Whoever was running the drone for this recovery was making some epic moves and showing how beautiful the area is. Kudos!
Absolutely, Rhett or Colby on the drone, great imagination and skills, lovely to watch!
One of the many reasons I love the channel is the amazing scenery.
@@paulhall170 Rhett was driving, so my money is on Colby.
Colby for sure he was rocking the camera. And riding shotgun, everyone else was in fact driving. Maybe Katelynn since she was with Rhett in the banana.
ohhhh YEAH! Super video from above!
Katelynn did a good job modulating the brakes on that Jeep so the wrecker boom didn't smash into the roof and back window of the Jeep. It was close a few times and it had me holding my breath, but she got it done! She's a great addition to the MOOR team!
Agreed. I still think they need some kind of strut they can use to keep the recovered vehicles from hitting the boom.
Mechanic shop probably going to say what the heck did you do to your front breakpads! 😂 Agreed she did a great job.
they have got the technique nailed after several of these backward tows. Matt's instructions are perfect
Doesn't hurt that the girl has ice flowing through her veins. She doesn't look the least bit distracted by fear.
She’s going to be a great addition to the team. My girlfriend learned how to ride motocross last year and now is giving all of us boys a schooling on technique because here’s is perfect girls pick up things quickly and for some reason remember the fundamentals no matter the situation
I really liked to see Rhett and Katelyn as a the young team. Awesome to see really competent young people working these jobs. Great job to all the MORR team!
I think they make a cute couple.
Being apprenticed to Matt and Tom that young, the next generation is going to be unstoppable.
@@drew1381 pretty sure they are family
Now THAT is what I call an off-road recovery! That was amazing! Great teamwork. Very impressed by Katelynn's knowledge of the trails and offroading.
Congratulations Rhett for getting your braces off! Looking good 💯
The whole MORR crew growing up right before our eyes :)
Now they won't get tangled with Kaitlyns braces😂

Toms beard shaved looking all fresh faced. And with Katelynn playing a big role in this recovery, it looks like you've got a fresh new MORR crew.
😎👍
Weird.

groomed? pretty creepy dude. maybe touch some grass.
The two kids (Rhett and Katelynn) sure have become valuable members of the team. Either one of them can out-wheel most adults, and they're both very comfortable and natural on camera. Matt has indeed assembled a fine team. 👍
Being apprenticed to Matt and Tom that young, the next generation is going to be unstoppable.
They are lucky to have people like Matt and Jamie and TomTom and the Morr crew
One of these days, Rhett is going to be Matt's boss - lol. Good to see Kaitlyn knows the area, she'll be a good fit. Most importantly, I wish Dig Dug had a camera facing Tom when that rear wheel went up in the air so high. 😂
He saw his life flash before his eyes! Lol that looked pretty close to flipping in camera
Katelynn 😇
A TH-cam car project that actually works? That is also an off road wrecker?? MORR crew is definitely on another level. Huge respect for you guys.
Wait until the Wrecker Games, they are fun to watch.
The wrecker is getting worse with that annoying creaking and squeaking
@@joseywilds3133 Yeah. Also it's already starting to rust badly. They should have painted it after building it.
I think it's called "Patina'. Trailmater's wrecker just gets better with age 😊
I think calling the wrecker a "car" is a bit of an understatement 😂
Katelynn has good knowledge of some rated areas. Valuable info. I hope the public appreciates how lucky they are to have a resource like MORR. Great work.
Katelyn has so much more experience but is so quiet about it. Like how she’s fitting in.
Katelynn 😇
Humility is refreshing.
Her saying that obstacle was why the trail was a 7 made me laugh. She is the professional here even if matt has more experience 😂
Is that the first time we have seen the Heavy Wrecker on the road with a plate? Katelynn did an awesome job in that jeep!
Happy Veteran' s Day Everyone and Thank You all for your Service!

Katelynn is settling in really well. It's nice to see these hard working and enthusiastic young ladies on TH-cam.

Rhett is a great and instinctive driver and spotter. He's so right that Katelynn's driving position looked scary. Good work everyone.
Great Recovery by Matt and the Morr crew. Tom Tom and Rhett did some great spotting. Katelynn did a great job with the Jeep. The video aerial shot was the Bomb. 🤙😎
Great job Katelynn that was tough! I’m so glad they added you to the crew.
The trail, the editing and Katelynn’s expertise all made this job extra fun to watch.
The team work is a huge credit to you guys. Literally putting your lives in each others hands. So good to watch!
The sincerity and genuineness of the people you have surrounded yourself with is pretty cool!
Katelynn is killing it as a driver for you folks. super cool to see her contributing like this.
That wrecker is an awesome piece of gear! Unstoppable!
I love this crew! Rhett and Katelyn along with everyone else make for a great team. I wasn’t sure where this was going to go after so many personnel changes, but I love this team.
The last three seconds of this video when Matt realizes he’s the only game in town for a professional recovery like this! It’s was awesome seeing Katelynn out on recoveries..she’s so much more at home on the rocks while still pretty intimidated in the shop, but she’ll get it. My man Rhett braceless , got to love getting rid of those barn things.
It's great that they can support this with the TH-cam videos and the app subscriptions. Otherwise, recovery from some of these situations would be hideously expensive for the person who breaks down on the trail.
The usual choice is to get a bunch of wheeling enthusiasts together to slowly work the victim out of the jam, but that can take days and often involves collateral damage. With Matt (and Paul and Rory in there respective territories) and others like him, there's a way to get out a lot quicker, and we get to watch.
@jonjohnson3027 I'd be willing to bet most of these people's insurance paid for it
@@kushkiller7108 standard auto insurance often excludes off-road driving. If they have an off-road rider 8t probably would cover them but I'd bet many of these people we see recovered don't have that.
@@kushkiller7108 some of those vehicles were rentals ! I wonder if the Rental companies has insurance for off road or away that the renters could get insurance coverage to do off road !
@kushkiller7108
You would lose the bet. insurance does Not pay for off-road
That close to towed vehicle with the wrecker boom made this video more of a *tense viewing time.* Thanks for recording. The video coverage is extra good.
A ''stiff arm'' kind of tow bar on the bottom for deals like that wouldn't made it considerably easier to keep the vehicle being towed out of harms way.....but that has issues of it's own so, you do what you can with what ya got!
After feeling the tension of the Jeep almost crashing into the boom more than once, I am going to share an old mechanics trick I know about when flat towing vehicles with little to no brakes. Some old mechanics would run their tow chains through a piece of sturdy pipe, which was then connected to the tow vehicle and to the disabled vehicle. The chain would droop normally without load. Once the chain was tensioned, the pipe would just hang in the middle. When the tow vehicle slowed down, the disabled vehicle would push the chain up and over the pipe but the edges would stop it, thus preventing the disabled vehicle from crashing into the tow vehicle. I could probably explain it with a drawing better if you are interested.
The yellow Jeep is nice. All store-bought stuff but tasteful and clean.
On the farm when we towed vehicles behind, we had a telescoping hitch with a spring inside of it. Still allowed movement but limited its range. Was called a tow bar. Round pipe of two sizes for the telescoping part through the middle where you pulled from.
This sounds like a much better plan than dragging the brakes the whole way and just hoping it doesn't smash something.
Matt is still working out the bugs on the wrecker ! If you have seen other videos he talks about that ! He has admitted that there is still more upgrades that it needs !
Katlyn is finally earning some cred. Colby did a little spotting on this one and he was sharp. TT did a fine job spotting himself but I had fears that he would need rescuing in the DigDog. But for once the Dog got TT up and out.
Love it when Matt's plan comes together.
The customer looked a little shocked by the back pull out of the whole. Even more shocked about Katlyn driving his rig backwards.
That was a big real rescue.
Its dig Doug. Yeah even worse than you said
Katelynn 😇
@@quicksilver8180 DigDug isn't it? Like the video game? That's what I always think of but I am of a certain age...
Katlyn has more rock crawling cred than the rest of the MORR team combined. She's an actual competitive rock crawler, and a champion one at that. "cred", lol. I'm glad she finally earned your appreciation, I'm sure she was hanging on your opinion specifically. We can all sleep safe now.

With a grunt and a roar, Doug Do drives into town,
Four wheels spinning, it's a beast of renown,
This 4x4 machine, it's tough and it's strong,
Built for off-roading, all day and all night long.
The engine's a powerhouse, with horsepower to spare,
And the tires are massive, ready to take on any terrain,
From mud to sand, from rocks to snow,
This truck will push through, no matter where we go.
Inside, it's no frills, but comfort is key,
With seat belts and airbags to keep us all free,
From harm and from danger, as we venture forth,
In this ultimate, unstoppable force.
So let's buckle up and head out on the trail,
With Doug Do leading the way, we cannot fail,
For this 4x4 truck is the ultimate chariot,
Taking us places we never knew even existed.
That wrecker is so awesome. But how has Tom not made you put grease fittings on all those joints yet?!

Katelynn did an Awesome job, Lizzy would've been proud. You can tell she's comfortable out wheeling & she's also getting more relaxed on camera.... great addition to the team.
Jake and Colby really got a lot of leg day and cardio on this recovery. Way to go!
If they would just use the legs to take a hike.
The point was that he DID use his legs for a hell of a hike. Including jogging alongside the vehicles over very rough terrain. Can you do what he did?
@@dustymojave ever hear the expression "take a hike" it was sarcasm!
Katelynn is a really great driver 👍
Beautiful drone footage on this one guys. Always good, but this one really shows the landscape
What a great recovery. And the scenery is just stunning.
I think dig dug should be the next shop build. You guys use it it enough and it would be so cool to see it get built. Great video and keep up the awesome work.
That wrecker never ceases to amaze me. What a beast!
Without a sling it is just a crane, not a wrecker. Not sure why it doesn't have one.
Great rescue, a couple of things stood out for me, the 1st one is if Dig Dug is gonna be used on recoveries, let's get it in the shop & equip it, it needs a front axel and some love. The 2nd thing I really enjoyed seeing was how good Rhett has been getting and on the way back out, he knew when to send the Banana up that ledge, and didn't even give it a second though. I also appreciated how " the whole team was spotting, Even Cody ! when the tow line was getting short on the winch, great job shouting dude !. It's not easy making things look easy , Kaitlyn was rock steady taking care of the customer's Jeep. Just a great example of why we love you guys ! ❤🚙 edited -names ;)
I really wanna see you guys do more with dig dug! It deserves some more screen time, the truck is awesome!
Great recovery guys.....everyone did their part well....great cam shots.....I miss Lizzy !!😢
Katelynn driving backwards for the win.👍
Blindfolded on the next run.
Great video. Loved the drone shots. Was that Colby or Jake at the controls? Katelynn continues to shine, Rhett is getting more competent by the day, Tom Tom seems like the nicest guy, and Matt is a great leader and overall great guy. A new MORR video is one of the highlights of my mornings. Thanks MORR!
Well expressed, my thoughts as well.
Rhett and Katelyn on these jobs makes me happy, the business is in safe hands in the future! love this
Being apprenticed to Matt and Tom that young, the next generation is going to be unstoppable.
That wrecker sure is a squeeky creeky SOB. But it's AWESOME 😄👍
KUDOS to Katelyn for taking the risky position. ✌✊
I think a couple of adjustable length bars with semi soft attachments on one end and on the other end, solid rings for the pintle hooks on the back of the wrecker. It could work to keep the tow vehicle at a more consistent distance from the wrecker while allowing the freedom to move around and not bind up.
What a great team Matt.
Katelynn, you did amazing regulating the brakes and keeping that top from getting damaged.
Again, well done team
You should have a push bar connecting the cars. No need to worry going downhill. You could also make it from a big shock absorber to make it less jerky.
Hi MORR Team, I recommend that you add a tire (no wheel) while pulling with the wrecker. You should route the winch cables that come out of the boom/arm through a 15” tire. The tire will work as a bumper. This my dad’s and uncle’s old pulling trick. Thanks for sharing and best of luck🤞
Totally impressive recovery, looked like routine. Favorite moment was Rhett giving it the perfect gas to get up that ledge, and that dad gum ol' dig dug got er done, too.
Absolutely another text book rescue by the MORR crew. Way to go guys and gals.
Great recovery!! That was a tricky trail for a backwards tow. You and the crew did a fine job!!!
Katelynn and Rhett worked really well as a team. Man, Tom Tom, great driving in your Dig Dug. And Matt, you cheated, you got to drive the Worlds Largest Off Road Wrecker. This video was really great, including the drone footage.
Awesome job you all and Katelynn your a real trooper now you can say you have done plan B backwards and backwards . And I can see Dig Dug becoming the next famous off road recovery Square body as it gets improvements .
When you do it backwards you dont need plan b… 😂
@@cakearmy_maxgaming6346 That is the Name of that trail Plan B !
👍🏽🇺🇸👍🏽 Rhett is doing awesome. His on camera presence is getting so much better.. looks very comfortable now.. hats 🎩 off buddy
Katelynn - you are a star and a natural on the recoveries!!
You must be an old soul, with how calm and confident you are when doing your thing :)
Invite Larson Farms to the off-road games! They’re a yankum sponsored channel as well! I think they’d have a blast at the games.
I know you like to do the most with the least, but a couple of out-riggers to keep a towed vehicle from bumping into the boom would make life a bunch easier. Heck, build them with springs and shocks to make it interesting!
For these instances have you ever thought about making a bar that you can use in your pintle hitch to the vehicle receiver that would help with the issue of the vehicle slamming into the boom?
Great video all throughout. Am i the only one that things that Rhett and Katelynn could make a great couple. With both of their skill sets combined they could be unstoppable in the off road world!!
Great video! Great teamwork! Always good seeing the MORR crew!
Matt, get yourself a appropriate length of pipe or tubing and either attack a chain on each end or thread your chain threw the pipe then attach at each end to where the pipe hangs just low enough on your towed vehicle to stop it from catching up to the wrecker as you tow. Finish the ends of the pipe/chain as you think fit.
I'm shocked how many of these recoveries they do without attending to this glaring concern
Need to carry a gallon of transmission fluid on the WLOR Wrecker. Nickname "Squeaky." A tough recovery but it really went well. You got 'em out!
Continuously impressive!! Very nice. The patience and care taken was inspiring.
Great recovery from the MORR Crew. I would say its time dig dug received some much needed love ASAP. I think Tom should paint it an obnoxious bright Red😊😊. It would go perfect with the bright yellow vehicles.
It was stressful just watching this - I can’t imagine actually doing it! Huge respect to you and your crew.
Another great job in this beautiful landscape! Greetings from Germany!
Kaitlin's doing a really good job of being a down to earth TH-cam personality.
It took me a few episodes, but her driving experience, bright questions, and in this case great answers, because she knows the trails and the obstacles. That and her competition background, what everyone likes about her; she's totally fearless behind the wheel!
Great job everybody on this rescue. MORR team for the win!!!!!
Matt why don't you design a bar that attaches to the rear bumper and straps to the axle of the vehicle that is being towed. this bar would maintain the distance between the towed car and the wrecker. no worries that the towed car might swing into the boom or the wrecker bumper. Just a suggestion.
Folks would probably line up to buy one of those too.
Nice job MORR crew! Katelynn seems to be fitting right in! No doubt her wheeling skills and knowledge of Sand Hollow trails are a huge asset for the recovery team!
I like the drone shots a lot! That's a beautiful landscape to travel in. Dear EDITORS, please let us really soak up the beauty for several seconds before you jump cut to something else.
The 11% improvement in video editing has not gone unnoticed.
Tom looks like a new man.
That was a "good old days" recovery right there. Enjoyed it!
Wow, this was a very nicely put together video from the different angles, to the background scenery to the colors of the sky and the truck and the beautiful background colors . Very professional angles with the cameras and cinematography and editing for sure. a picturesque views and landscape. Your material has improved significantly from the days when you used your phone to record with one hand and drive with the other hand while figuring out what the recovery was doing all at the same time. Well done guys, great team working together to produce great videos. No wonder this video already has 306K views in 11 hours since being posted!
You should get a couple piece's of schedule 80 PVC plumbing pipe to put over your X towing straps with just the loops sticking out, that way it would be semi rigid and keep the tow from smashing into the wrecker. But would be flexible enough to allow the Jeep to flex around over the rough terrain. I'm sure that would save you a lot of head aches.
Katelynn, a lot of firsts with the MORR crew. Enjoy the journey! That was a close one for Dig Dug 😮🫣
Wow! I have never been anywhere near the canyons and rocks you guts drive over. But I can tell you I'm extremely impressed by the heavy wreckers climbing abilities. Especially dragging a broken rig behind it.
Tom, it is hard to remember to just roll through when your brain is telling you "oh no were gonna roll!".
This one wound up being so far off the beaten path, Matt was even asking for directions!
One thing i like about when Dig dug comes with is we can see what a more "normal" vehicle does on the trail comparatively to the heavily modified wrecker and and pretty dang modified Banana.
It is great to see adults patient enough to teach and younger people willing to learn practical (and occasionally ingenious) solutions for such varied situations. Watching Matt plan for what most people wouldn't expect (that roof getting bashed by the boom on every decline) is the sign of a man that has made mistakes, but learned from them. Also, that big F'ing wrecker is an absolute iconic beast.
Love the channel and the vehicles. I think you made this recovery harder than it had to be. That was a Jeep LJ, they all came with a Dana 44 rear axle which is not a c clip axle. The brakes were not keeping anything in the retainer plate was. You could have done a flat tow at low speed.
I was hoping somebody else mentioned this. I don't know if there's ever been a D44 that was c-clip.
I figured someone would bring this up. Owner confused the Dana 35 in a TJ with the 44. Guess either way they made it out.
I came here to say this exact thing
@@jeepxj1988the dana44a aka Dana 44 HD that came in zjs and wjs is a c clip 44. That's the only one I'm aware of
