One of the best episodes of History of Jank yet. Your terrible win cons were so perfectly matched, and the tension of trying to draw Exodia under the lock? *Chef's kiss*
Highlights of this episode: sangan searching a 1600 attack monster and legacy of yata not drawing two when mbt had a spirit monster. Cimo is a legend. Great episode!
Wish Cimo remembered Legacy of Yata-Garasu lets you draw two when a spirit monster is on the field. I don't think it was game-determinative, probably, but Yaksha is a spirit and enables the draw two effect.
Missing the double draw tilted me so much. It's like playing a card that says "Activate if your opponent wears a yellow flamingo hat: You win the game", and MBT actually shows up with a yellow flamingo hat and you don't go for it.
@@Mrflame5000 Then MBT talks about it Gage and he says "bro, it was so much worse, we recorded three sets before this, but Cimo felt so bad he kept 2-0'ing me we re-recorded it three times, until I just accepted I couldn't win. So it was technically 8-0, bro, I got 8-0'd by this stupid deck" (Don't remember what episode, but there was one he got 6-0'd when recording, because Cimo kept trying to give him one win at least)
21:00 You can draw 2 cards with Legacy of Yata-Garasu, if the opponent has a Spirit Monster. Probably the only time in the history of ever that effect have been used and you guys missed it.
Deckprofile: Emissary of Dakness is decent because it has 1600 atk so it can hit over some things aswell During the duel: Sangan gets destroyed, let me add the 1600 atk monster to the hand ....
I recreated MBT's deck in Over the Nexus and used the in-game deck analysis. According to Dark Magician Girl, the Time Eater deck is S rank, it "has a theme and is extremely well balanced", which is evidence to my theory that all she cares about is having the 20-10-10 ratio.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Cimo could've drawn several more cards with Legacy of Yata because Joseph had his Spirit monster on board a few of the times he activated it.
“Against any other deck you win if you set up the combo” I mean technically but against any other deck MBT doesn’t have the time or ability to actually set up his awful combo
this is why Exodia is my favorite jank deck. It's an anticipated gamble that is not only super fun and has so many verities, but it's also super exciting and nostalgic
Here are today’s illegal actions/clarifications: 9:43 illegal Sangan target by Cimo. Emissary has 1600 ATK Also, although not actually illegal, there were a few opportunities where Cimo could have used Legacy of Yata-Garasu’s second effect instead of the first, because MBT controlled a spirit monster at times.
Also, in Game 2, they forgot to halve the ATK of Timeeater after it was summoned under Black Garden. It may not have mattered, but Cimo would have had a few more turns to fish for his outs.
So, everyone and their mum has mentioned that Cimo could have drawn 2 of Legecay of Yata thanks to MBT having yaksha. But did anyone else notice that Cimo could have used Scrubbed Force's effect when Yaksha was bouncing it to lock MBT out of his battle phase and give him more time?
Before the Game: "Wow! Joe has a spirit monster. We may get to see the 2nd effect of Legacy of Yata." Cimo plays Legacy when Yaksha is out and drawing only one: 😭 Anyway lol. Thank you for the content. This was a fun match!
MBT: Draw you're last pathetic card, Alex! Cimoooooooo: My deck has no pathetic cards, Joseph! (One word for each of the following 7 turns): But. It. Does. Contain. The. Unstoppable. Exodia!!!!
The minute Cimo drew the 4th piece in Game 1, he had the game in the bag. Even if the last piece was on the bottom of his deck, he could have just set every card he drew for turn to fuel Scrubbed Raid.
If you guys ever feel like doing another exodia list, there was a really fun one I used to play around this time, using the trap card 'appropriate.' A continuous trap that draws you 2 cards every time your opponent draws one outside of their draw phase. I paired it with cup of ace, Destiny hero defender, Chainsaw insect, etc. It also made dark bribe amazing. I also used hand destruction and other related cards. Was a lot of fun. Not great, like most exodia decks, but if it got going you could go through your entire deck extremely fast. And defender is a pretty good card to just hide behind.
That last duel was the opposite of that history episode where Joseph got 3 peices of exodia off of backup soldier to win with 100 points left Now Cimo gets it off gold sarc 😂
I love how once he got scrubbed raid in game one any card would save him since anything can be sent for it. Joseph would have needed MST to get around it, so he was basically guaranteed a win if MBT couldn't get to an out in time.
Scrubed raid just says "during the battle phase", not your opponents battle phase, so cimooooo could use that to send his emissary even if MBT doesn't attack.
Cimo winning with exodia with 100 is reminds me of that one history of Yu-Gi-Oh episode were Joseph win with 100 LP with exodia 😂 This episode really is cimo revenge
here's a better jankie exodia build. take out all those single draw cards and replace them with 3x of D HERO Dogma, Plasma, Dreadmaster x2, Malicious (however many your'e allowed for that format), D. Draw, Allure of Darkness, Trade-In, Scapegoat (to enable Plasma plays) and maybe a clock tower prison for both effects.

Two of my favorite Exodia decks are Aggro Exodia builds. One was back when you could play Lavalval Chain, Emissary, Sangan, and triple Call to pair with all of the card draw available at that time. It was definitely game determining. He missed like 3 different opportunities with just one piece missing
He also searched emissary off Sangan so 🤷🏻♂️
