What drugs has Pete been involved with? I know that he went through some serious bad times I think in the early 2000s, some woman who Pete was in a serious relationship with, got pregnant from another guy and never told him ,the baby boy was born and Pete announced it to the world, he was so happy and believed that the baby boy was his son, around a year into the child's life, Pete was told by someone who knew the truth, the woman denied everything, but Pete was wise enough to get a DNA test and it proved beyond any doubt that Pete was not the father, and it proper messed his head up.

I wish they'd given separate interviews, Sandoval dominated this one and Harrison is a great all-around musician who could have said a lot more if he'd been given the chance - when you're with one of your idols you're more likely to let them do most of the talking.
I must say I can't believe people in their late 40s can play this most athletic style of drumming. That's sheer dedication to your art.

I did two interviews that day buddy -- first George then Pete & Lee. on top of that there were many mic disturbances on Lee's audiotrack that made huge segments of him unusable. be happy with what you just got bro

drumtalk Well, it's not a huge complaint. I did realise it was the same day as Kollias. Shame about the mic malfunction, I couldn't have known that. It's just that your interviews are usually more thorough and I was used to the high standard and expected that for two legends.
      Keep up the good work.

there's so much great stuff missing through the malfunction that I can't help but get mad every time I'm reminded of it...

Maybe the live audio monitoring could help? To eliminate the possibility of malfunction going all the way through the interview

Great to see Pete Sandoval still tearing it up. I often think a lot of modern drummers just don't have the musicality and creativity he does.

I just love metal drumming. I always was most attracted to that sound. If I had any kind of musical inclination that's what I would've liked to play. I love how the drummer is hidden behind all that kit and kicking the shit out of the concert space!!!

Both of these guys are instrumental in evolving the death metal drumming art to an extremely high level. Drum work in metal has grown exponentially in recent years to a point of it being hard to differentiate if it’s human or machine but these guys have a very distinct personality on the instrument that will never be lost. Their influence can never be underestimated. If you play fast and technical extreme metal these 2 guys influenced you directly or indirectly. Now do more episodes on guys like Steve Flynn from Atheist, Czral from Cadaver Inc., Mike Smith from Suffocation, Marco Foddis from Pestilence or even Rick Colaluca from Watchtower. These are other players that deserve some respect and love....
