If this was a tournament or something however, then things would average out more and it would be very unlikely to win the tournament as Eric would be very unlikely to make these seem mistakes more than once.

There are notches on the keyboard that tell you where specific keys are. This allows you to take your hands away and still be able to find your typing position without looking.
I had a lichess bug today where I suddenly couldn't see the black knights, no matter which side I played. It was in some 1 minute games and I got very confused and lost them all xD

Imagine a game if everyone who voted for the move that didnt win got removed from the poll. So then youd be having chat get more and more refined in their moves until everyone is like in synch
Majority at the earlier moves are rarely the superior players, instead it's the majority later on in a competent chat group who are probably more refined. Endgames are more concrete on what's right to do, earlygames are an artform where risky openings and responses are made by geniuses at times.
