If you stick with EV or decide to gut it to ally frame and fully K swap it, it'll still be great viewing.

Plaid ftw, I love when people have to try to justify cars like this, but deep down inside they secretly love it. 9 second 1/4 mile in silence, without fart cans and unwanted attention. Don't worry about the panels being removed in the rear. The body shop it was taken to for insurance appraisal had to remove them to see the structure damage. What you can see is what they used to deem it as a loss.
Strap a Honda generator to the back of it n it'll fit right in with the group lol Tbh it doesn't look that bad. New trunk lid, bumper, and bumper cover you could probably get it looking pretty good. I'm sure it probably tweaked the frame some but with some pulling, beating and banging to get the rear latch to line up I think you'd hardly notice anything. Mainly because a new rear bumper would hide the damage.
I recently drove the model 3 s with the performance package . it literally felt like being on a sportbike !! I could only imagine what the plaid feels like ! Congrats man !
Initially I was thinking dropping the drive train and (some of) the battery pack into a Civic or some-such, but it looks like it's going to be possible to make it like new, without breaking the bank (any more). Something like a "K" swap, as some suggest, would be daft - a heck of a lot of work for a slower car! What could work would be stripping the interior, fitting a full cage, and just having a couple of lightweight seats - it's a heavy car, but anything would be a help.

Oh easy, that thing has way more torque than this, this has 1050 pounds, but I calculated how much torque the Bugatti Veyron (Edit: I forgot to mention its the GS Vitesse) has when launching and it makes far more in 1st (1100 x 3.18 first gear x 3.64 final drive = 12732 ironically this is why gas will never be beat in towing by single-speed electrics). The only reason electric feels and is in fact so fast to accelerate unburdened is because there's no shift delays, although these days with the tech that makes the Jesko gearbox work gas cars can accelerate bloody quick, so its unfortunate that most are pushing for all-electric when there's no rush and in fact when rushing will wreck the power grid. Anyways, the Plaid is still a cool car, that fact won't change, but nor would the fact that Wyatt's truck is insanely awesome and fast.

They would need something with a wheelbase at least as long as the Plaid, and just as wide because the entire floor of the car is the battery. My guess is they are going to gut it, and try to get it as light as possible.

The car was probably at auctions because body shops cant get parts for them unless its a tesla certified shop and even then they have to order directly from teslas. we had two teslas total this month because parts were so back ordered. not even bad damage.

Their lift drivers give zero f's and are not about to even step out of the lift to discuss how you want it loaded or anything.
Thought it was crazy too. Should at least have rubber bumpers on the forks. I’ve seen operators more careful with cars at the junkyard.
Honestly, I would just fix it back to stock and use it as a parts runner for awhile. Its worth more than you will have in it.

Nah, this is gonna be 1 of his most important vehicles. It will be electric and a real motor. It will help launch the car. Someone mentioned the ideal a few videos ago. Or a few weeks ago. I had a feeling this would happen.

I really hope it's a Turbo + Super Charger Combo K-Swap. Motor will have ALL The Boost & ZERO lag. I've only seen it done on an Evo. I'm not sure if it's ever been done with a Honda motor... but that would be sick!

The car was probably at auctions because body shops cant get parts for them unless its a tesla certified shop and even then they have to order directly from teslas. we had two teslas total this month because parts were so back ordered. not even bad damage.
