You guys are the best I can't wait to see what is next to be Built. Shawn is killing it on busting these jobs out and Paul Amazes me at what he does. Wish Ben was here thow. Ben makes me laugh. Great job filming Landon
Time will tell how the CORE lower 4-Link bracket bolts hold up. A design improvement would be to drill larger pass thru holes and weld in bolt sleeves to prevent the uni-rail from compressing. Over time, the bolts will loosen from the flex in the uni-rail. I sleeved my XJ front suspension mounting points and also the steering box bolt holes when I plated the uni-rails front to back and it's been solid for over 15yrs.
Props for using a crescent wrench! In all the years my dad was a service manager and even in retired life, he had multiple size crescent wrenches in his toolbox, and of course no power ratchets or anything. I love the channel and the whole family. Many Blessings!
I do appreciate that you address the comments. Sometimes I feel like TH-camrs just do what they want and don’t give a … what people think or explain why you make some of the decisions you do.
Hey Michell, we use Factor at our house. They are really good. We do four meals a week with Factor to make meals easier. Not a commercial. Just the truth.
Great job. Might want to weld that upper track bar brace to the frame rail and use a brace connecting both frame rail. You'll start getting flex over time. Love my XJ. 😊
I'm a simple man, I see an XJ, I automatically like the video. Also another good upgrade is the rear disc conversion on those. You can rob parts from a Jeep Liberty's rear axle for that job.
Gotta remember the xj was designed in 1984. They had 120 horsepower and 27 inch tires. They grew greatly in the 90s and the brakes never caught up. Then add massive tires it's rough. The WJ fixed a bunch of the 90s jeeps short comings.
These things were tiny grocery getters. The Dana 30 is like the weakest of them all. That really should have been upgraded to a 44 from the start. He now has a ton of money and work into a very weak front end. But hey at least he’s having fun that’s really all that matters in the end!
Whatever it takes to get the job done. Be it mechanical, body fabrication, be Johnny on the spots for other's. When the need arises. You are truly well rounded caring individuals. Each one of serves the channel perfectly. Bless you all 🙏
Y’all are doing a job for a customer, great to see! I thought y’all used to work on customer vehicles when I first started watching the channel! Good to see this repair! 👌🏻👍🏼👍🏼👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Hello Lando, camera man! You go my friend!
On the WJ knuckle swap, the XJ/WJ upper ball joints are the same part number, but on the lowers you should use WJ ball joints because the taper is different.
I bought one of those green 40 oz Snap On hammers so I could be as cool as you, Paul, however I still like the feel of my wooden-handled hammers better.
I love XJ's. The first vehicle i bought was a white 92 xj sport. I gave myself and dozens of other people stories that they probably tell people to this day. I had 3 XJ's in total. The 2nd one i kinda hit a telephone pole at 55 mph and flipped and rolled at least once. They are tough, light, and in my opinion one of if not the best vehicle ever made. In all fairness the 2nd probably saved my life.
Crazy coincidence. I am in the middle of doing the same WJ swap on my YJ right now. The bottom ball joint is the important one to change, since the WJ ball joint is a slightly different taper on the lower. The top is fine to leave. The bent C is a little concerning however!
Love the channel guys ! Ive watched every episode and learn something new with you guys every episode! Just my 2 cents You guys should cut an access door in the tool box so when things drop down you can just open the back up . Cheers guys keep the content rolling in .
Look. I been watching this channel for years. Way before the golden nugget. I showed this channel to my Mom. She's like yeah. Her Dad always tore down the engines and set the parts aside for the winter. Reassembled in the spring. She loved this crap. Doesn't fit. Cut. Weld. Lubricate. You guys did me a solid. Mom passed. Anyway. Canadians do 2 things. Show up and work hard. Or. Apologize for accidentally be8ng the best.
Just be sure to make sure that rear shackle angle is at 45 deg..once I put some relocation brackets in and tweaked the shackle angle I don't have anymore weird steering or body roll issues any longer.
Fab from scratch is fun to watch, but a kit install like this is what most people will do and it helps to see how these go in. 9:01 Who doesn't like queso fundido?! Melted cheese makes everything delicious!
Michelle, I took your advice and ordered up some Factor Meals. Since I'm a fat-ass I chose the low-carb (keto) meals and I love them! Other meal services don't even offer low-carb plans so I really like Factor for that reason. Super tasty, no prep, just a couple of minutes in the micro! I'm definitely a fan! Thanks!
Paul don’t know if you read comments,, but your steel billet cam vs iron gear is not compatible! As far as I know there only three sizes of distributor shafts. .5 , .491 , .427. Small cap Tbi distributor is .427 . Crower number 76002 is a .427 bronze gear.. But I would run a melonized gear . You can get them in .427 diameter anywhere , like summit .
I thought using a crescent wrench when you have a shop full of tools was a Utah thing. You, Matt, Robbie all do it. Rory does not seem to but then he's monowrenchic.
I have Core 4x4’s radius arm kit on my XJ and drilling out the frame rails for those big bolts was the hardest part. Especially since the previous owner put some kind of crap almost like concrete inside the frame as a reinforcement.
Paul & Michelle, you guys live in the coolest land, in the U.S. I’ve been in your area before. I love watching your videos to see all the terrain & Mountains. From your friend in Canada
rear disc brakes are the best upgrade to do on a jeep like that. i swapped a grand cherokee rear disc brake axle into my yj on 35's and could no believe the braking improvment
Amazing... with the amount of 'overhead' work (especially the cutting and grinding) you do, y'all are the masters of 'the safety squint'. ...that or you edit out the "Hold on. Got something in my eye" moments. 🤷🏻♂️
Harsh words about your work? Never accept criticism from someone that you wouldn't take advice from. Besides, some days it's amusing watching someone else feeling the pain, and you always seem to pull it out in the end, so I learn a few ways not to do things, and I'm finally honest enough with myself to realize that just because you make it look easy on the channel there is no way I should even think about attempting it. Of course, you have inspired me to make small mods to parts. The intake boot for my Virago was missing a return line. So in the Fab Rat spirit I cut the copper pipe out of the original and drilled out the new boot and pressed in the brass line. Small Simple Steps baby!
10:20 thru 11:06 I bet the Core company you received the kit from were laughing their rears off that Paul, "Paul'd it"! I so see myself in that same situation often! Good humor keeps the frustration levels down.
Those lower arms are supposed to have the bend on the bottom. I have a set of Core 4x4 lower front arms and I had initially installed them the way you did. After speaking to Core, they said to flip them over. And, if you look closely, at full droop, the arms will actually contact the shock mount. At least mine did, and an LJ has the same front suspension as the XJ.
When you guys are grinding over your head and you're looking up you need to be wearing safety glasses. I know that you've done it a thousand times but it only takes one time for something bad to happen. Take care of your eyes
At 7:40, I've watched a guy stitching a cast iron press frame crack, and he had a jig made up to add leverage, so he could easily push on the back of his drill. It wasn't a Harbor freight cordless one though 😎
The WJ knuckle swap is the BEST mod that I've done to my XJ. I also have KJ rear calipers on a 78 SJ D44 which was NOT an easy accomplishment. I am super interested to see what you do for a master cyl. I also need to upgrade mine. I already have a double diaphragm booster, I do think I need to change my prop valve tho.
If you have disks in the rear you need to take the guts out of a zj proportioning valve and put it in your xj one. Just pulled one yesterday for my 8.8 swap.
Almost 6,000 views in 17 minutes, is a good sign of the popularity of this channel.
Greetings from Romania ❤🇷🇴
Nice to see Lando on the camera today
Paul, Sean and Lando and Gary did some awesome upgrades on Gary's Jeep. Going to be much better.
You guys are the best I can't wait to see what is next to be Built. Shawn is killing it on busting these jobs out and Paul Amazes me at what he does. Wish Ben was here thow. Ben makes me laugh. Great job filming Landon
Great 👍 content guys. You guys do amazing work. Thanks 👍 for sharing.

I'm with Grandma Lolly. I am not a cat person. But, that little cat you have has to be the coolest cat ever.
Really like the simplicity of those Cherokees, Nice job.
It blows my mind they stopped making them, even if they got rid of the I-6 (emissions unfortunately 🤮 ), they would have still sold like hotcakes.
I really appreciate that you add subtitles when it is difficult to hear the audio. The extra work makes a big difference. Thank you.
We all know that your helper knows his stuff no doubt about it it's really in him, I just hope he never loses his humidity
Sean is a tremendous asset; calm, unflappable and capable! Grandma Lolly may not like cats, but he sure likes her!
Sean never complains about anything he jumps in and gets it done.
Props for using a crescent wrench! In all the years my dad was a service manager and even in retired life, he had multiple size crescent wrenches in his toolbox, and of course no power ratchets or anything. I love the channel and the whole family. Many Blessings!
Tip of the Day: Don't buy both S.A.E. and Metric adjustable wrench sets. For most applications, they'll interchange. True story.
Dinner and a show. What more could anyone ask for? Thanks to All of you for a fun, informative video, and also for the country ride too ;).
Great job. Might want to weld that upper track bar brace to the frame rail and use a brace connecting both frame rail. You'll start getting flex over time. Love my XJ. 😊
PPE GUYS. PLEASE
I'm a simple man, I see an XJ, I automatically like the video. Also another good upgrade is the rear disc conversion on those. You can rob parts from a Jeep Liberty's rear axle for that job.
It's coming along nicely so far my friends. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friends. Fab On. Weld On. Keep Making. God bless.
I can't believe how tiny those stock front rotors were! I've seen bigger rotors on a go-cart! That is a must have upgrade! Good job!
Gotta remember the xj was designed in 1984. They had 120 horsepower and 27 inch tires. They grew greatly in the 90s and the brakes never caught up. Then add massive tires it's rough. The WJ fixed a bunch of the 90s jeeps short comings.

Hi Michelle, it’s good to see you in a video again it would be nice to see you in more videos
Personally I like that "Fish Mouth" front. Gives it personality. Nice job on the up-grade for the breaks and other stuff.
Whatever it takes to get the job done. Be it mechanical, body fabrication, be Johnny on the spots for other's. When the need arises. You are truly well rounded caring individuals. Each one of serves the channel perfectly. Bless you all 🙏

Gooooood morning everybody and thumbs UP to Fab Rats! Get it done! 👍
On the WJ knuckle swap, the XJ/WJ upper ball joints are the same part number, but on the lowers you should use WJ ball joints because the taper is different.
Good work by Lando and the green hammer! Of course the rest of the crew too
I bought one of those green 40 oz Snap On hammers so I could be as cool as you, Paul, however I still like the feel of my wooden-handled hammers better.
Awesome. I would replaced that inner c before welding reinforcement on it.
Everyday getting to watch Fab Rats is an excellent day.
I love XJ's. The first vehicle i bought was a white 92 xj sport. I gave myself and dozens of other people stories that they probably tell people to this day. I had 3 XJ's in total. 'We didn't even ruin anything' my motto on many a job!
Love the channel guys ! Ive watched every episode and learn something new with you guys every episode! Just my 2 cents You guys should cut an access door in the tool box so when things drop down you can just open the back up . Cheers guys keep the content rolling in .
Another great day in the shop and a bit of scenery, what more could you ask for?😊
I would have liked to see a forklift flex test, before and after the install to see the improvement!
Look. I been watching this channel for years. Way before the golden nugget. I showed this channel to my Mom. She's like yeah. Her Dad always tore down the engines and set the parts aside for the winter. Reassembled in the spring. She loved this crap. Doesn't fit. Cut. Weld. Lubricate.

Paul when the adjustable wrench fits and it works that means it's the right wrench
Fab from scratch is fun to watch, but a kit install like this is what most people will do and it helps to see how these go in. 9:01 Who doesn't like queso fundido?! Melted cheese makes everything delicious!
Love your sat. morning videos , you’re informative and
humorous time together. Also this is for Gary to
keep him safe on the road
Uhhmm, I think its Friday, at least where we are.
Michelle, I took your advice and ordered up some Factor Meals. Since I'm a fat-ass I chose the low-carb (keto) meals and I love them! Leaving a comment to assist with algorithm. You guys are so cool, man. Love watching this channel and your family is beautiful Paul.

Adjustable wrench ,In Australia the nickname is knuckle buster
Owned 2 XJ's, super little 4x4's. Put a locker in the rear, 2 inch lift and those things will go everywhere.
Great job. Paul, Sean and Landon filming. Project made easier with a lift. Great kit. 🤙😎
Im installing these exact same upgrades on a project XJ for my daughter! Such a great kit, and GREAT people at CORE4x4!!!
Gary is happy, that is the important part. I personally would have gone to a JK Dana 44.
I thought using a crescent wrench when you have a shop full of tools was a Utah thing. You, Matt, Robbie all do it. Rory does not seem to but then he's monowrenchic.
Interesting upgrades to the Jeep. Looks to be pretty straight forwards and brake improvement would be welcome.
Fixin the old XJ, nice!! WJ brakes is a great idea!!
Yes love XJ videos! He’s going to need Barnes frame stiffeners welded in next to keep the unibody from cracking! I fixed a few for others!
I have Core 4x4’s radius arm kit on my XJ and drilling out the frame rails for those big bolts was the hardest part. Especially since the previous owner put some kind of crap almost like concrete inside the frame as a reinforcement.
I must have gotten one of their earlier designs because both bolts went all the way through the frame.
How can anybody not like Socks he is such a sweet little kitten 🥰🥰
Paul & Michelle, you guys live in the coolest land, in the U.S. I’ve been in your area before. I love watching your videos to see all the terrain & Mountains. From your friend in Canada
I wouldn’t cut a unibody without a frame stiffener installed but Paul is a genius and I trust his judgment
rear disc brakes are the best upgrade to do on a jeep like that. i swapped a grand cherokee rear disc brake axle into my yj on 35's and could no believe the braking improvment
Nice job on that and another happy customer. Thanks for the video.
Great job Paul you all are the best love your videos.
You guys are going to get hammered by the safety police. LOL
Always.... The only reason to read comments.
That will have to get in line
When I did this conversion years ago, I had to get WJ rotors drilled to 5x4.5. I guess there is a rotor that's come out since that is bolt on.
Big XJ fan, sweet to see you building one up
Looks like you'll be doing rock sliders on this rig sometime too.
Nice intro Gramma Lolly! I've been cat scanned! ahahahahahahah Love our Fab Rats!!
Thanks guys for sharing your time and life with us all, thank you. Gerald Ingram, NZ.
Good job Landon ! Nice 👍 cut rate seems a bit too fast this week though. Jump cuts are ok at a slow pace.
Amazing... with the amount of 'overhead' work (especially the cutting and grinding) you do, y'all are the masters of 'the safety squint'. ...that or you edit out the "Hold on. Got something in my eye" moments. 🤷🏻♂️
They have a four stall eyewash station out back🎉
Happy Friday! XJ’s are my favorite Jeep. 🍻🤙🏻
Just fun to watch you guys, good times, thanks !!
Nice . Everything came together as it was supposed to. Great job :-)
That old video of you putting the hoop on the jeep was the first vid of yours I ever watched!
Hey Paul, Mitchell is looking good, we should see more of her.
And so you know Paul I enjoy watching you Matt and Robbie and Roy and I learned a whole lot from all of y'all I definitely appreciate it
Harsh words about your work? Never accept criticism from someone that you wouldn't take advice from. So in the Fab Rat spirit I cut the copper pipe out of the original and drilled out the new boot and pressed in the brass line. Small Simple Steps baby!
Thanks for the food offer. But I find it relaxing to cook the cheuage and watching you guys. Love your shows.
Use the adjustable wrench as a micrometer, get it to fit and then match it to a wrench.
10:20 thru 11:06 I bet the Core company you received the kit from were laughing their rears off that Paul, "Paul'd it"!
I so see myself in that same situation often! Good humor keeps the frustration levels down.
Awsome spending time with grandma in the Fabrats store

Mini rock crawler build for the kids would make a good video
The 4 bolts on four link bracket to frame are to hold it while you weld it. I’d nvr relying on them 4 bolts. Lol
👍
Good job Paul
Thank You for
Another Great
Video !
What about the
Off Road Rollback ?
Heck yeah Xj.
People who buy like to hate on people that can build!
I already have all of the Gusets for my High Pinon Dana 30 for the Grief Maker.
With everyone working at different intervals you got it all done! Good job/
Paul you guys are the best at what you do. I am looking forward to the 24 hour to hell and back videos
If I had that tool box with the holes I would use some really short screws and screw a piece of sheet metal over the holes.
I love how everything fit together so perfectly with only minimal hammer hits.
Can’t wait to see the final dome light installation. 😂
Cats always know who isn't a "cat person" and think it's their job to try to convert them!
was hoping for a bit of a how to on the break swap. The big jump in filming kinda nixed that opportunity.
At least he's honest
At 7:40, I've watched a guy stitching a cast iron press frame crack, and he had a jig made up to add leverage, so he could easily push on the back of his drill. It wasn't a Harbor freight cordless one though 😎
That original video was why i subscribed! It helped me out making my bumpers!
Looks like a really well supplied kit!
Thanks for sharing 🇨🇦
Nice upgrade for the Jeep Cherokee! Til next time, take care, and we'll see you on the next...
Happy Friday Fab Rats!
Another upgrade in the books ! Thanks for sharing !
The WJ knuckle swap is the BEST mod that I've done to my XJ. I also have KJ rear calipers on a 78 SJ D44 which was NOT an easy accomplishment. Ahhhh. The cute very sharp new cat has glued itself to grandma. So typical.
Am I the only one that puts grease on all the threads or anti-seize?
But I just wanna say superb camera work
🇺🇸💪🏼
