    I would still pick the Lexus over any German cars. You have to factor in reliability, less maintenance and great mileage.

    The electric (safety) door no one asked for is the best thing people are getting. Amazing! And about the head-up-display, don't just complain how inconvenient it is to touch -activate and see it to control it, please suggest any possible solution. Otherwise, you are just the same as any whiny youtube reviewers.

They are getting them in 2-3 months. I ordered the 350 h but the 450h is really here its at. Its got the speed, the 37 (30 in the real world) EV range and for me I am 25 miles from work so I could drive there- charge and drive back and pay only electricity. But we Americans dont like waiting- at least not a year. So I dont know about waiting til Q1 of next year... Oh well I lied- I know more Australian- AC/DC! @@ZE4MC good on you mate! I wanted the 450h but I feel that the remote public charging stations are a still a work in progress. You can end driving to a country side with just one charger in the town and if it’s not your lucky day it might be out of service as well. I would always think twice before heading out on a road trip which is far out. Hence 350h. Best of both the worlds. Having said that, Tesla is selling like a hot rod here. Bob, always a legend!

    PLEASE keep and use a DECIBEL METER in your reports! I bought a 2022 ES300h three months ago and love it. Except for when I push the gas pedal hard, the engine noise is really not bad at all. In fact at steady speeds it is amazingly quiet.

    • @JC130676
      @JC130676 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had the 450h+ as a loaner for a day while my RX was being serviced. I enjoyed driving purely electric and the car accelerated surprisingly quick on the electric motor alone. I found it to be noisier than the RX though, even when in EV mode, as both tire and wind noise were more clearly audible. The suspension didn't give that "magic carpet" ride but because it was stiffer and the car is much lighter it went around corners a lot sharper. The infotainment system of the NX 450h+ was vastly superior though and the gap of several years was almost painfully obvious. For handling and fuel economy the NX 450h+ is the clear winner, but for long drives I still prefer my RX. Where the NX offers a lot of luxury, the RX surrounds you with opulence. It makes me very curious what the new RZ will be like.

      @@JC130676 Thx for the feedback! For the next 3 years for sure, I plan to keep my 2022 ES300h. It has a driving range of 480 miles, is quiet and comfortable. I've grown used to the fact that the acceleration is kind of sluggish and a bit noisy...no big deal! :)

    The electronic door handle has a safety feature which sensors bicycles and motorcycles that go by your car. You might not see them when you open the door but the car senses their movements. Lexus currently can’t make that safety on mechanic door.

    Great review. I bought a NX 350h in Nori Green last month. Am loving it, but I agree with your comments about the steering wheel controls being confusing. I also had difficulties getting the the driver's seat memory to set, but I fixed that from watching a Toyota dealer TH-cam video. The apple car play is quirky sometimes also, and the wireless charger is slow & doesn't always keep connection with the phone to charge. Overall though, I'm loving it & really loving getting 38 - 39 MPG!

    Sorry you didn’t like the electronic door but you need to research and understand why Lexus has it. In simple terms, it helps to keep you from hitting pedestrians when getting out of car. The mechanical handle is a redundant system in case your battery goes out. Very clever and forward thinking in my opinion. And the outside door handle? That’s in tune with the latest tech bro. Automotive manufacturers are moving away from mechanical door handles. There’s a button behind the handle that you press to open the door. It’s that simple.

    • @Lifes_Frosting
      @Lifes_Frosting ปีที่แล้ว

      I have a brand new 2023 NX 350 and there's an issue with the driver door sensor. When it works properly it's great. Unfortunately the more tech in a vehicle the more issues you can have. It shouldn't take 6 tries to open the door and exit your vehicle when there is nothing around it. Even the mechanical handle won't release the door. Hopefully it's an easy fix and not something I have to deal with much longer. I have to agree that the changes to the door handle are unnecessary.

    If you don't get the hybrid you're looking at 21 miles to the gallon for the all-wheel drive NX 350. That's pretty bad. My sister just bought a 2022 NX 350 and I was surprised at that poor gas mileage average.

    NX450H is not even being sold in Illinois because it is not a zero carbon state so I can't even qualify. Dealers in california are selling the car for 10k above MSRP which negates the Tax Credit. I ended up getting a the 350H for my parents and i'm happy with that but I think it's ridiculous I wasn't given an option to buy the 450h.
    Steering wheel controls are the worst part of the car. It's non-intuitive and rather a distraction on the road when you combine with a HUD. The rest of the car has been pretty good, gas mileage has been great and overall, i was happy with the new additions to the car. They just need someone to really make better decisions on some of the smaller items.
