Uria Turbo is probably one of my favorite decks especially since it's only gotten better over time with the release of better Trap Monsters, Continuous Trap Cards and actual Sacred Beast support.
It's especially good in Duel Links with Odion's skill, as you get 200 burn for every trap you activate, and with the lower starting LP, stalling to bring out Uria, can get your foe down to 2k or so
This reminds me of one of my old decks. It was a Goblin deck (Attack Force, Goblindbergh and that kind of monsters) with a lot of continuous traps like Last Attack Orders or Labyrinth of Nightmare to keep them in ATK position, Fiendish Chain, Shadow Spell, Ordeal of the Traveler, and Uria in the back in case I managed to gather enough continuous traps. I once made a "Uria Turbo" deck that was more... continuous traps that are also monsters. Was built more to defend the trap monsters as long as possible with Tiki Soul and Imperial Custom, and had some removal in the form of Tiki Curse. The deck was like 2012 but I really enjoyed it, and it did pretty well against two of the three top decks of the format I built it in (2012 Chaos Dragons and Inzektors with 3 Hornets and 3 Dragonflies). Only deck it struggled with was hand-loop Wind-Up. I ran Necrovalley for two reasons - first, to antimeta a little bit, and second because Cat of Ill Omen was a decent "set with the field active" to grab Imperial Custom and just have no monsters die for a decently long time. Deck is severely out of date; much more good backrow removal nowadays, including everything from Twin Twisters to Feather Duster. But it was fun for the time and worked shockingly well when Imperial Custom would protect my monsters from battle. Also since I special summoned most cards during opponent's turn, Pot of Duality and Cardcar D really didn't hinder my playstyle almost at all. So obviously I ran both. XD

A true Macro cosmos deck with a lot of OOP support.
Crystal Beasts come out soon, right? I'd love to see a Hamon deck supported by Crystal Beasts, it's much better than this Uria deck in my opinion Also throw in Gravity Crush Dragon and Magna Slash Drago for more fun Continuous Spell jank
Unless I am mistaken, Mystic Tomato is a Plant and cannot be banished to summon Dark Necrofear in game 2. I enjoyed the content I love the Dark World deck, even though I quit playing around this time.
Not realizing they made a knock off version of the god cards, i bought a $30 box that appeared to have all three. It took several minutes for me to realize after reading their names and effects that i was fooled. I am not a fan of cheap tricks like that.
To be fair a lot of decks would be competitive if they had todays Support. I mean if gemini would have some specific modern support (gemini flash :o , etc...) support it would be a tier 2 maybe even tier 1 deck.
without shadow of infinity uria turbo couldn't exist even. The End point would be Enemy of Justice in terms of what cards there was so Destiny HERO's came out though the banlist is the main reason. At least that's the official story it could be to prevent the terror of Exxod, Master of the Guard who comes out in May 2006.
I play jank almost exclusively, and these 2 decks were favorites of mine. I often played Uria in tag matches with my partner playing (non-CB) Hamon. We called them Ketchup and Mustard
I know it would absolutely suck against dark worlds, but I was actually surprised Uria didnt run pot simply to recover the hand after setting everything else
i feel like mbt missed out on dragged down to the grave + mind crush shenanigans with his list, still fun to reminisce over dark worlds old format play. Also a shame they didn't use it in goat format because for a small window dark world had access to graceful charity and so much fun was had :D

you could have put "Bait Doll" into the Uria deck. forcing the activation of any traps on the field, both your opponent's and your own. Not ideal, but can help summon uria quicker.
i wonder during this time if anyone thought of Hamon with crystal beasts? Since when I entered competitive dueling there was some playing True Draco with crystal beasts and Hamon in the deck. I still enjoy playing those as well. Such an easy way to move about the duel. They had great synergy together
Well Crystal beasts only came out like a year later and weren't really competitively viable because the only two good ones were sapphire pegasus and ruby, but people who *did* play them at the time IMMEDIATELY figured out that Hamon is a better boss monster than Rainbow Dragon (a card that was only really ever good as a garnet in Rainbow Neos turbo decks)

2. Level 1 attack- use a ton of level 1 normal monsters and combo with "Law of the Normal" and "Triangle Power" to OTK the opponent
3. A true Macro cosmos deck with a lot of OOP support.
Crystal Beasts come out soon, right? I'd love to see a Hamon deck supported by Crystal Beasts, it's much better than this Uria deck in my opinion
Also throw in Gravity Crush Dragon and Magna Slash Drago for more fun Continuous Spell jank
Waiting for the day where you all include Defense OTK in the jank series
did they just go through DM era without showcasing destiny board?
Destiny Board isn't remotely playable or fun to watch. It's just a worse version of exodia stall.
I keep forgetting I need to turn down the brightness when it switches to Cimo in his jank tank, I nearly got blinded
I played Uria turbo in the first Reaper tournament and I can say - this is exactly what trying to play it in Reaper is always like. 100% accuracy
*I SUMMON **_SLYFER THE EXECUTIVE PRODUCER!!!_* .....
oh wait
I love how MBT just tries to get a deck that he can make work well... While Cimo just embraces the Jank fully force with no shits given
Heavy storm, dark hole, card destruction. Brutal 😂
Just a question, was Dark World Dealings not out in this format? Or was it just not used?
I believe it wasn't out, no
dealings comes out four sets after reaper format, with the second wave of dark world support like gren and reign-beaux

*ZANE TRUESDALE INTENSIFIES*
Always been a fan of none meta decks like I played true Draco at a 43 player trophy event and did good
I hope you played TD recently XD
@@otangakudyokeman7124 I did at my local and got 2nd place
@@nerdyvalue429 coz TD cant be described as non meta unless it was rece, tly xd
Unless I am mistaken, Mystic Tomato is a Plant and cannot be banished to summon Dark Necrofear in game 2. I enjoyed the content I love the Dark World deck, even though I quit playing around this time.
Mystic Tomato is a PLANT. IT can't bring out Dark Necrofear. ALSO, Morphing Jar is a ROCK.
I feel like Cimo could have taken game three if he had used meta to go into dark balter.
Zane would be fucking proud of Cimo’s last hand
Great episode boys
Not realizing they made a knock off version of the god cards, i bought a $30 box that appeared to have all three. It took several minutes for me to realize after reading their names and effects that i was fooled. I am not a fan of cheap tricks like that.
If only he had a power bond to complement the 3 cyber dragons in his opening hand
I really like that cimoo no longer spoil the winner in the thumbnail XD
Now he spoils the loser kekw
Usually I find myself rooting against cimooo but MBT is the first to make me back cimooo.
Jank series is my fav series by far
Honestly I wonder how competitive Sacred Beasts would have been if they had all the modern support back in the day.
To be fair a lot of decks would be competitive if they had todays Support. I mean if gemini would have some specific modern support (gemini flash :o , etc...) support it would be a tier 2 maybe even tier 1 deck.
Tier 0
URIA ! THIS SERIES IS TOO GOOD !
DARK WORLD MY FAVORIT DECK OF ALL TIME TO THIS DAY
AND SUPPORT IS COMING
Me at 27:37 "Wtf is this hand." Cimo 10 sec later...
Cimoooooo big fan, these series are so well crafted, but man if you're going to wear the bro tank you gonna have to eat some more :)
Reaper Format was released until what? I wonder what that set included.
MBT just misspoke, SOI is included. The hard end of the format is the April 2006 banlist.
without shadow of infinity uria turbo couldn't exist even. The End point would be Enemy of Justice in terms of what cards there was so Destiny HERO's came out though the banlist is the main reason. At least that's the official story it could be to prevent the terror of Exxod, Master of the Guard who comes out in May 2006.
Zane would be proud of that Game 3 opening hand
I play jank almost exclusively, and these 2 decks were favorites of mine. I often played Uria in tag matches with my partner playing (non-CB) Hamon. We called them Ketchup and Mustard
If MBT doesn’t play Last Turn at some point, we riot.
Your videos get me through the week, I swear..
13:16 nice Castle Town sleeves, MBT.
I'm here for my JANK fix!
33:24 you can just hear the pain here
Whether it be magic or yugioh i've always played jank the look on peoples faces if you actually pull it off is priceless.
Cimo barely snatched that first game.
Gotta love the Sacred Beasts: Pillar the Bully, Roger the Director, and Super-Duper Turkey.
Prepare yourself Judai, to face the wrath of Super-Duper Turkey.
I summon Roger the Director, in all his directong glory.
Judai: Ok hacks, I call hacks.
Kagemaru: What? Hacks?
Judai: You totally hacked that card.
Kagemaru: The hell lakes you say that?
Judai: How else will you unlock Zapdos if you’re not even in the Kanto region?
Was gold sarc available yet? Dont remember when that card came out
I'm suprised that the uria deck was not on reasoning and monster gate with monster rencarantion to add back uria after milling it with reasonig or maosnter gate, that are like 90% of the uria decks I have seen.
Insects is surprisingly decent. There's a lot of good ones in here
Also: The best beast is Raviel, Lord of Phantasms. I splashed him in my Dark Worlds just because he's so easy to summon.
you could have put "Bait Doll" into the Uria deck. forcing the activation of any traps on the field, both your opponent's and your own.
@@chataclysm2112 good to know, didnt know anything about competitive field before I started. I been playing for last 20 years but didnt start competition until a few years ago. Thank you for the knowledge
@@debreas6207 here's the thing with 2007 crystal beasts: a lot of their cards only look really good in a vacuum. like, some of their backrow is unbelievably strong, their archetypal field spell is insane for the time and ruby and sapphire pegasus make you go holy shit on paper (pegasus even got a release as a tin promo). but then you look at the rest of the monster lineup, and yeah topaz tiger is ok i guess, but something like amethyst cat is basically unplayable
@@chataclysm2112 if u don't mind off topic when they were released in Duel Links I created a Crystal beast beast deck where u play the deck as intended but add Yellow baboon into the mix. But guess in TCG crystal beast with Hamon became viable when only mixed with True Draco. Maybe that's why I saw them as entertaining outside of the anime.
Was metal reflect slime not released yet? Woulda been great for Cimos deck
Ah mystic tomato my favorite fiend monster 25:09
Duel 1 12:52
Duel 2 20:23
Duel 3 27:00
