    • @VikkiReed
      @VikkiReed  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Lin! I've done several videos on that and more in the works...I can't solve the "stack of gorgeous gelli prints" problem, but I can certainly make a dent in it..."How to Use Gelli Print Papers for Collage Projects" th-cam.com/video/bkJv-4zrexM/w-d-xo.html and "Using Your Gelli Prints in a Mixed Media Bird Collage" th-cam.com/video/2X-Dgrld29E/w-d-xo.html and there are more, but that should get you started! I routinely use my gelli prints in my paintings, both as a foundation to get started and as finishing touches. The possibilities are unlimited! Thanks for watching and commenting!

    Do the unbrayered blobs of color 5:08 bother you? I take a minute to mix my paint with a skewer (blunt end) to avoid ending up with blobs on my prints.

    • @VikkiReed
      @VikkiReed  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Lynn, thanks for that tip! The blobs don't bother me, but now I know how to avoid them just in case!

  • @judyconstantino7035
    @judyconstantino7035 ปีที่แล้ว

    Awesome card! Can’t wait to try this! Did you use a hole punch to cut out the circles for the balls on the tree?

    • @VikkiReed
      @VikkiReed  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks so much, Judy! I just cut the balls out with scissors. It was easy because I used the "Bubble Blast" stencil from Joggles (one of my faves!), and so the circles were already defined. You could use a hole punch if it made really BIG circles!

    • @judyconstantino7035
      @judyconstantino7035 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@VikkiReed I think I’ll use some circle dies. I have a variety of sizes. Even though I’m pretty good at fussy-cutting, circles can be a challenge for me.🥴

    • @VikkiReed
      @VikkiReed  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@judyconstantino7035 Sounds brilliant to use the circle dies, find ways to make it the easiest and most fun, that way you'll enjoy the creative process even more!

    So beautiful! Im gonna try to make one. Can you mask off part of your plate to make it like a smaller version?

    • @VikkiReed
      @VikkiReed  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Amy, yes, of course! Just place strips of paper over the part of your plate you want to keep clear, or plan to trim it down.

    • @AmyReagan7593
      @AmyReagan7593 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@VikkiReed Thank you! Yeah, right now I only have a 8x10 gel plate.

    • @VikkiReed
      @VikkiReed  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@AmyReagan7593 I get it! I just watched a video from an artist who placed a tag under the plate to help her place her item she wanted to print, and then just apply paint in that area, that's a great idea!

    • @AmyReagan7593

    • @VikkiReed
      @VikkiReed  ปีที่แล้ว

      Donna, YES! I apologize for that...I have someone that helps me with my videos and the other "bits" didn't make the cut. I actually found wood cut ornaments that were perfect for pressing on the Gelli Plate to make imprints. Maybe it will evolve differently next holiday season. Thank you so much for watching and commenting!
