Thomas , why are you paying your Student Loan???❓❓
They will always send “ threatening letters” LoL
    We ignore them for years
We lived in 5 different countries so far and UK tax man/ student loan etc don’t have a clue where we are!! Its simple thing; if you don’t earn certain £ in the UK , you don’t have to pay student loan back . Simple!

I pay it from a moral stance. My parents and I weren't sure of the consequences of not paying. While I'm sure I could get away with not paying it. No one really knows how it will impact future credit ratings etc. as there are too
many rumours to understand the truth.

@@ThomasBlakemore oh noooo ... you shouldn’t pay anything ... this is from Gov site” :
Student loans are different from other types of borrowing because they do not appear on your credit file and your credit rating is not affected. However, if you apply for a mortgage, lenders may consider if you have a student loan when deciding how much you can borrow” ... we will never pay my husbands students loan LoL
I’m not so moral ( talking about loan lol) Governments are as-holes so no chance...
thats why we are working abroad, to save money for property and don’t care for credit score lol ...

Fun Fact: Sunday and Saturdays are holidays in most countries in the world because Sunday is the day of Sabbath in Christianity and Saturday in Judaism. non-christian countries that were ruled by the british or french etc in past also have those days as holidays because it doesn't make sense for them to change it as they don't have any religious days. Muslim countries have Friday prayers so usually have fridays and saturdays as weekends

Thomas Im just wondering ; did school did not provide you with the accommodation? My husband and I are moving to Dubai this August but we are going straight to the accommodation that school provide for my husband. We will need to pay the bills which sucks but accommodation will be provided.

I agree with most except point 12.
UAE is very hospitable and friendly. You can go anywhere alone and leave having made new friends.
