It's a fantastic system created by Neanka and the F4SE Team! Give them all of your love because with this, spectacular things are going to come to fruition!
While I love the old system I do have to admit, some skills felt quite bland compared to others. Hopefully they found a way to make them feel more worth while.
mexican parfait fallout 76 is the worst game bethesda ever made for me fallout 4 is really good not gonna lie yes you need mod to make the game fun and awesome but it still good fallout nv is really good without mods hey even fallout 3 is good too withoud modding
Bethesda might as well just let the modding community make the next Fallout experience . Edit: After Fallout the Frontier, this comment has aged poorly.
Now that's a better system With the vanilla it was very hard to not fall back into preferred play styles. This mod will stop that simply by blocking out perks unless you target them. A much better option and what vanilla should have been.
agree, if I want to craft weapon mods now just spent of skills instead of spent on attributes which make my character overpowered for example; SPEECH skills. if I want local leader without maxing out Charisma level 4, yeah I can do that! spent on skills instead on attributes is much more manageable>o
This mod should help making say an espionage build easier, focus on explosives (mines and grenades) and stealth. With weapons being limited to shotguns, pistols and maybe rocket launchers. Other wise stealth is just silenced ranged weapons or dash melee which is op AF
remember fallout 4 and skyrim were made to be shallow and not rpg heavy to attract a wild audience. they totally could have done this, but chose not to, an action that on paper seems to lend to more content and freedom, but at the cost of replayability and unique builds. it's a shame cause not being able to do everything and get every perk makes you really think. I tested this by playing a couple games of new vegas with 2, 3, and 5 perks per level. by level 7 or 10 I was over powered cause I could just take all the perks for say a shotgun build by that point and have intense training and other Stat perks. making due with less makes you innovate and improvise, leading to things you might not try if you had everything available to you.
I cant believe bethesda did this to us. I understand going different directions when making new video games but fallout 4 got rid of so many things that us fans loved in new vegas. still fallout 4 with mods is extremely fun
I dont like how the main story does not have a lot of options. For example in new vegas i could play the game by killing each and every single person in the game except for yes man who was there as a way to end the game if u wanted to kill everything. OR i could be the diplomat that does not resort to violence that resolves everything with peaceful solutions. One of the things i liked in fo4 was the settlement system but that too because of the Sim Settlements mod which takes your settlements to the next level making them rival diamond city. Going off topic but i would absolutely love if bethesda would give obsidian another chance, i dont care if obsidian doesnt have a big staff or if they might take a lot of time since we arent really getting a new fallout game in a long time although i hope im wrong
Funny thing is, a lot of these problems do stem from all the way back in Fallout 3. The problem is when Obsidian took the Fallout 3 baseline and twisted it into a beloved classic, Bethesda didn't learn anything from it, but got ANGRY that someone showed them up. It really does feel like Fallout 4 did everything different in order to SPITE the fans of New Vegas and the direction it was trying to pull things back towards.
I like this commentary better. You sound at ease and natural. You sound human. The other version, well you sound like a damned Synth Juice. Alot of us here don't take kindly to synths. Just a tip.
An interesting bit to consider is with the base framework...you're actually leveling up faster. Now instead of "should I boost Gun Nut or Gunslinger?" you can boost both of them at the same level.
*todd howard hits the blunt at bethesda hq* -What if we just won't do anything and let the modding community make a new fallout game all by themselves?
Thanks for this, I kept hearing about this mod but sort of forgot it was its own entity, as i know it's being used in F04 NV. Also, have to say, i really like the live commentary style of video. Your thoughts maybe a little more jumbled, but you just sound so much more natural, rather than reading from a script, or edited chunks that are spliced together and sometimes feel awkward, or even repetitive. Keep up the good work.
This is freaking amazing! Something I definitely felt was missing from the base game. I was actually very disappointed when I first played the game and it was missing.
This is my definitive way to play Fallout 4. It changes the game to legit feel like an RPG, I installed a level cap at 50 as well, and it feels like my level up choices severly matter, especially in the early game. Love this mod, and the people who amde it are amazing at what they do!
I remember thinking for the first couple months of playing Fallout 4 that you had to level up a perk to unlock the next in the tree further down. It's a very poorly designed and cluttered menu and this should really help.
Yeah it really limits certain perks too much. If I want to create a character obsessed with robots, I’m going to have to wait a long while to get all the perks I need.
max kranz explain how needing to get a skill raised in increments of 25 to notice a increase in gameplay is different than investing in 4 levels of a skill? The Old and new system are exactly the same just in a different format.
Big Daddy Creme Cheese A lot of the perks aren't locked behind level requirements, so if you just straight up invest into one skill you could have all of the perk benefits at a low level, as was demonstrated clearly in the video.
Big Daddy Creme Cheese I wouldn't say that. The difference is that fallout 4 determines how high your level while New Vegas determines your skills. Also, fallout 4 wants to turn you into the ultimate badass by making the perks so unbalanced you can easily mow through enemies. It doesn't help that the enemies don't really level up with you. I think it's dumb that you have to rank up specific perks if you wanna cause more damage.
Nega-Venom fair points I just am annoyed by this echo chamber of hate people seem to have with fallout 4 and I think they should of had a level cap until you beat the game I think that would of been better because I had the same problem with skyrim where I did everything besides the main plot and when I did it I just destroyed everything. But I played this game on survival so I didn't encounter the wasteland warrior problem.
Æsir No it's probably not considering skyrim, their last game, had a level cap of 81 after all dlc. The scaling of loot and enemies in fallout 4 is a lot more like skyrim. For example some types of deathclaws and supermutant enemies only appear after like 70+ (not sure the exact levels right now). So putting a level cap of 30 - 35 will cause you to miss out on A LOT of that stuff.
Congratulations, you have encouraged me to download this mod.. hopefully it's not incompatible with pretty much all of my other mods that take advantage of the perk tree, lol.
Wow this is awesome. But I'm curious as to how this wil be implemented. I like to play Fallout 4 with its vanilla levelup and perk system (yeah lol don't hate), but I would love to play F4NV with this modded system. When F4NV ever comes out, will this perk system mod be necessary as a separate download or will it be part of the F4NV package? And imagine that F4NV is out and installed on my pc, will I still be able to go back to regular Fallout 4 and play with the vanilla perk system? Also, what about other mods such as the "grease gun" or "classic super sledge", will these mods also be necessary to download seperate or will they be part of the pack? It's interesting to think about :)
I asked about this yesterday but no one said anything so I guess, I will just ask again. Can you please make a video about your successes on TH-cam and why you wanted to start your channel. Anyway love your content and that message video from a few days ago.
You should do the Benelli M3 shotgun mod if you haven't showcased it yet. It is one of few pump shotgun mods that are on Nexus and it looks, sounds, and handles good, in my personal opinion.
Amazing! Is there any way to make this work without Fallout 4 Script Extender (or port it to Xbox 1?) I know it's kind of unlikely, but I want it so bad );
And not to mention that I had to even go into the game files and fix the fucking game files in order to get the game to even work properly even after the Patch came out
Haven't had anyone problems to get Immersive HUD working? I'm using HUD Framework as required (priority is set correctly to be loaded before Immersive HUD is). Using holotape I'm able to activate it but it doesn't work anything even when trying to change settings. Have already tried a clean installation with no success.
I hope we can alter the level cap for perks and skill points, can we also change the skill cap? Like in Fallout3/NV where there was this one mod that changed the caps from 100 to 255.
Don't download this mod right now there is a major bug with it that cause game to crash everytime you open up the level up menu As in if you download it dont delete thats when it screws up the most
You should really do more live commentary, you seem more relaxed and in some ways more understandable. I than feel In your previous videos you speak at “warp” speed which makes it difficult at least for me to keep up. But as always, great video much appreciated.
I have this mod installed after watching this video and it is truly awesome. I finally have new motivation to play this game (together with some other mods) but i have one question... what skill increases the damage done with automatic weapons? I cant seem to find the right skill for that..
I think I will create a version of my mod, which features this mod! But first I have to finish the version 0.3... :D At the moment I am mostly working on the Quest swfs
None of the perks show up for me at all and I've been trying to fix it for a good 2 hours now and no dice. The discord group is a ghost town too sadly.
I think next time you do a live com you should make a rough script before hand, might help shorten the video a little. Other wise I'm not opposed to you doing live coms
Hey there. If the new type of commentary helps you put of new videos more easily, you can probably stick with it. However, I think you were speaking in your other style where you have short quick bursts of dialogue with pauses in between. That probably works with post-commentary, but if you want to stick with live commentary, try to slow down your speech and smooth out the pauses between speech blurbs. Otherwise super cool mod!
Can't make this mod work for the life of me. Really don't understand what I'm doing wrong; running with the latest f4se/fallout4 versions, enabled loose files, installed with nmm, etc. What's worse, I can't find anyone else whose had and solved this problem. I've gotta be missing something simple, right?
It's a fantastic system created by Neanka and the F4SE Team! Give them all of your love because with this, spectacular things are going to come to fruition!
will this mod be inherently in the fallout 4 nv mod or will it stay as a optional system
While I love the old system I do have to admit, some skills felt quite bland compared to others. Hopefully they found a way to make them feel more worth while.
I'm a console peasant so of course I would ask if this would be able to go up on bethesda.net
i have nothing to do with the project but as someone who has been following it i would guess that it will be required
all hail for you>o
Good. I hated the Fallout 4 perk system.
It was okay. There were things liked about it, but the older version was much better.
Yeah me too
Its a very dumbed down RPG system. Which irritated me.
Devin Aschenbrenner Bethesda was lazy on the rpg system, it makes me wonder did they even try, we don’t even have holsters anymore
mexican parfait fallout 76 is the worst game bethesda ever made for me fallout 4 is really good not gonna lie yes you need mod to make the game fun and awesome but it still good fallout nv is really good without mods hey even fallout 3 is good too withoud modding
Bethesda might as well just let the modding community make the next Fallout experience .
Edit: After Fallout the Frontier, this comment has aged poorly.
WeegeeSlayer that would be amazing.
They kinda are already with all the new land mods for Fallout 4
WeegeeSlayer facts
That'd be cool, letting Bethesda make the baselines for the story, and then letting the community decide the game mechanics
WeegeeSlayer yeh, modders do a better way at making their game anyway.
Now that's a better system
With the vanilla it was very hard to not fall back into preferred play styles.
This mod will stop that simply by blocking out perks unless you target them.
A much better option and what vanilla should have been.

Always wound up going with semi auto rifle playstyle. No matter how hard i wanted to do pistoleer or rambo mode. This mod would help immensely.
This mod should help making say an espionage build easier, focus on explosives (mines and grenades) and stealth.
With weapons being limited to shotguns, pistols and maybe rocket launchers.
Other wise stealth is just silenced ranged weapons or dash melee which is op AF
remember

I cant believe bethesda did this to us. I understand going different directions when making new video games but fallout 4 got rid of so many things that us fans loved in new vegas. still fallout 4 with mods is extremely fun
That's the worst part. They didn't even go to a new direction, they just got rid of the two first letters of RPG...
I dont like how the main story does not have a lot of options. For example in new vegas i could play the game by killing each and every single person in the game except for yes man who was there as a way to end the game if u wanted to kill everything. True. Every word.
couldn't of said it better.

This is highly nostalgic!!!
Even though I was playing Fallout New Vegas earlier!
It isn't nostalgic.
It's called good game design.
I like this commentary better. You sound at ease and natural. You sound human. The other version, well you sound like a damned Synth Juice. Alot of us here don't take kindly to synths. Just a tip.
I think synths are like humans too, so there is nothing to fear about! ;)
@@systoliker6118 you know who says that? a synth.
Wish this was on console, looks great!
Same
Same :((
Same 😭
Fallout 4 modding is saved
This mod is great. Is a shame that the F4 writing is unfixable.
I really hope they bring traits and perks to fallout 5 if fallout 5 ever comes out...
In my opinion it should be 2 fallout games per every 1 elder scrolls
HamMister i think its supposed to come out sometime in 2078
A D That's horrible, it would just make every new Bethesda game cheap reskins like CoD.
Hey man, i like this live commentary, makes it feel as if your in the room showing all the mods
I might actually play Fallout 4 again because of this mod!
Same here
Same
An interesting bit to consider is with the base framework...you're actually leveling up faster. Now instead of "should I boost Gun Nut or Gunslinger?" you can boost both of them at the same level.
This is the mod, with all my other mods, that will make fallout 4 playable again after my first play through 2 years ago
I've been waiting a while for be exceptional to have a ingame menu mod! Thanks for the info
Finally this is the feeling more of the Fallout family tree and it lore friendly 100%
It’s really nice and refreshing to hear you do live commentary, you should try to do it more often!
*todd howard hits the blunt at bethesda hq*
-What if we just won't do anything and let the modding community make a new fallout game all by themselves?
Brilliant.
The best part local leader is unlocked at the start
Anyone know if this is coming to the xbox? I would love these mods?
Thanks for this, I kept hearing about this mod but sort of forgot it was its own entity, as i know it's being used in F04 NV.

Your thoughts maybe a little more jumbled, but you just sound so much more natural, rather than reading from a script, or edited chunks that are spliced together and sometimes feel awkward, or even repetitive. Love modders of Fallout 4. Basicly they are fixing everything that Bethesda fucked up nor didn't apply from previous games. Big thumbs up.
Now we're talking this is fucking amazing, new perks, new skill the moders are making Fallout truly Fallout
This is freaking amazing! Something I definitely felt was missing from the base game. I was actually very disappointed when I first played the game and it was missing.
What's happening to the militarized minutemen mod?
This is my definitive way to play Fallout 4. It changes the game to legit feel like an RPG, I installed a level cap at 50 as well, and it feels like my level up choices severly matter, especially in the early game. Love this mod, and the people who amde it are amazing at what they do!

This is how i loved fallout and semi missed in fallout 4 looking forward to it good work to everyone whom works on this
Liking the live commentary. You're voice is a lot more paced the video doesn't feel so rushed
Im fine with perks being available at certain levels but not different tiers of that perk being locked at certain levels
Yeah it really limits certain perks too much. If I want to create a character obsessed with robots, I’m going to have to wait a long while to get all the perks I need.
Nice, this'll make adding more perks to the game much easier
Im assuming this will conflict with any gameplay overhaul mods, like immersive gameplay?
Hahah. Make a mod bundle called make fallout good again
max kranz explain how needing to get a skill raised in increments of 25 to notice a increase in gameplay is different than investing in 4 levels of a skill? The Old and new system are exactly the same just in a different format.
Big Daddy Creme Cheese A lot of the perks aren't locked behind level requirements, so if you just straight up invest into one skill you could have all of the perk benefits at a low level, as was demonstrated clearly in the video.

Codename Ocelot Well I'm talking about the old perk system and the old system not the mod
Now someone create a level cap mod, preferably level 50
If this is anything like previous titles then level 50 is way too high.
Maybe 30 - 35.
Unlevel the enemies then. Problem solved.
Enemies should never, ever level with you in a roleplaying game. It makes levels seem artificial.
this is awesome, thanks for the information man!
Congratulations, you have encouraged me to download this mod.. hopefully it's not incompatible with pretty much all of my other mods that take advantage of the perk tree, lol.
It would be awesome if they added NEW perks, or allow this mod to be compatible with the other mods that give new perks.
This is what vanilla fallout 4 should've been
Wow this is awesome. But I'm curious as to how this wil be implemented. I like to play Fallout 4 with its vanilla levelup and perk system (yeah lol don't hate), but I would love to play F4NV with this modded system.

It's interesting to think about :)
There’s a mod called mental health management system it makes the player have a realistic mental state unlike games make it out to be
this mod is a wet dream considering if u really play enough on 1 character u could get well over lv 100
I like the new interface, I liked the old interface, these mods are amazing
now to get in on xbox so i can use it in a explosive heavy weapons power armor build
Sorry mate, but it requires script extender
I asked about this yesterday but no one said anything so I guess, I will just ask again. Can you please make a video about your successes on TH-cam and why you wanted to start your channel. Anyway love your content and that message video from a few days ago.
with that LevelUpMenuEx mod none of the base game perks show up only the Fallout 76 perk mods perks any way to fix this?
I’m assuming we have New Vegas’ energy perks? Like the one that makes enemies explode, and potentially have that explosion chain to other enemies.
Nice video, you should do live commentary more often
You said this added Traits back in, but I didn't see them in the video. :(
Is there a list of them somewhere?
the person who did the perks and skills is actively working on it and tag skills
Oh nice! Thanks for the heads up. :D
You should do the Benelli M3 shotgun mod if you haven't showcased it yet. It is one of few pump shotgun mods that are on Nexus and it looks, sounds, and handles good, in my personal opinion.
I love Dem mods!!!!!!!
Skill points in this mod are like fallout 1 your I×2=Skill points
5 intelligence equals 10 skill points
6 equals 12
7 equals 14 etc.
They've should've made books that increase special stats and placed them in "reasonable" locations
The critical hits is like on previous Fallout games as well?
Amazing! Is there any way to make this work without Fallout 4 Script Extender (or port it to Xbox 1?) I know it's kind of unlikely, but I want it so bad );
No, it won't happen.
AntonioBarbarian Don’t be so pessimistic dude. We never really know what mod authors are capable of.
Nope it wont happen keep dreaming
And not to mention that I had to even go into the game files and fix the fucking game files in order to get the game to even work properly even after the Patch came out
Can someone ask the person who made this mod to port it
over to Xbox
Haven't had anyone problems to get Immersive HUD working? I'm using HUD Framework as required (priority is set correctly to be loaded before Immersive HUD is). Using holotape I'm able to activate it but it doesn't work anything even when trying to change settings. Have already tried a clean installation with no success.
Rip Xbox, great mod and I like the live commentary
This System is sooo much better. I prefer the Level up Menu from Fallout 3 and New Vegas.
I really need help i followed all these steps but its not working for me.
Can you get the educated perk?
I hope we can alter the level cap for perks and skill points, can we also change the skill cap? Like in Fallout3/NV where there was this one mod that changed the caps from 100 to 255.
THANK GOD THANK YOU MODDERS YOU ARE OUR SAVIORS I CAN DOWNLOAD THE GAMA AND PLAY AGAIN
Don't download this mod right now there is a major bug with it that cause game to crash everytime you open up the level up menu
As in if you download it dont delete thats when it screws up the most
Rather than having them be named Pistols, Rifles, and Heavy Weapons, I wish they were called Small Guns, Guns, and Big Guns for nostalgia's sake haha
You should really do more live commentary, you seem more relaxed and in some ways more understandable. I than feel In your previous videos you speak at “warp” speed which makes it difficult at least for me to keep up. But as always, great video much appreciated.
Joined your discord the other day. Now its gone from the list and clicking on the invite again says its expired
your enb looks like you smeared smoke on the screan
I REALLY hope Unbogus All-in-one takes this and uses it soon. I'm itching to have it back on the game.
And what the neck is going in with W.A.R.S? :(
How did I not know about this mod?!?!?
i hope this come to consoles it would make the game even funner
Housin Engi Trash your xbox already and switch to pc.
I prefer this type of commentary.
now we need a mod with the speak checks based on this one...and so on..
that would make fallout 4's dialogue in game be reworked. but these with XDI are near perfection.
I have this mod installed after watching this video and it is truly awesome. I finally have new motivation to play this game (together with some other mods) but i have one question... what skill increases the damage done with automatic weapons? I cant seem to find the right skill for that..
I might give the game anoughter chance with this.
I think I will create a version of my mod, which features this mod! But first I have to finish the version 0.3... :D At the moment I am mostly working on the Quest swfs
AHHHH YEAHH skills back!!!! I just need weapon condition and it would be perfect
weapon condition is unneccisary. wasnt in the origonal games. ammo is enough of a resource to limit gear.
Not on Xbox hope they get ported
Sorry mate, but it requires script extender
Enclave grunt Stop being sorry let us die alone...*cries in lack of script extender*
Lol
None of the perks show up for me at all and I've been trying to fix it for a good 2 hours now and no dice. The discord group is a ghost town too sadly.
do more of this kind of video
looks fantastic to bad that i cant use it in my VR playthrough
I'm so happy to see this.
Will this work on a pre-existing playthrough? Or will I have to start all over?
4 years later...not many mods use this sadly...
when juice head was a good youtuber
I've been trying to run it but the game crashes every time I open the Perk Chart.
Yay
so is this mod coming to xbox
Nope it requires f4se
WHY WHY WHY Do u describe the mod BUT NOT HOW TO I INSTALL IT!. WHEN I INSTALL THEM THEY DIDNT WORK! :(
same, it comes up but has no interface do use
drag the downloaded archive mod file into a fallout 4 mod manager like vortex
You should do a stream with it.
Juice Head
I'm looking for a mod that gives you Deployable bunkers. Any help?
I think next time you do a live com you should make a rough script before hand, might help shorten the video a little. Other wise I'm not opposed to you doing live coms
I know this is old but, does this strait up replace the fallout 4 perks or is this in addition to them?
Really hope this comes to XB1
The discord invite in the description is expired :(
Can't make this mod work for the life of me. Really don't understand what I'm doing wrong; running with the latest f4se/fallout4 versions, enabled loose files, installed with nmm, etc. What's worse, I can't find anyone else whose had and solved this problem. I've gotta be missing something simple, right?
If only this mod will work with HORIZON...
Off topic, can you do an asmr video of just you narrating Morgan Freeman lines from his movies. Thank you.
