The John Deere 4044m is the smallest offering in the John Deere 4m Series of tractors. However, it still offers the same loader capacity, three point capacity, and standard features as the 4052m and 4066m tractors. Two of the very cool options found on this tractor are the vertical stack exhaust as well as the 4th & 5th remote functions. I will give you a detailed explanation of how the 4th & 5th remotes work and what you can use them for.
Powered by a 44HP Yanmar 4 cylinder diesel engine driving a three range hydrostatic transmission. Equipped with locking rear differential, selectable two or four wheel drive, rear 540 rpm PTO, category 1 three point hitch, ROPS, parking brake, cup holder, tool storage, seat adjustment, power steering, rate of drop control, and more! Highlights include being freshly serviced, 2 rear remotes to control additional hydraulic functions, & quick attach bucket! Add pallet forks for $650, a snow pusher for $1,449, or tiller for $2,199!

The valve you were talking about for the three-point hitches factually called the 3 point hitch restriction valve. Not being rude.
That is a nice looking tractor and the extras are nice on it and a plus for the previous owner, and for the next owner.
I think you covered the tractors very well. A 4 cylinder engine is a big plus.

Thanks Jeff, yes it does have good reach for sure! A little over 9' and also lifts well over 2,000 lbs to full height. Forgot to mention those features in the video.

Can you put in a diverter kit to control the 4th and 5th functions with the loader joystick instead of the levers?
I have a limbonator hydraulic saw. Need some pointers about how to hook into the hydraulics of my 4044m.
I have been looking into this same setup for my 4052 R . Is this a better application compared to a summit or WR third function? 2 rear remotes and a grapple is what I am doing. Ty
What do I need to be able to hook up a hydraulic top link on the 4044m model?
How does that vertical exhaust do at keeping the exhaust away from your face?
I've had several and have never noticed it. These new tractors burn clean and don't really put out that thick black exhaust like tractors used to do.
Does the 4044M have the Power down on the hitch?
If you have power beyond, can you run the hoses to the front
Power Beyond is only continuous flow and for attachments that have their own controls like a backhoe or log splitter. I suppose you could run hoses the front, but can't think of what you'd use them for up there.
You can add a EH 3rd scv and plumb it up
to the loader or keep it on the back for a an additional scv with the 4th and 5th. Power Beyond is also compatible with the EH 3rd and 4th and 5th.
