    Also, 3M acrylic adhesive is a PSA (Pressure Sensitive Adhesive), requires a specific amount of force for the acrylic to properly bond to the substrate. Walking on the surface may be adequate, but the entire area (of the newly applied non-skid) requires this pressure...especially the edges.

    I think I would have centered the pattern 😊

      That is the nice thing about DIY you can center it or not.

    A primer would help maintain the adhesion of the acrylic adhesive to the substrate.

    I wonder how hot this will be on bare feet compared to the white flooring?

      It is also an EVA foam sheet. Other than that, they don't say much about it, like we do at our link: www.sailrite.com/Marine-Foam-Flooring-Gray-27-x-94-Adhesive-Backed

    I wonder would this work for my food truck floor 💬🤔????

      It is used on pilot boats all around the world (if you don't know what pilot boat is google it) its not slippery and very durrible, so food truck should not be any problem for this

    Don't buy the stuff that has the diamond pattern cut in. We had this on our westsail 42 and the cuts expose an edge that fails pretty quickly, and essentially you have routered half the material away before you begin. Ours failed in Hawaiian sun in less than a year. We replaced it all with the slightly linearly scratched material that doesn't wear as fast and it lasted the four years until we sold the boat and was still good and ready to go cruising three years later. The brand is a hunting bird. Great stuff.

      Hi Rosie, Did you buy from Sailrite or did you get what failed from another company? I just want to make sure that you purchased our brand before you tell others that it does not work. We have had great success with our boat installations for years. Let me know please, if you like you can email me at ericg@sailrite.com. If you do not respond I will have to remove this comment.

      No, but a primer 94 would be helpful: www.sailrite.com/3M-Tape-Primer-94-Adhesive-Promoter

    Is this UV resistant?

    • @SailriteDIY
      @SailriteDIY  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It is a EVA foam which means it is very hard to break. Good weather, ozone and UVA radiation resistance - This means EVA foam is UV resistant, yes.

    You should have had a small roller when pushing down during installation for uniform pressure and prevent bubbles..

    does it adhere to wood?

    • @SailriteDIY
      @SailriteDIY  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That has not been tested yet. I think if the wood were painted or coated with a varnish, it might work. I wish I knew for sure but I do not, sorry. Here is a PDF of the glue specs: www.sailrite.com/PDF/3M_Double_Coated_Tape_Specs.pdf
