Anyone else miss the days when they were able to film 20+ 1 hour episodes each and every year for each and every show? Now we keep seeing short season shows that “need” 2+ years to make a new season.
Yes. Only way 6-13 -episode first season only happened when an entire show was cancelled really early, or were hastily made to replace another show that was killed mid season. All real shows had 20+ episodes a year. Ok, there was another possibility. If the show was British, they had those short seasons with really odd schedules. Breaks that can last years, 5 to 10 episodes seasons etc.
yeah they are shitting out 17 different new shows each year that no one asked for, cancel all of them after 1 season, and meanwhile shows with any interest are on life support.

They have a lot to clear up from the first part seeing how it ended. But it might do like other modern show where they just don't give any answers, also I worry what they are going to do with new vegas seeing what they did with the NCR.

We've been promised a Deathclaw. When you put a Deathclaw skull so prominently in a shot near the end of the final episode of the season, you've made a pact with your audience. There's a fight or similar with at least one Deathclaw coming.
If they wrap filming in 3/4 months, then an end of next year release would be realistic (maybe August). Wouldn’t hold my breath on it though, excited either way
the one thing i wish, that they would get Hugh Laurie as house, its an alternate reality and therefore could be how house ended up in alternate realities would be a great thing

If we saw something on the Strip with NCR and the Securitrons, that means something happened after the Hoover Dam leaving NCR and the Securitrons left. Eliminated the possibly of Caesars Legion winning. So the only three canon endings could be NCR or Mr. house or Yes Man

If they shoot episode 1 first then it's pretty reasonable they have the script for episode 1 done or close to within 4 weeks, especially if it includes a lot of the concepts from season 1
As far as filming speed, I don't see an issue. Shows used to have very quick turn around times, and with the way streaming services don't communicate renewals until *after* getting viewer numbers these day it makes sense actors wouldn't have much info (under under direction to say they don't). If they've got most of the assets, and kept the a lot of the same crew on the project, a year ish turnaround time isn't out of the question.
That would mean making NV and nost of the lore connected to it fir the West into an AU, which would fix Bethesda's Fallout by saying that anything Todd and Emil says is tied to their Fallout, while New Vegas and everything else is tied to the non-bethesda canon
Because that be even stupider than just making one canon considering NV Ending is ALWAYS NCR vs The Legion on Hoover Dam only thing important is who keeps it House, The NCR or Yesman/The Courier
Started playing New Vegas at start of year - then installed TTW... so I've spent the better part the year in New Vegas. I hope they can successfully translate what is a truly special game. I think they nailed it in Season One. 🤞
Just because they're filming doesn't mean everyone is available at the start of filming. It'll be a long process for a successful show with a busy cast.
They could leave House’s death or life ambiguous in the post-war stuff and therefor making it so any viewer can have their headcannon for if House is dead or not, based on the ending they got themselves in New Vegas or whichever they like more. Theoretically if nothing is confirmed or denied, House could be in his chamber, somewhere else in the wastes somehow, or dead all at the same time.
I really don’t want them to rush this, this season is clearly going to New Vegas and if they rush trying to make a story they might mess up some lore and we’ll get another chalkboard moment but potentially worse
The chalkboard didn't tell us exactly when Shady Sands got blown up though. All we know is that Shady Sands was in decline prior to its absolute destruction at an unspecified date. And judging by the relative age of Maximus and Lucy in the show's timeline it is a very, very small window of time where the events of NV play out.

Patience is key i do have two little nitpicks of CGI and special effects from the first season that’s when the power armour gets flipped over from the Yao guai (in video game terms. It feels like a stutter or a slight pause. The power armour comes up, pauses turns over pauses and then hits the ground) and then again in the beginning of the season where the ghoul tries to lasso the power armour (max) with a metal chain Preventing him from escaping even even though there was nothing else on the screen at the time I still feel like the quality of special effects or CGI was rough during that specific scene if you go back and rewatch it and focus on the metal chain and how it attaches to the power armor, it’s almost cartoonish in a sense. Other than that, I’m hoping they don’t ignore the factions. For example, the scientist that escaped the enclave and they just didn’t bother Go looking for him or what he stole(both Moldover and the brotherhood were adamant.) It was important and powerful but then the enclave just let it go? It would’ve been nice to see the brotherhoods investigation into Dane and how/why they were able to get promoted so quickly. One thing I would like to see is a bit more of the fallout darkness, despair, desperation, and horror. Would love to see them, reach out and pay respect to how unforgivable the first two games are and can be (121 page tutorial and guidebook) (death messages “Your bones are scraped clean by the desolate wind. Your Vault will now surely die, as you have.") (You've done it! That's . . . wonderful. Amazing! I'm so proud of what you've accomplished, what you've endured. Maybe she said that because she doesn’t want to spill the beans on the show people lie on purpose to keep things secret so I wouldn’t read much into it, filming starts in November and you figure that takes a several months and after that various other edits have to happen.

If they are going to put out Season 2 as soon as possible they are not going to be able to release all the episodes at once, as they did with Season 1. They are going to trickle them out at a rate of about one a month.
I'm not keen on them making a new season as quickly as possible. Please take time and make something as good, if not hopefully even better than the first season. We deserve quality content, not quickly made slop.
Wait!! you think it's rushed? The writers have had at least 6 months, and that's from when the show came out. They've had longer if you think about it, the fact that the show ended up showing New Vegas, shows that they were thinking of, if not working on things then. So some of the writers have had maybe a year so far to work on the new series. Sorry but I do not call that rushed. Companies can have people working on projects that never see the light of day, so having people work on the idea that the show maybe a hit, a year ago is not beyond the realms of possibilities.
Bigger questions is what can/is Microsoft and Bethesda releasing for Fallout Season 2? Can they complete a remake, spinoff or (hopium) Fallout 5 by 2026?
Actually, I still think this is incredibly slow if they have a lot of the scrips done or mostly done with many of the sets and effects done why are they waited so long to shoot it in November? Why wait so long? Unless preparation’s are only recently completed I don’t see why they’re not shooting sooner.
I'm hoping they do more stuff with the factions and less with the main cast, they barely even breathed on the faction war. Maybe Kyle MacLachlan will be captured by the enclave but quickly gain their trust and rise through their ranks. While Maximus begins to adapt to the responsibilities of his rank, I really hope they don't throw that away for puppy love, take it slow. Lucy should return home to find the vault in complete shambles, all the vault dwellers slaughtering each other, the cast for that vault sucked, better to get a new cast, maybe unlock and explore the chasm of all the vaults connected via tunnels.
Yeah i'm pretty sure Ella Purnell was just lying there, from what i know about the scheduling process there's no way you going to get your lead actress scheduled for months of filming in like a few weeks.
Am I the only one that wants to see this show succeed? Fans can be dense sometimes,if they rush this and fail to deliver it's because of videos like this one or fans thinking they're entitled to fast turnouts. I have got a feeling that the effects in Season 2 is going to cost the studio a lot and the Stars of the show have other gigs that they are working on Ella has 3 shows she is juggling right now so don't expect Fallout Season 2 any time in the near future.
We hope to see more and if the quality dips we would rather it end on a good note. 👍 I remember waiting for the game of thrones episodes to release. Give it time Fallout has never been more popular. The timeline on everything adds up here. It took a long time from season one where we saw the sets outbin the wild until the show release. If they need time to produce their content then let them. Everyone is caught up in instant gratification. They want productions in the level of LOTR/Titanic/Star Wars/Casablanca/Finding Nemo to come out every 2 months. Fast isn't the word here. It's that they need to pass all the goals of production. Fallout shouldn't be treated like a 2minute filet mignon. Because you have to forget that the food has now been cooked twice meaning it cost twice as much and it needs to be shipped to your door means payng someone to actually do that. And probably got prepared days or weeks ago... But 2 minute meals is the catch line and sinker.
Years between seasons of a show is just wrong. My guess is because they just dump a season all at once these days, which is silly. It's not a movie, there's no reason for it. Amazon killed the videostar.

I have confidence towards the producers, directors and Amazon Studios to give another great season for Fallout. Many who are wringing their hands today are the same ones who thought the series would suck and kept wrongly claiming the show was destroying the lore. Until they prove us wrong, I feel that they have the knowledge, skills, talent, attention to detail and commitment to properly work on the series and release it after great editing and post production work. Many of us talking have never worked in the entertainment or for that matter gaming industries, so most are talking out of our asses.

Ella Purnell has said a few different things that haven’t made a lot of sense. The first one was when talking about if she had played the video game. She said she had played Fallout 4 but couldn’t ever get past level 2 or 3, like it was set up like Mario or something lol. So I never take anything she has to say seriously. I think she just talks out of her a$$ half the time.
While the TV series is decent it is not great. Being Fallout helps and they got that part right, but some of the story struggles to not damage lore and the characters and acting are NOT the best, especially Lucy, Maximus and Lee Moldaver (poorly written and acted). The Ghoul is really the only well written and acted character. The world seems VERY empty too. That is one of the many things I really liked about Fallout 4. After you set up the settlements and supply chains and have the Pridwin there and activated the Mechanist and completed the main mission there is stuff constantly going on. There are Vertibirds flying around, you see the supply chains working, the winning faction manning checkpoints, about 30 thriving settlements with 500+ settlers, as well as the factions and places like Diamond city... and all the raiders, super mutants, Gunners, synths, ghouls, Children of the Atom, and mutated animals... the place is filled with life and activity.
I’d much prefer if they canonized an ending. I know some fans think it’ll ruin your choices but shut up, no it won’t. Did it ruin your choices in Fallout 1/2? I’d hate for the show to drop in quality because of something this stupid.

Wait!! you think it's rushed? The writers have had at least 6 months, and that's from when the show came out. They've had longer if you think about it, the fact that the show ended up showing New Vegas, shows that they were thinking of, if not working on things then. So some of the writers have had maybe a year so far to work on the new series. Sorry but I do not call that rushed.

We hope to see more and if the quality dips we would rather it end on a good note. 👍 I remember waiting for the game of thrones episodes to release. Give it time Fallout has never been more popular. The timeline on everything adds up here. It took a long time from season one where we saw the sets outbin the wild until the show release. If they need time to produce their content then let them. Everyone is caught up in instant gratification. They want productions in the level of LOTR/Titanic/Star Wars/Casablanca/Finding Nemo to come out every 2 months. Fast isn't the word here. It's that they need to pass all the goals of production. Fallout shouldn't be treated like a 2minute filet mignon. Because you have to forget that the food has now been cooked twice meaning it cost twice as much and it needs to be shipped to your door means payng someone to actually do that. And probably got prepared days or weeks ago... But 2 minute meals is the catch line and sinker.
Years between seasons of a show is just wrong. My guess is because they just dump a season all at once these days, which is silly. It's not a movie, there's no reason for it.

Honestly, 2 years doesn't seem too farfetched to me. The show is a huge branding and marketing tool - it can't be tied to another Fallout game but having it run around TES6 release will still give this sweet sweet exposure. I have confidence towards the producers, directors and Amazon Studios to give another great season for Fallout. Many who are wringing their hands today are the same ones who thought the series would suck and kept wrongly claiming the show was destroying the lore.
Until they prove us wrong, I feel that they have the knowledge, skills, talent, attention to detail and commitment to properly work on the series and release it after great editing and post production work. Many of us talking have never worked in the entertainment or for that matter gaming industries, so most are talking out of our asses.

Ella Purnell has said a few different things that haven’t made a lot of sense. The first one was when talking about if she had played the video game. She said she had played Fallout 4 but couldn’t ever get past level 2 or 3, like it was set up like Mario or something lol. So I never take anything she has to say seriously. I think she just talks out of her a$$ half the time.

While the TV series is decent it is not great. Being Fallout helps and they got that part right, but some of the story struggles to not damage lore and the characters and acting are NOT the best, especially Lucy, Maximus and Lee Moldaver (poorly written and acted). The Ghoul is really the only well written and acted character.
The world seems VERY empty too. That is one of the many things I really liked about Fallout 4. After you set up the settlements and supply chains and have the Pridwin there and activated the Mechanist and completed the main mission there is stuff constantly going on. There are Vertibirds flying around, you see the supply chains working, the winning faction manning checkpoints, about 30 thriving settlements with 500+ settlers, as well as the factions and places like Diamond city... and all the raiders, super mutants, Gunners, synths, ghouls, Children of the Atom, and mutated animals... the place is filled with life and activity.
