I got stuck in a river once for 2 days. There just happened to be a T bar on the bottom that perfectly shot up and severed my shift cable on the trans. In addition to the $1k tow bill, I got to replace the fluids in both diffs, the t case, and trans, plus it took a year for the last of the ton of sand to shake it's way out of the chassis. I don't do water crossings anymore without being able to see the bottom and walking across first.
I had to spend the night next to the Bill Williams River in Arizona with no food or camping equipment because the owner of the 4WD vehicle did not scout the trail properly before driving into the water. Although the trail went into the river on one side, there was no way out the other side. Extremely memorable event!

Great recovery. You guys showed some good tips on water fording. Most offroaders probably already know, to the few, always run your breather tubes off the axles transfer case high, engine air intake raised or snorkel, ignition system sealed. Some of our trips had spots where we had to cross water , at times deep enough to come inside the cab. Buddy system when you go out to areas where cell does not work.
The years of experience it takes to pull each of these vehicles out is just mind boggling! And it's not just pulling out vehicles; it's understanding where in the desert they are, how the terrain works and varies throughout the year, etc! And Matt and his crew do this like a walk in the park. You guys are awesome to watch! 😎😎😁🤯🤯🤯Keep up the great works!
Matt's frustration with the customer was palpable through the screen, I'm amazed he didn't chew the guy out more. People like this jeep owner are why we have fewer and fewer OHV areas - they simply can't stop themselves from going off the trail and ruining the environment for their own amusement. Hopefully their insurance doesn't buy them a new Jeep, and they learn a lesson... doubtful, though.
yup. Can't stress enough that this behavior is exactly why OHV areas are closing everyday. Everything is gated because of this behavior. The exact type of folks that complain about it being gated are why access is limited.
These are the type of so called “Off Roaders” that will buy everything brand new and then let the insurance total and replace everything. Then start all over and do it again! One of my coworkers will contest to this!
Good advice from the Morrvair team DO NOT DRIVE IN THE RIVER! I'm sure Matt and Jaymie realized that the BIGGEST WRECKER WOULD HAVE HANDLED THIS BETTER! Nice to see Jaymie and Rhett on the recovery.
I don’t think this would have been better on the wrecker. That bank turn would have been challenging because of little space, and extra weight in the river is a recipe for problems if you break through and start to dig in

There are some really great high visual light transmission options that still block nearly all of the infrared energy, which is where the heat comes from.

@@yc_030 recoveries happen for all kinds of reasons. They don't' have to be caused by a silly jeep owner going where they're clearly not supposed to go. This type of stuff is frustrating because it leads to closures in the areas where it happens. The area was already gated because of this stuff, most likely.
I sure am glad you cleared up that whole lower 48 thing I'm so glad that you added the concept of upper and lower Australia being part of it.. it's almost like you could use all the connecting States below Canada and all the states above Mexico with the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans to the east and west as an example.
That's the problem...some people don't think before acting! And like someone said before, immature morons like this are ruining off-roading for everyone and OHV areas are disappearing as a result.
Matt, Tom, Dig Dug...new axle housings/axles, gears, aftermarket transfer case, lockers, suspension, true front/rear dig capability, frame strengthening work, hydro-assist steering, more tow points, two winches, a brush guard from Serious, Inc. (fictitious, only making a point), more engine torque...it needs it, you guys need it to assist and do recoveries solo, we'd very much like to see an entire upgrade series on it to near-Morvair capability, if not equal to it. Tom is MORR Crew in a big way now, Heffe has his Bronco now (he deserved it) and he uses it to assist and recover rigs, Tom deserves to have his OWN uber-capable, off-road recovery rig also...it will be a HUGE hit on the channel!
Matt pushes his vehicles to the extreme and they're so well built they never let him down. Tom's Digdug is a cool 😎 old school square body but it definitely needs a locker in the front differential and get rid of the leaf springs for coilovers for a better ride.

SAME - but in Wales!!
@@dancarter482 gosh I thought Europe and the UK having a heatwave
@@BubblesTheCat1 Nah, bog-standard Welsh summer; heavy rain between showers! Although we have had enough sunshine today to dry some of the more exposed rocks.
@@dancarter482 Gosh. That's not nice. I visited my sister in the UK (Surrey) in February 06, and it rained every single day. Not to mention the freezing cold🥶🥶🥶🥶
Was happy to be back in (broken) sunny South Africa!
@@BubblesTheCat1 We had a droute a couple of months back and probably another dry spell before Autumn - after all the tourists have scuttled back to suburbia!
I'm not sure what exactly felt different, but this is a TV quality episode!! Keep it up!!
Good way to wind down after work thank you Matt for all the hard work you and your crew do
One of the most enjoyable recoveries I’ve seen by the team. I enjoy a river, and or mud recovery. Job well done!
Peanut looks so happy!!! She’s definitely living her best life
The years of experience it takes to pull each of these vehicles out is just mind boggling! And it's not just pulling out vehicles; it's understanding where in the desert they are, how the terrain works and varies throughout the year, etc! And Matt and his crew do this like a walk in the park. You guys are awesome to watch! 😎😎😁🤯🤯🤯Keep up the great works!
I'm glad to see Rhett appear to be more comfortable and his input is refreshing to hear from a young man's viewpoint. May God bless Matt & his gang.
Cry more
@@kap1526 lol what? Who are you saying cry more to...
Their first mistake was owning a Jeep.
Would have gotten stuck.
I don’t think this would have been better on the wrecker. That bank turn would have been challenging because of little space, and extra weight in the river is a recipe for problems if you break through and start to dig in
@@THEpicNDCan't help but wonder how the wrecker would do with the rear steering and MUCH larger wheel/tire
Guys,
YaH The Heavenly FATHER HIMSELF was Who they Crucified/Pierced for our sins and “HERE IS THE PROOF”
From the Ancient Egyptian Semitic:
"Yad He Vav He" is what Moshe (Moses) wrote, when Moses asked YaH His Name (Exodus 3)
Ancient Egyptian Semitic Direct Translation
Yad - "Behold The Hand"
He - "Behold the Breath"
Vav - "Behold The NAIL"
He might have been yah, but He would have gotten stuck.
This just proves how awesome the rigs Matt builds are. Dig Dug was struggling while the Moorvair thirsts for a challenge.
Yes, sir, but dig dug is not finished yet
Great Power Show of the Morrvair. Incredibly capable.
Yeah Dig Dug dug a hole every few feet...😂
This video was a great visualization of the winds before and during a monson storm.
What a nice day to play in the Virgin River.
One of the most challenging recoveries I have seen you guys do. It is cool to see how you keep trying diffrent things and using your vast experience to figure it out. Another successfull recovery! Well done!
That river recovery was a tough one. I'm happy you got them out. Good jobs. Thanks for the video.
Its awesome to see some of the tough situations you guys go through, i like the ingenuity in an overwhelming & challenging business. Matt especially handles it well, you can tell he has years of experience with his humble confidence. A professional who has handcrafted his profession, down to the very tools and techniques he has created & taught for himself, his family, & the surrounding communities. Truly inspiring, glad to see Gods work at hand in your life brother, well deserved
And there you go-that's the key to this... These other commentators thinking somehow you need a college degree to do this, Matt obviously got stuck a lot in his life! Lol!
I've been stuck, and when I come across somebody who needs pulling out, I don't criticize... Been there, done that!
Someone else got me out, I learned how to do it and we pay it forward!
But if this wasn't common, Matt wouldn't be making a living at this! Lol!
I got my husky Malamute able to pull my ATV out when I get stuck - lots of places to get stuck in Alaska, always ready
just need to feed him a little bit more so he can pull out the diesel!
Have fun!
great recoveries and peanut looked so happy running in the water looked so refreshing and cool....thanks for bringing us along for the adventures. and keep making great videos 📹 👍 👌 👏 and recoveries....
yeah, Peanut is my favorite character in this channel 😃
How in the heck did that guy get so far down the River.
Tough recovery.
Great job. You guys rock!!
Jeeps are already full of electrical gremlins. Imagine a FLOODED Jeep?
The way Matt will walk straight into waist deep water with jeans and cowboy boots.. man’s on a mission
For $2,000'ish at least probably, it's worth it soggy pants.
not looking like a pansy is priceless. it's the desert; that's the safe water: the danger water was 3 mo. back!
He has a wetsuit underneath his clothes. Don't you know anything about these Hollywood types? 🤣
@@MOAB-UTThey haven’t been paid for a recovery in at least a couple years. It’s all free and they make the money on the TH-cam video. Win win for everyone. They get more calls because it’s free, the customer doesn’t have to pay, and Matt still gets paid.
@@JimYeats Where did you see this said?
Boy…..that was one expensive adventure drive up a river!! Matt, you taught many lessons on this recovery, mainly DON’T drive up a river especially alone or without a spotter. Great works MORR team and be careful in that extreme heat 🥵
Not to mention no Snorkel.
@@GregoryVeizades Matt doesn't have snorkel. Its not really needed if you are careful.
just dont be the first guy lol
That was a badass recovery!
Morevair and Dig dug put in some WORK! ... AND Peanut, can't forget her, she ALWAYS puts in work, hell of a dog.
Awesome machines.
Your dogs have so much fun on these trips! If they didnt want to be there you wouldnt be able to find them when its time to leave.
Matt you hit the nail on the head people take way to many risks on rivers. Which is good for your business. One positive out of it. You have the best towing channel.
Dig Dug just ain’t cuttin’ it on this recovery. 😂😂Probably would have Ben better off without him! Nice job for the Morrvair getting the job done once again!
Matt, I think you should invest in ceramic window tint for your recovery vehicles. Their AC systems, if existent, won't ever be able to keep up with the infrared energy pounding you guys on their own.
There are some really great high visual light transmission options that still block nearly all of the infrared energy, which is where the heat comes from.
Good MORRning everyone!
Good morning!
and there's Johnny!
Eaaaaasy Vair man.
The sun is about to set in Pakistan.
morning!
That river is what our back driveway looks like. Nerve wracking (but fun) every time you go through it! This one felt so familiar to me! Tom please fix that PAS!
It's amazing how quickly a vehicle can bog down in a river. Thanks for the tutorial, Matt! Nice job by everyone.
If there was ever truly a muscle car, it's the MORRvair. Great work all, thanks for posting.
You guys need a winch on both front and back of your rigs and a fold up anchor to dig into the ground. Some metal to ease cables over sharps too.
love seeing the first aid kit hanging there 😍😍
lol, when Matt walking up the river, it looked like the Moorvair was stalking him, 😂🤣😂🤣
live on the shore, sandy beaches....walking in knee deep water, soft sand...is a workout
does anyone there go up and Gold pan these rivers, creeks, is it legal...just for fun, looks beautiful there
Love the Captain Matt Sparrow reference
People drive in rivers a lot in the UK too. Looks like fun but I agree with Matt - it's a shame when your expensive car gets ruined
Peanut loved it as much as Rhett
This seems like one of the sweetest recoveries of all. Hot weather, but with a cool river handy, it’s not a hardship! Also, not very dangerous, like so many recoveries are…
Guys like that are the kind of people who make things get gated off, thus ruining it for everyone.
Well, he (the owner of the Jeep) did say the roads were gated so he took to the river.
@@johnhpalmer6098 Illegal in most states to drive in the river channel. Could also be a federal Clean Water Act violation. Not to mention it's one of the fundamental rules of Tread Lightly to not drive in river channels. Pure stupidity and deserves to have his expensive Jeep ruined.
@@upscaleshack Not arguing that at all, but that was what the owner of jeep said.
@@johnhpalmer6098Usually things are gated for a reason. Doesn’t mean it’s a challenge where you need to figure out a way around them.
Some people have the idea that everything should be open to them if they just want to go check it out. Sure, the didn’t intend anything bad and just wanted to see some ruins. But, not everything is so simple and good.
Great recovery, Rhett is learning the rope's . Thanks for picking up the trash on the river. Good to see Jamie again in the right clothes for once. David, Utah.♥♥♥.
Going into a river solo, while not having a snorkle is beyond me.
😂 Right ! 😂
Stupid is as stupid does
I can always click the "Thumbs UP" before a video knowing it'll be a good one. Matt that MORRvair is truly one great rig.
You all are in my prayers
Hoka Hey
The things people do for fun;... And then, very impressive how the whole "recovery team" walk through the river to rescue a customer's vehicle. Good job guys. And yes, I love how Peanut had a lot of fun out of this one. Kudos to you all.
I hope the jeep owner checks out future rivers before attempting another river adventure. Great job by Matt and staff.
Especially the law, hope he gets ticketed as its very illegal
River looks so relieving and comfortable, awesome job guys ...Jamie love your come backs😂
Jaime asked Matt if he was diving under the jeep and he was just cooling off
Note to Jamie. When I first started watching your all's channel I remember you sitting behind a desk in a front little cubby of an office. You have come a long way for you and am glad
Props to everyone on the MORR for staying calm, cool, and collected. Gotta be somewhat frustrating when people do dumb stuff like this lol
If people didn't do dumb stuff like this they would have no business so can't imagine its frustrating for them
@@yc_030 recoveries happen for all kinds of reasons. They don't' have to be caused by a silly jeep owner going where they're clearly not supposed to go. This type of stuff is frustrating because it leads to closures in the areas where it happens. The area was already gated because of this stuff, most likely.
Cant help but think that dog most enjoy its life so much. Nice adventures outside. You can tell how good a guy is the way he treats his dogs.
Rhett (sorry if I spelled that wrong) is a badass for getting that tire out of the river! Matt, you've raised an awesome kid!
Your channel is so much more entertaining than the other recovery channels. I'm glad you realize that not every aspect of your life is video worthy.
and yet he realizes his dogs are! 😁😍
I cant even imagine getting in that situation, and finding a recovery team to get me out! These guys are bold.
Right as i finish watching fab rats video matt drops his video. Love these mornings
This was a great rescue! The River was not too high except for that big hole!!Way to go Matt’sOf
Wow! That is crazy driving down a river like that, hope he can get his Jeep fixed back up.
Built a off-road wrecker doesn’t bring the wrecker… 😝 love y’all and just teasing
It would be interesting to start asking the recovered folks..."what was your thought process to get into this mess?" 😅
That's the problem...some people don't think before acting! And like someone said before, immature morons like this are ruining off-roading for everyone and OHV areas are disappearing as a result.
Other than knowing when people died or got hurt, your recovery trips seem kindof fun.
If the road is closed and gated on your way to somewhere you probably should not go there. Bummer the rig was ruined, great recovery and video!
Nonsense! It means you have your little girl go scout out a trail
The power and strength of the morvair is amazing, that had to be alot of stress on equipment
Tom is MORR Crew in a big way now, Heffe has his Bronco now (he deserved it) and he uses it to assist and recover rigs, Tom deserves to have his OWN uber-capable, off-road recovery rig also...it will be a HUGE hit on the channel!
you guys never ever fail to impress me, probably the most impressive recovery in a while, morvaire for the win👍🏻💪🏼
Matt pushes his vehicles to the extreme and they're so well built they never let him down. Tom's Digdug is a cool 😎 old school square body but it definitely needs a locker in the front differential and get rid of the leaf springs for coilovers for a better ride.
he should try letting some air out of them all terrains.
"Well built" isnt how anyone would describe a jeep haha
Dig Doug is definitely teaching me why i have so much work to do on my truck
Thank you TomTom
I love how Matt has really nice Rigs but will also send them straight into the bushes if it means helping someone
Well, Matt does have Robby, thank God, and don't all of us who play with internal combustion drivable and rideable toys wish we did?! ;)
Really cool how each rescue is a chess game and problem solving. Really interesting to watch, and definitely a bad day for the family's rig. Rhett is correct! He should be filming from a tube floating behind! 😄
