I never really cared about them but these newer singles (including kingslayer) have the catchiest choruses in recent memory. They definitely have huge energy and freshness in them recently.

I think that BMTH would be more fucked without Jordan like 4 years ago. Jordan was literally singing all the parts live, because Oli just wasn't in the best shape. Oli has improved a lot since then, but a talent like Jordan will surely be missed in this band

That isn’t the lineup, on this tour you either get bad omens OR sleep token, BO in the UK and ST in Australia. Would be sick if they were all on one billing but unfortunately they aren’t.

Kool-Aid is BMTH's best charting UK singles song in years and has a nu metal-like heavier vibe. None of the Amo pop rock singles charted in the top 40 in the UK, and BMTH turned that underperformance around a few years ago with Post Human: Survival Horror. Hopefully BMTH will progress more rapidly onwards with the NeX GEn album because in the UK a lot of fans are committed to the album pre-sale and are not likely to buy the same songs twice in the form of a digital singled downloads.
Oli had an interview or some shit and in the interview he said the reason for the delay with the album is because they wanted more tracks for next gen that no one has heard yet and it's supposed to be coming out in July.
Jimi Hendrix during the The Electric Ladyland sessions produced about 100 hrs of recorded music over 14 months. Album was 16 tracks, with dozens of unreleased ones. NeX GEn if released by the summer will have taken far longer and there will be far less recorded material. NeX GEn so far in terms of released material is a tad over 20 mins. More material is clearly very welcome and will give fans better value for money for their album preorders.

I've still not seen people mention it but this seems more directly related to Jonestown than actual Kool-aid. The Jonestown massacure used Flavour-aid but was dubbed "Kool-aid" by many. Mix that with the religious, cult-like undertones lyrically and you have your Jonestown reference; and that's why no "Oh yeah" breakdown

With BMTH new stuff I usually have to listen to it multiple times. The first time Im usually like "it's okay nothing special". The second time I'm like "I kind of like this song I should play it more". The 3rd-4th time I listen "This song is amazing and the lyrics connect so well to something going on in my life". The 5th time-onward "This is a certified banger this band just doesnt miss".

I appreciate you mentioning the sempaternal vibes on the chorus. I just listened to that album yesterday, and was thinking that there's something about it that makes Kool-Aid sound very similar to it. And then I realized it was the half step up or down in the key when Ollie is ending a phrase that gives me that vibe. Especially in songs like can you feel my heart, where it does that half step down for the chord progression. Either way it's good shit!

Bring Me The Horizon, when some of their songs don't bit right for me, I always appreciate the ones that do even if it's the old stuff which I got a ton of that I love from their albums.
I think this actually debuted in the UK top 10, which is a first for bring me as far as I'm aware.
Heard this live Wednesday evening. Was great life. Hell whole show was great. Great playlist and they played some of their heavier older songs
Every time I listen to this song now I clap along in the beginning and for some reason it's just so satisfying before the instruments hit.

I feel like that ending is very hit or miss, but goddamn i love it. it mideatly reminded me of "What i really learned in Study Hall" from INK where Spencer goes "that was pretty good actually" at the end of recording
BMTH are very much a "HEY doesn't that sound like" band they have there own style and sound but omg they are so good at putting in those sounds that we've heard somewhere before but can't remember where. It's cool because they get people talking and reminiscing. It's brilliant.

As soon as I heard this, I was instantly hooked and named it my favourite. The fact BMTH references the events that happened with the Jonestown massacre and the mass conjoint game end of all of the cult members and Jones himself with the ''Lased Kool-aid'' and also brings their twist really brings it up for me. Can't wait to see them on Friday

Definitely in the same boat. I like some of their older stuff, newer stuff not so much. They are a bit too poppy lately, but this one has a good mix of lots of their music, the poppy parts are fine too in this one.
Used to hate Bring Me The Horizon back in the day and how they have changed over the years is so amazing, massive fan of them in their later half of their work!

@@Kingcommaalex Back during the Count Your Blessing Era their sound was so rough and unclean and there was just better out there in the same genere at the time. They weren't anything special in my opinion. Could have also just been my taste, didn't like the overly staticy sound, prefered a cleaner sound.
