Im looking forward to buying a display tablet but time and time again some or the other thing makes me questions my choices lol. I also didn't know about the colour problem, I'm a webcomic artist so colours are kind of a big deal for me, so i dont wanna get them wrong ( would kamvas 16 be better in that area?). These doubts made me wanna look over to xppen, but a 13 inch xppen tablet is a 150$ more expensive although they at least have better technical support. So in the end im really confused about what to go with. UPDATE: Huion just entered in an official partnership with my uni, so we got onsite support from them now. Plus point, I won the art competition they hosted in our uni so I've got a 200$ discount coupon now, Will definitely be getting the Kamvas 13 pro 2.5k 😆😆
Hey Jaskaran, I totally understand the struggle its not easy. About colors, I just feel like it is a bit pale display thats it. At the end of my works sometimes I drag the window to my laptop display or my external display and check the colors. Generally increasing the contrast a bit makes it fine. I still use it on my projects and still happy. Unfortunatelly I dont know about xppen or kamvas 16 so I can not comment :/ I'm sure any of these tablets will make it fine, what do you use at the moment ?
Unfortunately Wacom's support isn't anything better. I had gotten a tablet from them a while ago and the power button failed. Customer service refused to get back to me and I was left on my own to repair a tablet that cost me $1,000. I've had a 2 different huions in 4 years (the second one was an upgrade because I wanted the laminated display & larger screen ) and they've been great. My first one is still doing work at a friends house.
I'm probably way too late, but do not get the xp-pen 13.3!! I have the pro, and am looking at this video because of this exact problem! The xp-pen display is absolutely horrendous, and no amount of adjusting can fix it... its impossible to color correctly without constantly having to check it on other monitors! you'd be way better off getting a reliable name brand pen tablet
@@Bos_Meong I replaced mine with a kamvas 13 and it’s worlds better. The technical support thing hasn’t been an issue at all.. just get a huion, wacoms not worth it.
I got this tablet about a year ago. I use a MAC and found that the tablet was always conflicting with the MAC OS/Huion OS. Practically having to update the firmware constantly. Also, LOTS of odd bugs. Currently the tablet serves as a pricey paperweight. Also, very little customer support from Huion.
I enjoyed this tablet for 1-2 years, but it ended up dying on me one day where the entire screen somehow glitched out- I had not stepped on it or hit anything against it. I had actually been drawing with it like normal, and during a call with my friends it suddenly happened. I tried unplugging it but the issue was too bad. Before that though, it was a decent tablet. Though because I’ve had multiple issues with Huion I’m now avoiding their tablets.
@@kabs255 i stopped using it because when i connected it (i have 2 monitors) i would have to disconnect 1 of the 2 for it to work and it was super weird, my mouse cursor would go to the tablet and i already forgot what other problem it had, but besides from that issue, i stopped using it mainly because i just stopped drawing
But is it great for use with vocal synths like Vocaloid. My disability forces me to use a drawing tablet and my cheap one is uh, not the best, I have vision issues and want to avoid constantly having to move my laptop around. Having a drawing tablet with a screen would allow me to only open the computer once and work comfortably without working my brain out too hard eventually causing headaches.

Unfortunately there are problems with this usb-usbc cable. It's expensive, short and the most important - it doesn't work in many cases. It didn't work on my PC or laptop and I'm not the only one as I saw many people on the internet complain about exactly the same. Reason fo it not working is unknown. Tablet is all right in general just the cable suck.
oh, I think they mention this usb-c to c cable works with `supporting PC or laptops` so the device should output enough power to feed the tablet as I understand. Maybe this is the case.. In my laptop I have the thunderbolt output, it makes it possible. But yes other 3-1 cable works totally fine too :)
@@marnokias the issue is not the cable, the issue is your laptop. Video over USB only works over thunderbolt, which means you need a laptop with an Intel cpu that also has thunderbolt support, the cable is fine other than the fact that it is short and expensive

Nothing about this is intuitive if you've never used it before. I am sitting here for hours clicking on everything, trying to open the actual program so I can start drawing! Can anyone help?
Can I buy it for learning perspective (as a beginner shoe designer) or else is there any better alternative in such a price? Your reply will genuinely help me

It serves me so well, the only down side is it isn't very portable, not if you are trying to draw on the go at least.
good to learn the standard isnt included normally. not like there was an option to buy it with or anything. x.x i am having some difficulty to get the display to work on the tablet however.

Why does it have to be hooked up to a computer? I can't seem to find any info on this. Is it for battery power? Does it need some kind of programming from the computer? I just want to understand.
it is only a display, it doesn't have it's own operating system inside. There are some tablets more like an ipad which has system inside, but this Kamvas 13 is more like a monitor
I was wondering if you've tried a non-Huion USB C to USB C cable with this. The generic Amazon ones are a lot cheaper. But I'm worried they won't fit, since the Mac charging one doesn't fit into the tablet.
I've seen a video where the housing on generic ones don't fit the hole around the slot on the Huion tablet, as the slot is not flush with the edge, but mine came with a free USB C to USB C cable. I haven't tried it because I'm plugging it in to my laptop.
Did you witness the boot loop on this pen display? Mine has this and I don't know how to fix it. I find for solutions here at youtube, but i just see persons having same problem, but without any solution, even from Huion support

I have a question. My tablet did not come with the matte film on my display. Does it matter? It feels like I am drawing on glass than paper. I contacted Huion for help and have to wait.
thats interesting, matte film is nice to reduce the reflections and it feels good. I guess it can also protect the screen at some level. So yes maybe contacting them is a good idea to be sure..
i saw you are left handed and ive been scouring the internet to see if theres a way to switch the display 180 to have the shortcuts on the right side ; w; because i would need access to the short cut keys. do you know if theres a way for that?
I remember buying a second hand kamvas 13 and after a month of usage, the pen would just stopped workin and i couldnt find any solutions. though i wasnt bothered enough to get another replacement for the pen, not sure if the pen was the real problem though!
Can you suggest me good softwares to start with this tablet ? I tried using adobe photoshop but for some reason the stylus is not working with that app
I'm using it with Photoshop and it's working perfectly. Have you actually selected a pen or brush and a colour in photoshop before trying to draw with the pen?
With the USB C cable, is it possible for this tablet to work on a surface pro? I know a surface pro is a windows (Microsoft) product, so it has a hefty chance of working, but I'm still on the edge about it.
I love the Kamvas 13, but I can't for the life of me get the pen to configure to only the tablet/drawing monitor. I'm forced to put it into "Duplicate these Displays" otherwise the pen strokes only register on my computer monitor. A huge shame, I really was hoping to have references open on my other screen.
Not sure why this is an issue? The tablet mirrors what is on the screen, just like any other monitor, so of course it is going to show on both. If you wanted a stand alone device, then you needed to buy something like a touch screen computer, ipad etc, for which you'll pay more than double for a much tinier screen, plus the cost of the graphics software for the tablet.
I was using a bamboo Fun for awhile I'm definitely not pro level, but I need an upgrade, does this tablet have multi touch or touch features? I'm looking for something budget friendly but has touch since that's what I'm use to, I've seen some XP pen and some huion products have it.
Honestly I don't use touch personally, I was not used to it. And this Kamvas 13 doesn't have it. As you said there are many options out there but I don't have experience with them.. :/ Where are you from> I'm planning to sell my Wacom 13 HD Touch :)
I'm wondering about this too. I was asking around today and it seems in my case (MSI GH65 Thin 10U), as it isn't a "thunderbolt" or whatnot, it won't work. Damn shame, cause it's a lot of cabeling !!
How's it going so far? I'm looking at getting one off of eBay too for about £128 since I have a £5 off voucher and the seller has offered to knock £7 off the original price of 140 😂
"why do they produce better models" bro, have you seen Iphone?? the release a new phone every few months with little to no changes, and Huion releases new models with improved specs thats all, you can keep upgrading the same model because than it isn't the same model anymore. that's just the nature of this type of product, there will always be a newer and improved version after a while

@@kitkatbar3809 and what are you suggesting? no way im buying overpriced cintiq
@@Bos_Meong I replaced mine with a kamvas 13 and it’s worlds better. The technical support thing hasn’t been an issue at all.. just get a huion, wacoms not worth it.
im stunned that this was posted on my birthday and realized the exitance of this tablet like 4 months later
I came for the review, I stayed fore the F'ing SICK drawing dude! Nice.
I'm very sensitive to heat, does it feel hot after long time use? The specific temperature is really appreciated.
I enjoyed this tablet for 1-2 years, but it ended up dying on me one day where the entire screen somehow glitched out-
I had not stepped on it or hit anything against it. I had actually been drawing with it like normal, and during a call with my friends it suddenly happened. I tried unplugging it but the issue was too bad. Before that though, it was a decent tablet. Though because I’ve had multiple issues with Huion I’m now avoiding their tablets.
after watching about 3-5 review videos these videos have convinced me to buy it :) I'm going to buy it in 1-2 weeks
And did u bought it? Is it good? I wanna buy it too
@@ezquey8037 I did
It is good!
is it still working well?
Always a joy with a new video fron The Berk
Always a motivation to see your support Peter!
Can you import art to be colored using a computer? Thats my main worry when it comes to switching to digital coloring of my traditional arts?
yes you can
Hi, I have graduated from high school and going to study cartoon and animation on university. I'm thinking about to buy a nice pc and a graphic tablet (will be my first tablet) so looking for reviews of this model because it looks cheap enough in my country and looks like the best that I can buy. Had someone ever had a problem with this tablet? What's it's bad sides? Everyone talks about good things of this :D
Well i dont know whats wrong with the "trust in myself"! But if I see someone who can draw in a way you did in the video, i think to my self instantly: I would never learn it in this lifetime. Even if i have a farly good hand cordination and an eye for designing.
first of all thank you! However you are wrong. You can definitely learn this, I prepared my online courses to go step by step. This way you can learn exactly my methods of drawing! :) Here are the links for my courses;

Photoshop for Car Design Course ; gumroad.com/l/FUmDx
Blender 3D for Car Design (for beginners) Course; gum.co/bQtHg
I am gonna have to buy one of these. Thanks for the review!
Does it have any problem overtime when it comes to drawing performance and the image quality?
drawing performance is dependent on the computer you have it plugged into. The drawing pad just acts like a monitor
@@BerkKaplanDesigner Maybe they mention it now, but there was no info in the beggining. They don't provide list of working devices either
@@marnokias the issue is not the cable, the issue is your laptop. Video over USB only works over thunderbolt, which means you need a laptop with an Intel cpu that also has thunderbolt support, the cable is fine other than the fact that it is short and expensive
How are you moving drawing area? Keys or touching like IPad?
I want to know more about clay modelling process like which type of clay is used for making a scaled car model , how to maintain the temperature of clay and some important steps of clay modelling .
alright, im not an expert but shortly; you can search it as `industrial clay` and there are heating ovens and mobile heaters looks like a hair dryer but way more professional :)
Ok , I will try to create a scaled model using some different techniques and your video is very informative about automotive Designs.
After completing the scaled model i will sent to you a video .
Thankyou
I see you are a lefty like me. I just bought the tablet and figured out that it is hard to impossible to turn the tablet around, to have the buttons on the right, and still use mirror screen. Did the buttons get in your way, while drawing?
THANK YOU SIR FOR THIS REVIEW ☺
I am a beginner and I don't know the difference between the pro ones and the non pro ones?
Sir you are Inspiration and loved your work too❤️🙏
Can I hook this up to an IPAD for power and programs? I dont have a mac computer, but a PC, but I like the apple stuff more, can you tell me this?
Please advise which should I buy between these two :
Wacom one or hiuon kamvas 13
Please help
I didn't use Wacom One so I can't compare directly but I'm quite happy with Kamvas 13 :)
QUESTION: I have zero experience with drawing tablets -- With the diminished brightness and muting of colors, with the device that you have connected to it, you can still gauge if the brightness and coloring of your project is where you want it or if it needs to be adjusted, correct?
Imma get this from Huion hs64 to this kamvas 13
is this tablet large enough if you draw mostly with shoulder/ arm movements?
It is almost like a4 paper, so if you are comfortable with a4 paper, this would also work :)
no. go for minumum 16 inch. better is 19/22 inch (if you want shoulder arm movement rather then wrist movement)
Hello! My usb-c port does not support thunderbolt and DISPLAY PORTS. Is it still possible to run a display drawing tablet without issues?
hey idk if you comment but, do you add the screen protector back or no, i had my tablet for 2 days and rn its scratched and im super scared because i didnt know that that was a screen protector that i could use ,and now its dirty ,can i wash it or clean it?
quick question, how are you moving the screen without touching the tablet, im so confused..
Is it useful for alias type of softwares too ,since the pen got only 2 keys, i still cant figurout how to use my grafic tab for 3d modeling in such a complex software as the alias , grafic tab has easily worked for me in blender and I've got my hands on the stylus that mouse doesn't give me that feeling and fun while working,
Attention: the colours on this tablet are off. Surprising how no reviewers ever mention this fact.
he mentions the colors are a little bit off around the six minute mark
I am on my second night of just trying to figure out how to start the program. It took several hours to figure out how to extend the displays, as this is a brand new technology to me. People should not assume everyone who buys this product has ever used a drawing tablet before. I have connected it, installed the driver and managed to open the software. Nothing about this is intuitive if you've never used it before. I am sitting here for hours clicking on everything, trying to open the actual program so I can start drawing! Can anyone help?
I've been using pencil and paper for years, I need to try digital :]
what model is shown in the video?
Can I buy it for learning perspective (as a beginner shoe designer) or else is there any better alternative in such a price? Your reply will genuinely help me
does not depend on your tabet but rather on what software you use. some have different perspective guidlines that help
If you havent gotten one already the h950p is an amazing starter one and its fairly cheap
is this one worth starting on in 2022 please let me know if there is another one better but close to 200$
Will the USB-C only work if the output on the Computer is thunderbolt or whatnot?
While you drawing can you use it without link to computer or laptop.. like the normal tablets ?
if you want normal tablet to draw with best experience, just go with ipad... even the cheap ipad is good enough than pen display (if you don't mind with small screen)
Nicely done. Just right. Thanks
Can you use photoshop without being connected to a laptop or PC?
No, it runs off of a computer. The tablet is just a monitor
I've been looking for a new display tablet, because seeing what my hands are drawing is HUGE for me! Does anyone know if this tablet works with Krita? I've heard a bit about software support problems with this tablet and could use some help.
Edit: i ended up getting a huion kamvas 13, since I already had a computer. It serves me so well, the only down side is it isn't very portable, not if you are trying to draw on the go at least.
Yes I’m pretty sure it does.
Yes it does
Are they color accurate?
Am I able to use this for my game development?
good to learn the standard isnt included normally. not like there was an option to buy it with or anything. x.x
i am having some difficulty to get the display to work on the tablet however.
Teşekkürler oldukça bilgilendirici!
Does this work on phone, it comes with a usb c to usb c cable so im kinda curious
I saw on some videos; yes. If the phone supports it. I didnt try with my phone yet :)
@@BerkKaplanDesigner it will only work with usb-c 3.0 or above if I'm not mistaken. It highly suggested to turn on dex mode or "PC mode" on ur device to fit the screen if u have
It does work on Android devices, but to be honest it'd be such a waste to use this with mobile applications

Hi, are you using a software to draw or is that built-in?
He is using Adobe Photoshop. No tablet has a built in software for drawing but there are some graphic tablets that come with a limited time use for a art/photo/video editing.
Tablet is just a monitor that you can draw. So you need a laptop/pc to run any software you wish :)
Yes Huion sent me their own brand cable, so I don't know how would other alternatives perform..
I find for solutions here at youtube, but i just see persons having same problem, but without any solution, even from Huion support
i got my new kamvas 13 and i am confused on how u zoom and rotate the canvas 😭😭😭
Dumb question - how are you rotating the canvas on the, um, Kamvas as you are working?
I use Photoshop, and shortcut R is for rotating, you can learn Photoshop from my online course: berkkaplan.com :)
HI, please.. buy kanvas 12 or 13 ? is the same? thanks.
hi, I didnt try other models unfortunatelly
I saw u a left handed. And me too , I have huion hs611 only and I flipped it to the other side and its rly uncomfortable to Draw since it has zoom in/out button that u can't disable
oh I see, I didnt use that model but I can imagine the problem... being a lefty is not easy right :) I tested their new model and it is more friendly for both hand users: th-cam.com/video/K_Dac62_b8Y/w-d-xo.html
@@BerkKaplanDesigner ah yes that is true .. is not easy but I guess gotta adapt to it. I can't buy tablet easily Because different currency but maybe next tablet will be the kamvas 13 ^^ thank you for the reply ❤️
Does buying a i5 11 h series laptop enough for this tablet to run smoothly.
Or do I need a rtx 3050 in laptop for me to do adobe animate.
Is there something wrong with Surfacepro with Sketchable app?
Im new to drawing tablets. Is it necessary to connect it to laptop to use it? I have an older tablet but it needs display (connected to my laptop). I rather use tablet without laptop.
You might've found your answer already but yeah, you need to connect it to some sort of device as it's essentially a monitor.
So do you need a PC for the art or...?
to use this tablet you need a pc yes :)
Does a Laptop also count ?
Of course:)
@@BerkKaplanDesigner nice ! Thank you Berk :D will definitely buy after your review as a professional so thank you again :D

Hello.. ur drawing so amazing. If you dont mind may i know ur laptop is? Thank you somuchh
What drawing program do you use or what should I use
for drawing I use Photoshop and I highly recommend it! You can learn from my online course all details you need: www.berkkaplan.com/courses/photoshop
is that take much power from laptop?
I have a question. My tablet did not come with the matte film on my display. Does it matter? It feels like I am drawing on glass than paper. I contacted Huion for help and have to wait.
thats interesting, matte film is nice to reduce the reflections and it feels good. I guess it can also protect the screen at some level. So yes maybe contacting them is a good idea to be sure..
It is preinstalled on the one I bought this week.
i saw you are left handed and ive been scouring the internet to see if theres a way to switch the display 180 to have the shortcuts on the right side ; w; because i would need access to the short cut keys. do you know if theres a way for that?
if you have windows you can just flip the display from the control panel
I remember buying a second hand kamvas 13 and after a month of usage, the pen would just stopped workin and i couldnt find any solutions. though i wasnt bothered enough to get another replacement for the pen, not sure if the pen was the real problem though!
I'm here cos I'm looking at buying a second hand one off of eBay 😂
Usually the driver needs to be updated.
is this the 1080p model?
Is it better than an ipad?
Can I use any type of USBC to USBC cable or it has to be the huion one
I’ve seen people use different brand c cables but they had to try 3 of them before they found one that would transfer enough power
It it compatible with a lenovo m10?
Can you suggest me good softwares to start with this tablet ? I tried using adobe photoshop but for some reason the stylus is not working with that app
I'm using it with Photoshop and it's working perfectly. Have you actually selected a pen or brush and a colour in photoshop before trying to draw with the pen?
So it only works when plugged in to a computer?
yes. it also works with a smartphone I think but the point is: consider it only as a display that you can sketch on.
Does it have to be connected to a computer or can I bring it outside?
This is probably way late but yes it does need to be connected to a computer
Am i the only one have trouble with the colors on the tablet-like how do i fix this?
as i mentioned i was also not super happy with colors but all displays have difference anyway.. it is acceptable for me so far :)
You can probably color calibrate and fix the colors
With the USB C cable, is it possible for this tablet to work on a surface pro? I know a surface pro is a windows (Microsoft) product, so it has a hefty chance of working, but I'm still on the edge about it.
I guess it works with it yes. It only need an operating system, I use windows and didnt have any problem
so do you NEED a pc in order to use this tablet?
yes
is android updatable?
What drawing software did you use?
photoshop, you can see my course on that too: www.berkkaplan.com
Does anyone know if it's compatible with mac os m1?
I love the Kamvas 13, but I can't for the life of me get the pen to configure to only the tablet/drawing monitor. I'm forced to put it into "Duplicate these Displays" otherwise the pen strokes only register on my computer monitor. A huge shame, I really was hoping to have references open on my other screen.
I'm glad i read this first before buying 👀 thanks
What! You can only duplicate it?
Not sure why this is an issue? The tablet mirrors what is on the screen, just like any other monitor, so of course it is going to show on both. If you wanted a stand alone device, then you needed to buy something like a touch screen computer, ipad etc, for which you'll pay more than double for a much tinier screen, plus the cost of the graphics software for the tablet.
So this is not standalone tablet, it needs a laptop to work?
I was using a bamboo Fun for awhile I'm definitely not pro level, but I need an upgrade, does this tablet have multi touch or touch features? I'm looking for something budget friendly but has touch since that's what I'm use to, I've seen some XP pen and some huion products have it.
Honestly I don't use touch personally, I was not used to it. And this Kamvas 13 doesn't have it. As you said there are many options out there but I don't have experience with them.. :/ Where are you from> I'm planning to sell my Wacom 13 HD Touch :)
@@BerkKaplanDesigner I'm from the US
I used type C in my mcbook pro but still black screen. do you know how to fix it?
I'm wondering about this too. I was asking around today and it seems in my case (MSI GH65 Thin 10U), as it isn't a "thunderbolt" or whatnot, it won't work. Damn shame, cause it's a lot of cabeling !!
@@andershattne if the device you are using is greater than 5 volts, you don't need to plug in the red cable, just the HDMI and the black USB
We got one.. wouldn’t charge up and comes with NO instructions. I’d avoid this like the plague
Dose it work on Android
What if you don't have a pc or laptop?
then you can't use that tablet. Maybe you can connect it to your smartphone but you wont have the full softwares to use it properly
Just won this on a bid for 110 glad it didn't go to waste lol
How's it going so far?
I'm looking at getting one off of eBay too for about £128 since I have a £5 off voucher and the seller has offered to knock £7 off the original price of 140 😂
"why do they produce better models" bro, have you seen Iphone?? the release a new phone every few months with little to no changes, and Huion releases new models with improved specs thats all, you can keep upgrading the same model because than it isn't the same model anymore. that's just the nature of this type of product, there will always be a newer and improved version after a while
