The first two words in the intro to Medieval II: Total War, my favourite in the series, was "Stormclouds gather" ("Stormclouds gather over Europe..."). I like that this trailer did the same, like a subtle tip of the hat.

Actually, Games Workshop is going to eventually revive Warhammer Fantasy through a new game, “Warhammer: The Old World”. The CEO that decided to axe Warhammer Fantasy, Tom Kirby, who was profit-oriented only, was fired, and GW quickly recommited itself to appealing to the WFB fanbase, even if WH 40K was and continues to be more profitable for the company. There is even talk of the worlds of Age of Sigmar and The Old World, years down the line, potentially fusing together through some quantum/parallel universe barrier breach phenomenon. Going tonbe exciting to see how everything develops! Back to this trailer…so amazing. There was so much racism in the lore, that persisted just about to the very end, so I’m glad to see effort to breach these prejudices being made early on in the lore in this game.
From my understanding, they killed it because Warhammer Fantasy sales were bad in comparison to Warhammer 40k and they wanted to move onto Age of Sigmar to see if it would be more successful.

Yes it was done to create a new setting Age of Sigmar however they decided not just to pause and forget, but decided to end the story of the world.

Amazing cinematic. I really wish i could enjoy one of the mortal/human campaigns. The idea of standing up to the end of the world brought by chaos and death really speaks to me but i only seem to enjoy demonic factions 😄

@0Warpsmith I would have rather them put a pause on FB and have age of Sigman be an alternate universe. The way FB ended was just outright terrible.
