He is still rock solid to this day mentally & physically. It is soooo great to see him & Pete back together again in I Am Morbid especially when it seems Trey has gone off the deep in here lately. Wayyyy awesome interview. I’m only halfway through and I had to hit the comments to see if people were as stoked on it as I was. Turns out they are! Love this guy
I've been a Morbid Angel fan since high school, and this was great to watch and to hear his perspective on music, theory, and doing music by feeling instead of theory. A lot of insight was said in this interview with his background. Very cool.
David Vincent is one of the true gods of death metal. Such a genuine person. So much respect for him. The man is 58 years old, and still going strong. Looks at least 10 years younger. When Morbid Angel was without him, I stopped buying the records. It's not Morbid Angel without him. "We Will DOMINATE!!!" God, I love that tune. That is signature Dave. One of the best , and clearest voices in death metal. Not a cookie monster sucking the mic like a cock. The real deal.
morbid angel is only not MA when Trey is gone, Steve is an amazing frontman too, but without Pete too it feels weird, still MA tho \m/ and youre really missing out with FFF and Gateways
I've heard all their albums. I don't hate the ones without David Vincent. They have their own value on their own. But you have to agree, without Trey, Pete, or Dave, it's just a different band using the MA name. The point of my original comment was how intelligent and down to earth David Vincent has always been. And his vocals are so clear and still brutal as hell for death metal. Steve is good, but he has a more generic , cloudy vocal style that is very different from Dave. It changed the sound of the band. But we all have our own likes and dislikes. But we're all in the club. We all love death metal. The heavier the better. Even when you get old, you will still go back and listen to your faves.
