I am from India , I like how Chinese people are concerned with the development of their country .I do envy their infrastructure development.
Whereas people in my country 🇮🇳tend to damage public property which the govt has provided and litter on streets. One of the drawbacks of so called democracy is that the leaders are too corrupt that billions of dollars are spent in elections and campaigning and buying MLAs(member of legislative assembly or a representative of people in parliament) and the end result is same corrupt leadership. With change in leadership there is put a halt on the development projects that the previous government had been engaged on developing. If we had one party rule from the start we would have became atleast developed country by now . I dont care if the government is communist or democratic or socialist unless and until it is working for development of its people just like the Chinese. Kudos to Chinese people and the government.
I dont think chinese govt is as brutal and strict on its citizens as portrayed by the western propaganda channels . Many of the chinese that i have met seem to be nice and welcoming people to me. Its the western country people who are actual rude and pretend to be nice if you visit their country.they portray every other race and country in bad light.I think thats one if the reason why Chinese hate the west .They are pampering Indians now so that we become Anti China and fight and finish ourselves and the supremacy of the west is remained unchallenged. I also think that China would never attack India in a full scale war same thought from Indian side. It would be counterproductive for both sides. Dont get triggered by what our media says its their bread and butter to criticize china . We dont have any grudge with you Chinese people.
    Anyways Love from India.🇮🇳💓🇨🇳

China's civil engineering capability is probably unequalled now in terms of their ability to fulfill project requirements and adapt to the diverse terrain, minimise completion time and keep costs down. This is evidenced by endeavours lime this one in Chongoing as well as the myriad of high altitude bridges, roads and tunnels throughout the country. Some years ago the world's highest altitude A road was completed over the remote far South western section of the Tibet - Qinghai Plateau (elevation over 5600m). About 7 or 8 years ago road tunnels were cut through the imposing ranges west of Kanding (Dartsendo) Sichuan. These would be among the World's highest (above 4500m). These structures penetrate hard plutonic and high grade metamorphic rock in belts of intensely folded material. It's also a seismically active region with topographic relief (distance between local high to low points) often 1.5 to 2 km (6000ft). Daunting tasks indeed.

Well said. I only hope the USA overcomes its burden of dependence on war as a means to impose its power in the world market. The Chinese experiment in socialist policy by government and working with capitalism to advance and progress in every field is a model transitional to repeat everywhere in the world in cooperation instead of conflictive warmongering that only favors the forces of the past. We must embrace cooperation without restrictions and fear of power to dominate. Everybody wins in cooperation. Capitalism must transition to a better system of unity.

There is talent and capacity in solidarity among the world's working people that don't see other nations as enemies but as potential friends in finding solutions. • @grandwonder5858
      @grandwonder5858 2 ปีที่แล้ว +17

@@kenwood3856 I read a book written by an American historian and he said that when those Chinese railroad workers died they weren't allowed to be buried in American soil because some American government officials said that that would "taint" the sacred grounds of the white race! So the US government forced all of the remains of dead Chinese people that were buried in American soil to be dug out and shipped back to China! The Chinese government has no choice but to oblige since at the time China was a weakened country invaded and conquered by the Europeans, Americans, and the Japanese! Several shiploads of the remains of dead Chinese people were taken back to China for burial.
Also, adding to your post, none of the Chinese railroad workers ever had any picture taken of them. The US government and its media had made a conscientious decision to deny the Chinese people of getting any credit whatsoever for helping to build the USA in any sort of fashion whatsoever! Despite the Chinese being the single largest ethnicity in helping to build the railroads there wasn't a single picture of a Chinese railroad worker ever taken by any American whatsoever, privately or by the US government! That was the level of racism the early Chinese people were facing!
Once a section was finished Chinese railroad workers were told to get out of the way so that their white bosses and government officials could come take some photos of the work in progress to be released to the press! The same sorts of racism were also faced by Chinese people who were responsible for building canals, working in the lumber industry, fishery industry, mining industry, and laundry cleaning industry! The discrimination has gone as far as allowing only Chinese men who work in the railroad and canal industries to be immigrated into the US, no women were allowed.
The idea was to stop the Chinese people from multiplying in the US and since only men were allowed in the US they would either die in the US without ever procreating or had to move back to China to find a wife. Some Chinese men were accused of secretly wedding a white woman or had sex with a white woman and they were killed and it was all legal in America at the time to kill Chinese people. People don't know the extent of the racism in America unless they have studied it like I had when I took a couple of Civil Rights history courses in college.

I work on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, and I am shocked by the great work here. The workers built the highway and the railway in the harsh environment of cold and lack of oxygen on the plateau. In addition to the need to build bridges between the mountains, it is also necessary to overcome the collapse of the frozen soil all the year round. In recent years, a tunnel has been opened at the 米拉 mountain pass, so people don't have to climb to the top of the mountain to cross the mountain, which brings a lot of convenience and saves a lot of time. The feeling of driving in the mountains at an altitude of 5000 meters is so shocking.

It's good to see a Westerner talk about this. I am incessantly frustrated by the complete ignorance in the West, particularly in the US, regarding China's amazing accomplishments. The lack of recognition in the West for the immense development of China's population and standard of living is a crime against humanity. China demonstrates what a motivated country that actually cares about their citizens can do and the longer the West remains ignorant in this matter, the less they will do to change their situation
And it's not just civil engineering:
-almost 8 years ago Tsinghua University passed MIT as the number one university in the world for engineering
-China every year graduates four times as many STEM students as the US (and this does not include the Chinese graduating from US universities!)
-7 years ago, China surpassed the US in total patent applications **by two fold**
-the world's fastest supercomputer has been located in China since 2013, of the world's 500 fastest supercomputers China has nearly 200 of them
-China's top supercomputer is **five times faster** than the closest US supercomputer
-for the last 7 years Chinese super computers have built entirely with domestically produced Chinese processors rather than American processors

I think western countries, too, have many great engineering talent. The reason they are not building as fast as China is because of political tussle within their country.

China accomplishments in engineering infrastructure is possible bcoz they can plan 10, 15, 20 yrs and more, bcoz the ruling party doesnt change. In western democracy, u can only plan 1 term, at most 2 terms. Western democracy trapped the long term planning of a country.

Any country can do it too just that other countries change president every 4 yrs, those president spend more time focusing how to maintain their 2nd term with short term vision, if those countries were to give the president a 10 yr term seat, i m sure most countries can achieve something for their ppl. This is advantage of solo party in communism. Good and bad in every governmental choices/system
