Yo since u cant put carpet on chest in survival I had to put them on top of the hoppers and the chest under the hoppers with trapdoors in front of the chest
If you guys are having trouble with spiders getting stuck on the roof put ladders on the first 2 layers above the water it stops the spiders from jumping. Also in the layer where the glass is put carpet there it stops them from jumping above

Just made this (2-7-2024). Works great! I thought I had a cave spider spawner, its normal spiders. But works great. I appreciate the easy to follow steps man!
adding the "Bane of Arthropods" enchantment to your sword (or axe), you can kill spiders very quickly: with level "Bane of Arthropods 5" you always kill them with one shot
I just made this farm on bedrock and it worked perfectly! Although I would recommend that you skip the step with the magma blocks to increase your XP and loot rates. Also, this isn't required but if you make a viewing window of the spawner then you can watch the mobs drop while your afk or check to make sure everything is working correctly if you're having any issues.
For those of you who don’t care about the farm being slightly AFK, then I have an even easier alternative. Do the same setup with the room, stairs, and water, go to the corner not covered in water, look left and right and mine that column of blocks from the floor to the ceiling, then mine the third column so that a small 2x2 square shares a corner with the larger room, then spiders will spawn and run toward you but they won’t be able to get through the one block gap, allowing you to get free kills.

I got so lucky when I was building my skeleton farm there was a spider spawner close by so I just made the water stream them both into one kill chamber 😎
Iron Trap Doors might be a little expensive, but those in place of the Carpets and they won't be hit out of the way while one is trying to kill the Spiders. A Cow (or Mooshroom!) & Bucket would not be a bad idea to have on hand. A Light somewhere at the Exit of the Ladder, Froglight, Shroomlight, Sea Lantern or even just a Lantern, or get fancy and put a couple of Fence Posts up in the corner space and hang a Lantern (or Light Source Block). The Light would prevent surprise Mobs when exiting as well as guide one to the Kill Chamber.

The absolute nightmare when you accidentally break a carpet block and your chamber is flooded with 10 spiders, took me a full 5 minutes to over throw them and take back my mob grinder 😂

GREAT TIP FOR THIS FARM You can put magma blocks onto the kill chamber so that you still get drops and it’s fully afk (you don’t get xp if you do this)

Hello y’all. Question. I encountered 3 cave spider spawns very close to one another - all within the same field of vision a couple of blocks away from another. Should the farm as just focused on the middle one or encompass all 3 with it being a very big farm?
The spiders on the ceiling can be handled with a pair of droppers, a pair of water buckets, and a button. Still, it's living dangerously considering they still spit poison. You want to bring milk or plenty of food.
this farm does not work with regular spiders, i learned that the hard way in survival. The spiders constantly climb up the walls and even if they do get to the killing chamber, they are out of reach.
I haven't played Minecraft for a while but i remember multipls spawners close by were pretty rare. I just found 4 spawners all very close, is thhis a new feature or do i have insane luck?

To make the spider farm afk just replace the blocks from the drop with magma blocks to the hoppers magma blocks and you won’t have to manually 💀 the spiders
Seven blocks up 9 blocks winde 9 black length you'll see if you did it right once you do the water and you have 4 blocks left you can easily tell if you did it wrong if you have more then 4 blocks or less then 4 blocks
I built a 19 blocks wide a 19 blocks long and a 14 blocks high one on accident so i built a cube around it and finished it this took me 3 hours to finish
omfg I accidently mined double as much I need to for like half the thing I was like Dang this is a lot of mining so I had to rewatch to make sure. I mined a 18x14x18 lol
Okay I've researched a lot, and I'm coming to the conclusion that my Cave Spider farm on Bedrock can only spawn a max of 7 or so spiders... my farm doesn't look like this, but it's built correctly and the spiders are brought far enough away from the spawner via water. I guess I can't just AFK and come back to 1000 spiders
I see a video from custombuilder where the Spawner was connected with his base, how is this possible? The spawner is 100blocks underground they must despawn?
Guys if you use the bridge to break the torches dont fill it in all the way. Just leave a 2 blocks tall, and 1 block wide indent. Then you can AFK there.
@@pasca31 Oh, I wouldn't call it solved. I just made a hole in the top corner, and periodically I kill the spiders up there so the spawner will work again. You could place water on the ceiling, held back by signs or gates to drown any spiders that go up there, but that sounds like a hassle. I'm going to try designing something that relies on spiders climbing up since they're gonna do that anyway.

Look up a tutorial to make an iron farm. Helps out with the iron situation.

Quick tip the magma doesn't fully kill off the spiders so swap the blocks below water where they drop for more magma and it will auto kill

I would make one big room so that all 3 spawners are within it.
Frustrating farm. Spiders get stuck behind the glass and on the ceiling. Magma blocks kill them, so very little xp to be had.
Make a skeleton spawner it’s super easy and gives a ton of XP
I had spider spawner available, not skele. Used tutorial by Kmond which worked beautifully

if they are regular spiders and not cave spiders, then replacing a glass with a trap door will fix that
Do the gold xp farm if you want xp. It took me 2 hours to build it so make sure you have time. It took me from level 25-34 in 5 minutes

Attempted making this farm today. Carpets wouldn’t sit on the chest nor would iron trap doors. However this was an altimeter success still.

im actually using this for a double mob spawner of spider + cave spiders and you just gotta make everything 1 block bigger but it works!

I am assuming a recent patch makes it so carpet cannot be on chest. So I put trap doors on the hoppers and open them to get the xp

Crouching when placing the carpet or hopper should let you.

put campfires over hoppers and it kills them for you and funnels items into chest
