Two things: 1) I'm willing to answer any questions about the Guide. 2) I forgot to include Sacred Heart Hospital. It's an *Okay* map for Wildling, right about Moonlit Riverpark because there's a lot of open space -- making it easier to get long pushes, and not too big. But it's not as good as his *Good* maps because they're smaller.
I realized that sometimes the wildling's push pulls him away from the hunter instead of stopping in front of him. Is it a bug or is there a specific situation? 4:48
There are 3 phases to wildling's charge; -The build-up, where's vulnerable most vulnerable -The charging, where he's binded to the hunter and carry's them for a fixed amount of time - And the impact, when he and the hunter cannot move for a brief moment. Or when he stops himself whereas only he is briefly stunned and the hunter can move half a second before him. What's happening when he does a point-blank charge is he's skipping phase two. So build-up, and immediately impact. In the charging phase he's binded to the hunter. But since he never binds, he never changes his position which is why Wildling stops in front of the hunter, Samuel Barros. Is it a bug? I wouldn't consider it so. I considerate an unintended feature.
Very good video of the wildling. But I don't think taking * Will to Survive 1 * is a good option for wildling. Why ? Bcs he is difficult to kill, most of the time he will be the last living survivor of the match. Most of the time it's difficult to struggle free even with * will to survive 3 *
I'm still new to the game and a few weeks back when I first saw wilding I was like "what the heck? That person is riding a boar? 😂" It was so cute! Everytime I see a wilding main now, I love them lol
Question: In your opinion, how good is Wildling and what are his benefits when using him? I wanna at least know some good sides of playing as him ever since i’ve been getting my butt whooped a lot for a long while (This nerf on him is really making me feel less available to support my team...)
Chinatown was added lately and I think it is a really open place so wildling is great to be used there but I don't know which persona to bring can ya help?
[Skip to *Aggressive*/*Passive* if you just want the builds] China town is a great starting point for new wildling because of all the buildings. So many places to charge around a corner and to transition to. Like how Moonlit's bridge is great for priestess. *Aggressive* My biggest reccomendation for an aggressive is (Spectator, Tide Turner, Curiosity [Highlights nearby ciphers], and Knee Jerk Reflex Lv. 2 [Gain speed after pallet vaulting]) This build lets wildling easily switch between decoding and harrassing, and it helps wildling kite on his own. Some areas have bad places to transition without a boar (i.e. the middle of the map) *Aggressive* An alternative to this build would be Healing Lv. 2 (Recieve 20% faster healing) and Doctor Lv. 1 (Heal 15% faster) Instead of Knee Jerk Reflex. *Passive* If you prefer a passive playstyle or want to use Borrowed Time, I reccommend either (Borrowed Time, Tide Turner, Sticker Lv. 3, Doctor Lv. 1) or (Borrowed Time, Tide Turner, Snooze Lv. 3, Sticker Lv. 1)

As a wildling, you shouldn't be worried about where teammates go down. You need to be able to adapt to any situation. You CAN ask your teammates to go down in areas without walls if you were to rescur with Tide Turner, but personally -- it doesn't make a big enough of a difference. But you did give me a better idea for a video -- the mindset to be in when rescuing. I see a lot of wildlings struggle with this.
@@FuzzyDovely ahaha yea, i tend not to know what to do in certain spots once a teammate actually gets downed! it'd be really helpful to have a more in-depth guide to rescuing or to know when to not rescue because often i'll just blindly go in to try to help ballooned survivors.

How do you deal with Wilding's 2nd nerf? I honestly feel like he's more of a easy target now rather than a hard one, plus: his boar won't be able to assist him to harass or kite that much in mid-game. Any kind of playstyle i should do?
I much rather prefer the nerf. The only wildling consumed so much stamina on each push. Now he consumes basically nothing. When the boar only has 40/35 seconds of stamina I do have to start using it when I'm already near the hunter. Sometimes hunter chase me early game but I can trust my team to rescue me. I almost never get chaired twice, so I let them rescue me after half to waste more time and confirm a rescue. I've used wildling ever since he had an 11% movement debuff so I can kite without my boar. The nerf plays into my benefits so I consider it a rework, not a nerf. However wildling is definitely harder to start playing. It's just like when cowboy got reworked, you have to commit to changes or quit.
@@FuzzyDovely Alright... i’ll try to do what i can with what you consider a “rework” and just commit to the change, hopefully i can improve with this “rework”. Thank you for the help and info, you legend✨✨
I can summarize all 3 states of wildling I've been around for. The three being 90s wildling, 65s wildling, and 35s wildling. 90s wildling was fun, but he was terrible. He moved 11% slower and sucked at chair rescuing. Easily got stuffed, super hard to kite with for beginners. He decoded 40% slower so he took over 100 seconds to complete a cipher by himself, so you had to harass for long while his boar only had 2 hitpoints. Mean you're only allowed to take damage one time in the span of 90 seconds to keep the boar. Sometimes I use that damage to buy myself time to build rage, sometimes to block a terrorshock, sometimes I make a mistake and take damage for it. Building up rage took about 10 seconds (and that's assuming you're running in the direction of the hunter for a majority of that time). If you didn't have rage, you still moved 11% slower on your boar - it can die right there and you'll be stuck with 40% decoding for 60 seconds and no boar. If you missed a charge, you had a 25-second cooldown and no rage. I always had to pretend I had enough rage or as if my charge wasn't on cooldown just to stall long enough to have a chance of balloon rescuing. Overall, 90s wildling was a glass canon who took an astronomical amount of luck and skill just to play at the average level. So 99% of wildling players were ass, which is why he was so hated. As a wildling main back in 2020, you were always harassed by your team. So there's that too. - 65s wildling was a massive improvement to wildling, he didn't take luck and the skill floor was lowered. But he got 65s of boar time every 30s which is OP. Another thing, he lose so much rage per charge. If I got on my boar and immediately used 4 charges back-to-back, the boar would already be dead (which has actually happened). I've sacrificed my boar so many times from balloon rescues. When balloon rescuing, I have to judge if a charge will make it or if a hunter is baiting me, or if I want to go for a struggle rescue. Now on top of that, I have to see if my boar will die from charging. He's was OP but pretty stressful. (As usual) 35s wildling is the best version of wildling because he's consistent. You don't lose that much rage, and he only decodes 30% slower, he got a speed buff. All I have to do is decode, rescue, harrass, repeat.
oh! is lakeside village really the worst? because ive been watching gameplay and often i hear contradictory statements cus,, often theyll say big open maps with not many obstacles like lakeside is good but i dont know anymore,, does it just depend on peoples playstyle?
Lakeside is a very large map with a lot of open spaces, but 1) No one will be kiting in these areas, and a lot of good kiting areas have TONS of corners and chokepoints. Unlike Moonlit, where the kiting areas are great for transitioning between open spaces. 2) Transition kiting on lakeside is not difficult for wildling because of how far kiting zones are from each other. 3) This part is 100% opinion. Lakeside feels as if it has way too many spots that force me to move through narrow and predictable areas because it has so many scattered obstacles. And remember, this is all just what I think about Lakeside. I'm just one guy so I don't have the right to say what map is the best and worst for Wildling -- my opinion is just for reference and discussion.

Yes. The most consistant way of doing this is to try to push them diagnolly, when you do it perpendicular to the ramp it acts as a wall.
