Apparently squirrels can fall from any height and survive because they can control where they land and they weigh so little their terminal velocity is low enough to negate

28:30 - You don't need 7 moves, it can be done with 6
    Nc3, Nd5, Ne7, Nd5, f3, g4
    Black mates Qh4
I enjoy your videos, you are even pulling me back into chess after 10+ years. xD

I think I found an alternative solution to your puzzle:
    1. f4
    2. g4
    3. Nf3
    4. Nd4
    5. Nf5
    6. Ne7
    7. Nc3
At this point, white has set themselves up for the 2-move checkmate and removed the pawn that black would need to move to get the queen out, and Qh4 is checkmate.

Eric, I loved your little story about squirrel living in your neighbourhood. Funny how tough they are. Little squirrels. Can fall more than 30ft still being completely fine. Squirrels are cute, and awesome. Eric, stay awesome, I love your enthusiasm.

Very entertaining. Haven't seen that Scandinavian trap before. And it beat Bartholomew no less. Looking forward to more of your blitz encounters. BTW, you still win the queen on Kf6 - 9. Bb2+ e5 10. Bxe5+ when either Ke6 or Ke7 result in mate or loss of the black queen after Nc7.

I recently came back to chess and I'm currently suuuuper bad at it (like around 1000-1100 on lichess, playing blitz at 3am super tired), but I love watching this kind of videos and feel like I'm learning something. Used to be much better, I hope I'll get back my old level, and some more.

36:24 "rely on instincts" doesn't Bc7 win an exchange at the least?
Or am I missing a move

    • @alangarciaperez2650
      @alangarciaperez2650 5 ปีที่แล้ว

He would just take the pawn on b2, and if you capture on e5, he would eat on c2, checking, and after you move you king he would take your bishop on e5, or if you ate with knight, he would skip this last move and just take knight on c3. So black would be 2 pawns up. Im just 1600, so I dont know if there might be a way to play better in that position
