Saw Pitcairn Islands once and met some of the residents when they came to visit. I was a survivor of the shipwreck of the Cumberlande and was on the ship ACT 5 that rescued us. This was in 1987.

*John Mills was a relative/cousin in our family, many generations back and visited there in Portsmouth, England with our Mills family, before he left on the Bounty. The family had passed this story down through the generations.

Pitcairn is such a strange story. Remarkable in many ways. Excellent documentary!

Always been infatuated with Tahiti and Pitcairn islands since reading the mutiny on the bounty books back in the 60's only got as far as Hawaii, which reinforced my infatuation, sadly I'll never make it to Polynesia , but Hawaii was beautiful in the 70's . I can still dream. 👍

Interesting video but I don’t think you’re pronouncing Tahitian correctly, it’s pronounced Tuh hee shn.

A film on the life on the island rather than the mutiny would if done properly would be good
