...
The Blu-Ray isn't buggy. It's a format... Formats aren't buggy. They did a test where they attacked a Blu-Ray disk with steel wool, a ballpoint pin, and a pizza cutter. The disk still worked! The PS3 uses HDMI 1.3 while the Xbox 360 is stuck with HDMI 1.2! In addition to that the Xbox 360 can't reach 1080p... ever.
Mass Effect, Gears of War, Halo 3, Crackdown, and a lot of 3rd party games that are on both consoles. I like games on both consoles, but IMO the 360's exclusives are better. The only exclusive on PS3 I want to play is MGS4.
Well, basically, I was going to say the same thing as Schmahadle. So uhm...yeah...read his comment. Altough I don't think opinion has anything to do with it. Schmahadle, which one do you think is better?
I'll be completely honest; I bought a PS3 as soon as it came out. I actually was one of the few that paid retail price for it. Anyways, after a few months of no good games and a Blu-Ray player I didn't use (I doubt most of PS3 owners use it), I bought an Elite to see what all the hype was about. I will say, after buying one and experiencing XBL and comparing gameplay firsthand. Xbox 360 was the better buy. It is my personal opinion after owning both consoles, that the 360 is by far, better.
I just don't get people who piss their pants with excitement that they can now see "American Pie" with slightly higher resolution, Blu-ray will die anyway, and I am sticking to the Dvd's.
I just turned my 360 off then back on. Every system has a very low chance of getting the red ring. If you plug it into a shock absorber you completely eliminate all outside forces(I.E power outages/power surges etc) that could cause your system to get the Red Ring of Death. Like I said. I just think they should have taken more time to actually develop the system rather than used all the time to add memory and a blu-ray player. And yeah, the Xbox 360 has flaws too, but I still think it's better.
Actually I can. The PS3 was made shorter to fit on the X-Box 360, and if Capcom used all of the available space on Blu-Ray for extra levels and content that they dropped then no one would buy the X-Box 360 version if they had a PS3. They did this for money. Yeah, if they had kept it exclusive then it would have been longer and had more weapons. I'm not going to buy an X-Box 360 because it would eventually get the RRoD and they charge money for what I already get for free. No Way :)
There we go! Although, after doing a bit of research, my choice would be the ps3. I honestly don't think Sony will even need to make a ps4 seeing as how advanced the ps3 is.
Itripus:The motion sensing controllers are not revolutionary but they are a welcomed addition. It was basically like adding another button/analog stick. Imagine the xbox controller with an extra trigger, nothing awe inspiring, but like I said before, a welcomed addition.
Oh good. I'm glad they gave you a little bit of variation on enemies. That helps it a bit.
X-Box Live has an annual fee and the only thing it does that PSN won't do is list the last fifty people you played with...

what about an elite it has 120 GB? and the RROD problem dosent happen if the box that ur xbox came in said GO PRO on the side.
lolz, Dead Rising has 3 Game modes.
72 Hour Mode
Overtime Mode
Infinity Mode

yea i think its definatly a cross between the two, but 256 players and hopefully much more vivid and expansive maps
This would be what caused HD DVD to die...
sorry i didnt mean to say music, i mean music functionality.
Yeah one of my friend has a 360 and 1 PS3. He originally went on the 360 more but now he's on the PS3 a lot more.
Surrounded by more air? Look, the ventilation holes are at the top and the botton.
I agree. At least I feel that since I'm paying for my internet, if I have to pay for Live, I should get dedicated hosting. Not have to play on my own or someone elses laggy ass connection. That's what bothers me.
I meant that Xbox only had graphics on it's side, it doesn't have motion control and stuff.

Congradulation, You are the NEW Owner of a new Light !! I bet you wanted 2 buy a ligh 4 the MISERABLE price on 300$ THAT A GOOD DEAL !
"PS3 Home" will make it extremely easy to meet people which solves the communication problem.
I don't see ay Xbox 360 games with 40-player online support! Resistance: Fall of Man has
40-player online and its free...
I guess they dont make em like they used to...
i apologize i was wrong LMAO
4 red rings means the video cables unplugged... sorry bout that
I'm not trying nor looking to make another arguement.
Resistance: Fall of Man (40 Players)
Resistance 2 (60 Players)
Massive Action Game (256 Players)
Blu-Ray = Long Single Player Experiances
PlayStation Network = Playing With The World
I just read an article in Gameinformer that says the xbox 360 isnt selling more. Cus polls state that 60 percent of all people who buy 1 360 end up buying at lest 3 due to red ring or just wanting another one. So dived the 60 percent of sales by three and then add it to the 40 percent. You actually see that 360 sells less to new people.
I'm sorry that you own a PS3 and feel the need to take it out on me. It's okay. Come cry on my shoulder. I'll hold you and make all the pain go away.
my friend has had 3 360s so far. His first one started eating his games, the second got the ring of death, and he's on his third now. That sucks. You're lucky though.
i had a go on a PS3 and it felt so much weirder
i have come from a PS2 so it shouldn't be that bad, but the 360 controller feels right for me :)
Battlestations: Midway, Battlestations:, Pacific, Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath, Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars, Condemned: Criminal Origins, Dark Messiah Might and Magic: Elements, Dead or Alive 5, Dead Island, Dungeon Hero, Dogtag, Diario: Rebirth Moon Legend, Every Party, Far East of Eden, Ziria: Tales from Distant, Jipang, Frontlines: Fuel of War, Guilty Gear 2:Overture, Halo: Chronicles, Halo Wars , Call of Duty 2, Call of Juarez.
I have had my Xbox 360 since Christmas 2005 and it has not broke once and it does not scratch my games.
I am sorry but you do understand that HD DVD's will shortly have a new verison where it wil have a maximum of 51 GB?
Please type in Google HD DVD and click on Wikipedia.
I've had mine since it came out and I never had a problem.I know someone who has had a ps3 since christmas and his GTAIV doesn't work.
My friend got his repaired in less than week.
Another fixed it himself.
Its no big deal. Besides, the new ones almost never get it and it has the best games on the market.
Sadly, a lot of good things in life cost money, which is why you actually have to pay for xbox live. But its worth every penny.
i bet they know that the RRoD is much less likely to happen when Microsoft fixes it or if some1 buys a newer 1
Xbox: 449.99
PS3: 499.99
Agreed. I got the new 160 gig PS3, I could have bought a 360 arcade and a Wii for less money, but I think I have a better made system.
The specs on the Wii are powerful enough for the intent of the system, which is to reach a broader audience with INNOVATION, and its working. Everyone should be applauding the ongoing innovation that Nintendo has been delivering to the industry, rather than make arguments on why its sucks just cause you happen to like only a couple of types of games are best enjoyed with powerful graphics.
while you wait to get it back I'll be on my web browser responding to your youtube comments in between Warhawk sessions
"It's a lightshow!" lol that was hilarous
I am glad to hear that xbox owners can have netflix on their system, however I don't believe that avid movie watchers will buy the xbox for that reason, as you can also download and watch your movies immediately on your pc.
actually there is a way to make windows work on a ps3, look it up, plus you can also have linux
Two of the games you mentioned are on a Sony console which means that they are not exclusives. And let me match the two shooters that you mentioned: Resistance (first person), Metal Gear Solid 4 (third person).
Actually, a lot of people already have one. And as far as actually needing in order to play, nobody does. You just want to communicate and stuff.
Hello again Death*
This is not pointless at all, I am merely correcting that these people are saying, Such as what is truly blu-ray, reviews of games, Xbox Live etc.
The Xbox 360 can use HD DVD, unless you were on holiday on November 2006 then you should know that Microsoft unleshed a HD DVD drive for the Xbox 360.
The guy that said red light is all we have, I can easily prove you wrong.
MGS4 on PS3 = 1 Disc
On 360 = Estimated 4 Discs
Final Fantasy 13 on PS3 = 1 Disc
On 360 = 3 Discs
And they also have to take a few things out to fit it onto those might-as-well be DVD-R cd's.
Oh, and "America doesn't count in video game society"?......................riiiiiiight, you're funny.
lawl to upgrade to a 120gb is how much? the same price for me to upgrade my ps3 to 500gb,
Haha, to be honest, I don't know.
And the PS Network in my connection works perfectly. I guess it depends on the reliability of the connection, not the PS3.
a power brick is that thing on the cable that makes it turn on and off
PS3 has Warranty aswell, so if it breaks you can get it fixed for free.
Actually the ps3 itself also updates. I did soe updates and my ps3 has smore stuff like bitmaping 3
Xbox 360 = MORE, BETTER
Jump In.
I agree with you dude, PS3 all the way. It beats the competition plus it has exclusive games no other system can play.
The PS3 definitely has more "killer app" coming out for it. I love playing on my PS3 now, and it's gonna get way better by the end of this year.
Sorry to anyone that thinks all of these messages are spam. I refuse to let Shad0wCK spread such lies and slander...
It's okay, stupidity is not a crime. You're free to go.
The only exclusive on PS3 I want to play is MGS4.
u can upgrade ur ps3 HDD to any size you want, ive got 320gig in mine and it was a simple and quick upgrade.
I'm saying that all Xbox has is graphics, it doesn't have the motion sensor and game selection and stuff.
No Way :)
lol, Do you think RRoD happens every second Fowl? I'v had my Xbox 360 for three years now and it hasn't gotten it once.
There we go! Although, after doing a bit of research, my choice would be the ps3. I honestly don't think Sony will even need to make a ps4 seeing as how advanced the ps3 is.
