Wattles another great way for you to get rid of the pink petals would be to get a shepherd villager, they trade pink dye for emeralds. You could craft the petals into dye, trade them, and PROFIT.
Oh yeah, I remember a few games ago, a nearby village I traded with had a Shepard that wanted Brown dye. So, I planted a mega-jungle tree. Chopped it down. Built a Jungle Log house/ tower. And planted, harvested coco beans on the outside over & over so I could convert them to brown dye anytime I needed extra emeralds or XP. A proper, random trade (aside from Mending obviously), can really be beneficial.
I always go full nerd immersion with my spawner farms and build in an access door and a Redstone lamp system if I ever need to go into the spawner room for maintenance. Flip a switch, light the room up and perform whatever maintenance you need to do in there safe and sound 😊
On spawner farms the first thing I like to use is redstone lamps in the ceiling next to the spawner so I can have a makeshift on/off switch. Makes the rest of the building process super easy.
I was going to make the same comment. The first time I went to make a spawned farm, I looked at needing to outrun the spawning mobs and decided to build a light switch for the room before removing the torches. And maybe a piston door for being able to see in to debug things.
To stop the spiders from hitting you a row pf trap doors flapped up will stop you getting close enough to get poisoned. Double spawners are tricky and cave spiders double tricky. Another small improvement is a layer of water floating on signs or open fence gates along the ceiling will drown any climbers dropping their string into the water funnel. No eyes or xp tho. Thanks for the vid. Have a good one.
I use both these methods, but with the ceiling part, I leave a door where I can access a corner of the ceiling and manually kill the spiders myself, that way I get the xp and drops. I’ve never experienced them drowning though 🤔
@KTfromJersey if they are in the corners and you are using flowing water not a source blocks the level may be too low for them to drown. I use a solid layer of water across the whole ceiling so they drown.
i like setting up in one biome and building some things for a bit before travelling in a random direction and starting another base/setup. as i keep doing this though, i begin to want to build a single roof that can perfectly house most of my wants and needs within something aesthetic and functional. with that being said, can you make an episode of an adventure out into the middle of nowhere, and build a structure that has a portal, mine, small fillager trading, automatic chicken farm, super smelter, enchanting area, potion stand, sleeping area and maybe even an underground xp farm... all in a compact, organized, and aesthecitally biome matching. bonus points if you border two or more biomes and incorporate their respective lumbers. wattles, me and my kids learn all about minecraft from you, you are engaging, you keep their attention, and you can even make an adult chuckle with your timeless humor. thankyou for your committment, and if the money ever runs out, i hope you stay blessed.
Yeah, currently making a quad cave spider farm on my world, found a double right next to each other and a third one below, and while building it discovered there was a forth one close enough 😂
What timing!, I've been working on a triple cave spider spawner! Mines a lot more work, but a 1/10 for decoration. You get a 10/10! What I did: I started by digging through to each spawner & finding the middle of them, then changed my height to be between the lowest & highest spawners. I spaced out 5 blocks from each spawner (making an 11x11 room) & moved my chosen location over a little to be outside of them. I made each spawner an 11x11 room (instead of 9x9) since i wanted to ensure no escapes (ended up way handier as a spawner catwalk of sorts, allowing me to scaffold or build & inspect / light up (or unlight) each spawner safely! (& get back out when i fall in!)) I dug through again to each spawner & worked out where i could stand (without changing height now) to have them all active & changed the floor to specific blocks to mark the active area. Then i chose somewhere near the middle of the active area & logged the location. From the lowest spawner I lined 2 opposite sides with water sources, & dug a central channel 4 wide between them & lined above the channel with signs to stop the water flowing in. In the channel I put a water source in both back corners, making a stream that centers the spiders. Then i went straight towards my chosen location stepping down each time it needed more water. When I made it the right distance I made another drop off with signs like at the start, but this time into a 1 wide stream that leads to a bubble elevator at the location. I repeated this for each spawner, digging down till a bit closer to the right height, then making a centering stream & making streams over & down to the bubble elevator stream. Ensure any wall the spider can touch leads immediately to flowing water back into the stream (higher walls leads to wasted climbing time). At the top of the 1x1 bubble elevator is a fence post, where all the spiders collect. The 1x1 bubbles stop the spiders from moving away & lift all the drops. While the fence completely blocks you from getting hurt! I'm tempted to build a spider crusher & make a more elegant solution to storing the drops. I also need to modify the bubble elevator entrance as the spiders are congesting there (probably because 3 spawners is too many!) though the streams are doing their job & keeping all spiders in the flowing water, so they do go up in time. but i'd rather no congestion.
wattles. the day before this video came out, i found an abandoned mineshaft in the badlands. it was within a "crater" or "volcano" so almost all of the ends of it had TWO spider spawners, and most were exposed to sunlight. would love to see you cover an area like this, utilizing as many spawners as possible without lag lol
Something we all have wanted for years: the ability to put different slabs on the same block. Something I personally want: Half-Chains. If Mojang were to add both of these to the game, when making an xp farm you could put a half-chain on the top half of the slab that’s on top of the spawned, then put full chains on the half chains and make it look like the spawner is hanging from the ceiling. Like if you like the idea.
That interior of the build is one of the best and cleanest interiors I've ever seen you decorate. Superb! I'm definitely using that floor tile pattern soon. What do you think would be a good tile color to match the purple hue of the cherry blossom log in place of the spruce log?
Yes! I d'ont have to watch the 4 years old season 2 guide to build a doubel cave spider farm😂! Really good video! I love the design of the farm! And go Crabowatl! I'm not giving up because of 10 likes😂!
Put an open fence gate at the block above your head at the floor level of your drop spot and a water source above that. Then when you're on the bottom you don't have to jump or walk out of water. Looks neater, too. You probably already knew this.
I think my ultimate spawner achievement is probably in my current game! (where I have a TRIPLE spawner setup! One skeleton, one spider, one zombie) And because I am playing in Bedrock & converted some spawned zombie villagers back, and made a little nearby underground trading hall, it also became a low-efficiency iron farm! (Bonus!) And one of the best parts is, it's pretty close to Spawn, aside from being near Bedrock level, so going from my Starter Base to it & back again is pretty easy! (water elevator) Oh happy day!
For jumping down, instead of water at bottom, do sign, then sign above that, then water above that. You drol into the water, then fall 2 blocks. No damage, no jumping out of the pool at bottom.
Like @dragonborndariousking said, a great idea, anytime your building a spawner XP/ drop farm, add in Redstone lamps and an on/off lever. This way it will only come on when you are done with all the construction. It's also a great way to pause the spawns if you decide to go back in later on. I do that with all my builds and it's saved me a lot of headaches!
So, just out of curiosity: Could you give yourself more time to get out of the spawner chamber by setting some logs on fire right before killing the last torch? You'd have light until the burned out, right?
I found a mine with 5 spider spawners all within spawning range. I would love to see what you could do with it. I’ve been messing around with an xp farm but I’m a noob so it’s pretty disorganized
I just made a bonemeal farm using kelp as my main ingredient. Its nice to have infinate bonemeal. I trade it to a villager for emeralds and then use those emeralds to purchase mending books from a librarian 😂
How do you keep the spiders from climbing the walls? I built this in my now 1.21 world and the spawn rates are awesome but they keep climbing and slow it down
I found a place with 4 spawnners🤯 (989,-25,923) first (998, -29 , 934) second (993, -25, 945) third (994, - 34, 923) forth And i dont know how to move the spiders so i will try only using the first 3😭
In my opinion, spawners should be movable tiles. That would make a whole ton of things possible, like farms with all types of spawners, or quad cave spider spawner farms way easier to make!
this cave spider farm is nice but what is the BEST spawner farm?!
Blaze
skeleton
Definitely blaze
Skeleton spawner
Bat

Idea for the cave spider spawner; somehow move a cow down there for renewable milk to get rid of the poison problem.
They can’t hit you once everything is done
you definitely cooked with this interior! the block combinations work together so well and the details are detailing! love the build
I like how you don’t want to make the hoppers for the drops but make iron bars 😂 great spawner room and great episode!
wait thats a huge point about how much those bars vs hoppers cost 😳

“Complete with a bed” he says...
And will never be able to sleep in said bed because of the spiders. Minor oversight there, Wattles!
Shh😉
Absolutely stunning build design for the spider killing room! Love it man!
This build has a clean interior. If only there was a nice clean interior for your pretty pink house.
I hope u know we haven’t forgotten about that 👀
IIRC, spiders can’t climb ice, so replacing the walls in the whole farm with packed or blue ice should prevent them from climbing. Just a thought.
Omg this is huge!
Smart idea
Uhh, I can find this information anywhere else. Might need to be verified.
they can climb ice

That spider explosion when you were changing the wooden slabs to deepslate. 😂

Great spider spawner, now that you have almost unlimited string, you could do a netherite mining episode with beds.
