This has nothing to do with hate or racism.. People have preferences and that is their right.
It’s about Hollywood pre-perceive notions and darker skin due to colonialism there’s a lot of things that affect peoples mindset there. But at the same time if your preference is your preference, you might miss out on something special, happy, stereotypical views about skin color, personality wealth everybody has her own mind. and if a woman dating me because of my skin color, you know it won’t last long

It is not surprising for bicolanas to choose white over black. I am black and married a bicolana. The family and friends persuaded her to divorce me and marry a white man. When I brought her to England, UK, that's exactly what she did. For it didn't matter. Since I dearly love Filipinos, I married another one from Iloilo. She's bliss, joy, happiness, love, and emotional stability. It's a blessing that the other divorced me. I wouldn't have been free from emotional instability and chaos.

Good video at least I know what to realize when I come to the Philippines in September I have to make sure I meet the right one who is into black guys like myself. People have they type of people they want to be with I have mines as well I'm picky so I understand what they mean.

I spent 20yrs in the US Air Force and saw many mixed marriages with Filipino women to both black and white men. I think it depends on where you go and who you meet. This was an interesting snippet of Filipino society.

I am trying to be careful with the way I write these things due to the charged nature of the subject of relationships between those of different colors, so I hope you will understand.
The majority of Filipinas who are interested in foreigners at all (a lot will prefer their own Filipino men) they would prefer the lighter guys like Europeans, but there is a growing preference among Filipinas to actually go for darker skinned guys as well. It is not as prevalent as the desire for the lighter, but it is increasing fairly rapidly over time.
Filipinos have been greatly influenced by basketball, in particular, and every town has a court. Music influences from America has also favored towards the darker community in recent years as well. Filipinos have been strongly influenced by American culture.
Some will even see it as a taboo that will turn them on.
I personally have met and talked with darker guys, and am happily familiar with channels here. More To Life is a great one with a positive experience. His Filipina wife is educated and was working in Thailand when they originally met.
I’m primarily Irish and Czech myself, but I’ve already learned quite a lot about their society in the Philippines islands, of which there are 7,800 islands or so, and like 34 languages or something. English is the second most commonly spoken language, and is taught in public schools.
Opinions can vary greatly from one end of the spectrum to the other between different islands, different cities, different villages, different groups and religious cliques, or even different friend groups.
Best option is to go Date In Asia no cost about 2 months from planning a trip there. Talk to a bunch and plan out a long vacation and meeting in person with the ones you are most interested in. Be careful of beggars or scammers, but put yourself out there. There WILL be Filipinas who would genuinely be happy to be with you.

But you are still very beautiful, and most of all, VERY intelligent, and that is coming from a light skin, VERY CLEAN, handsome, and highly educated Black man with a Masters degree who always washes his hands after using toilets, unlike many white men who I have observed not doing the same.. There are white women who date only Black men like myself, and there are other white women who date ONLY Dark skin Black men, and say that I am not their "Cup Of Tea". I have also observed numerous dark skin Black women who say they don't date LIGHT SKIN Black men, and there are dark skin Black men who say they will not date a light skin Black female and will turn right around and date a Mexican woman ha.. I really have no particular preference, but if I could paint a picture of the woman I would feel most compatible with, it would be a "Female Opposite" who looks like me but better looking because she would be a female ha ha ha. I guess one would say that I LOVE MYSELF more than anyone else, as well as people who mirrors my image in life..

I'm a white man and won't talk to most Filipinas on Facebook anymore because many come across as a caring friend and then start asking you for money. Don't fall for the game. If you happen to meet one in person, that's different. But social media communication is just a money grab.

Don't take that personal, guys. You will see this inclination towards a lighter skin within their own people. You will see the use of soaps and other products to bleach their skin. The morena filipina is considered a lower standard of beauty and gets bullied early on in high school. Just the effect of colonialism all around the world. It's sad because a morena filipina is sooooo beautiful.

And that comes from the Chinese and the Koreans. Not from the 50 years of white colonizing we endured over our 1,000 years of being colonized from the Indians to the Japanese. I see the issue. When they say white they probably mean a Korean K-Pop Star. Y'all only see whites as European, right? We see black as Africans and Black Americans. The Chinese had the first color systems I am aware of. And in the castes systems were colored. The darker you were meant you were lower caste. It meant you worked fields or shipping lanes. While lighter skin rulers never set foot in the sun and where lighter skinned. See they are trying to put American racial values on our history and it's not the same and it's being looked at as true by the under educated.
I agree some Morena Filipina ladies are extremely beautiful. Some of the most beautiful in the country.
colorism is not just from european colonization... egyptians, greeks, japanese women would powder their faces and apply an assortment of concoctions to their skin to lighten it, hundreds and thousands of years prior the age of exploration.
That was done very tastefully. I think everyone has their personal preferences. I’m white/latin mix race man and I’m essentially bald. Many women might prefer a man with really nice hair. I’m also very fit but many women don’t care about fit athletic body and just want a tall man even if he’s fat.
The bottom line is that you must be yourself and not be desperate to settle for someone who you’re not attracted too or just be with someone because of money. You need to feel passionate about being with that person.

One would think they would feel differently if they know anything about the history of their country. The Philippines used to be a Spanish colony and the Filipinas hated their colonial ruler. After the Spanish American war the Filipinas thought that American would liberate them, however the American government did liberate them from Spanish power but only to be recolonized by the Americans. Natural resources now in the possession of America, if America doesn't like their government chosen by the people - a hit job will take place and those leaders will be gone or dead. The Philippines will always be ruled by a western power aka white people, so they will control the mind of of every Filipina through media and education.

As a black guy, any who think this video is racist is just uninformed. It's no secret Filipinas prefer white men over almost all men. Half of the girls there spend crazy money bleaching themselves trying to have whiter skin. And still, I have had relationships with plenty Filipinas. Their preference is just a preference...not a deal breaker. And most of these girls look like city girls. Girls from out in the provinces are way more open to black men and other races...and I think they are more genuine and look naturally sexier than those you find in the city.

I’m Black and when I was stationed in Hawaii it was my first experience with Filipinas. It struck me as odd that these good looking Filipino women were married to these dorky looking White sailors. Being nice looking with a good personality I thought I’d have a shot. Nope. I got turned down flat by three different women on three different occasions. The last one actually told me that I looked dirty to her. That was in the late 80s. Now I’m happily married with 3 kids. I guess I had to live and learn.👍🏾🇺🇸🇺🇸

If it makes you feel any better, its not just filipinas, its Most Asians- Thai, Korean, Japanese, Chinese. They covet white skin. You see it in the marketing/advertisements billboards, movies, tv shows. Their favorite actors and actresses. Its no different than Middle Eastern men loving white women. People like what they like. Heck I see it in the black communities in the USA. Dark Black men will pursue the lightest women they can find. And the light women will pursue the darkest men they can find.

It's because they know attitude of Philipino men. So many single mothers here in Philippines. Some Philippino men here have multiple women with kids to they can't take care of so the woman are left to do it alone and lots of times they find good hearted foreigners Black White or Brown because Philipplino men stay clear of them because of the kids. I've been here and see it first hand. I pray every day that God fix this problem. So many homeless kids.

Yes they dont have great bodies and are not really physicallyattractive. No Asian woman really have good butts and breast. But they are nice and domestic. So its a ok trade off if you choose one.
Black men aren't usually attracted to Asian women of all types in general. Most Asian women don't have the curvy body type Black Men prefer. Black men prefer Black women, Latinas, or White women...usually in that order.

As an African American who is married to a Filipina from the Philippines but live in America, I think it would be interesting for a Black man to street interview Black men in America and asked them if they would prefer dating a Filipina, White, or a Latina woman? Hands down they will pick the Latina. Why? Because of physical beauty and body type. Latina women are more curvy like Black women (who are Black men #1 preference). Black men like women with bigger breasts and bigger thighs in general. They would pick that over skinner women. What's not surprising is that Filipinas desire white because they've been taught their darker skin is undesirable so they want white instead of Black or darker skin men. Filipina women even use "skin whiting creams" to lighten their skin. Those creams don't work, but they spend millions of dollars trying to do the impossible. It also tells you about the physic of the Filipina women in relationship to their own darker skin. And it looks like about 80% of all Filipinos (men and women) are darker skin people.😊😊😊 Interesting street interview though!😊😊😊 P.S. One of the women looks like my wife.

I'm a handsome young white man and I've been trying to find a Filipina wife through dating apps for over two years now. Many Filipinas tell me that they want to have sex and children with me, but are not interested in having serious long-distance relationship before that. I on the other hand can't imagine flying to Philippines and tie the knot with someone I don't know well. I'm starting to believe that they are not interested in my personality at all, they are just window shopping. I think my only option to find a good wife is to actually move there for at least a year, but I'm not willing to leave my job.
Finding a good Filipina on dating apps is difficult. Anyone can say whatever they want you to believe online and there's many scammers. My advice, befriend a foreigner that's married to a Filipina and maybe he knows a good province lady that wants something serious. Second option, take a vacation and spend a whole month in the Philippines. You'll see the ladies in person rather than being 8000 miles away. If you do visit the Philippines, we suggest visiting the province where there's not many foreigners.
They simply can't take you seriously until you show up in their country. I know I found a Filipina. But it took a lot of weeding out the scam artists. The younger they are the more likely they will be very fickle and not serious. Never tell them how much money you make. Don't pursue them unless you can provide at least a middle class lifestyle. Don't give in to demands and expectations that you will support their entire family. If you meet one Take time to know her. not days but months. I could go on and on.

Just like Latin America, the Philippines was colonized. So their preference aren't surprising. Colorism is very prevalent there even within their own community.

Thailand and Japan were never colonized, they have the same preferences. If you study history, this preference for lighter skin goes way back before these people even saw a white person.
Colorism existed in Asia before Magellan and Marco Polo. It's in the Chinese and Koreans worship of Albino dragon emperor and Indian through caste systems. The Spanish were not white. They sent their mexicano soldier to hold us captive inland Philippines because they hate the heat. The Indians who held our lands for 500 years were not white. I look at myself as brown. I look at a korean or chinese as white. Many of these girls also think the same thing. We don't think of white American first. We think of hot white korean boy. I think we need to clear up this stuff because when people tell me I'm programmed it's shit. The American did bring freedom and education, but the education has always been Filipino centric. Even the learning about the black Americans who rebelled and stood against the US government. The way you all see it isn't reality and it's more in line with programming to us. It makes us not even want to live and work in US anymore. What they mean by clean is the cultural attitudes that they see. When we see black we see black american being gangsters and we don't find it okay. It's not a clean image. Not that you are not a clean person. Does that make sense. Thinking in English is at the limit.

I am a black man who is in a group of filipinos. I found them so reserved, and so respectful. Believe me you, if you are a good person, filipinos will like you. Filipino women they love white man, nomatter the age, even if one is on his death bed, as long as it's a white man with a powerful passport , they will fall for him.
I have been to the Philippines many times. My wife is Filipina. I see Filipinas with men mainly from the UK or US. These men are all shades of whiteness and all shades of blackness. My visits reveal about 60% white and 40% black - but I have not been everywhere in the Philippines and is only my personal experience. Regardless of skin color, all of these foreign men have had an open mind and great attitude about life and people. THAT is what makes the difference !!
The reason why the percent is higher with white men is because they travel more than anyone to these places and take advantage of the opportunity to get women there. You hear these women say this and that but when you go there, it’s a different story lol. You’ll find the real truth once you’ve traveled there and experience for yourself.

I visited Manila once many years ago, and I didn't like it. I now live in Pattaya and I love it very much, because the women range in so many different skin colors, with great body curves and nice butts, and many are several shades darker than me, and they are the most attractive as far as I'm concerned.. 😍❤❤❤

It's okay for them to have their opinions. Filipinas prefer white over black. That's okay. Honestly, if you were to ask black men which do you prefer, a Latina or a Filipina, I would say virtually zero would choose the Filipina. If you were task most white guys they prefer, a blond white or a Filipina, virtually zero would choose Filipina. Just my opinion, too.

Asians generally prefer white skin. Heck I grew up in Africa and I remember as a kid me thinking whites were prettier/better etc, and that’s because of how I had been conditioned to think. It took me years to start thinking for myself and shake of the subconscious conditioning I had been fed most of my life.

What I found surprising is that most woman had a distinct and quick response to the ethnicity that they prefer. What shook them is the thought of dating a foreigner. As most white and black males are not originating from the PH, it is quite interesting. They absolutely prefer the lighter skin tone, from this video, but the idea of actually dating a foreigner is a harder topic.

Due to evolution, women typically do not find recessive traits attractive, because they're not the strongest genes possible that would ensure the survival rate of their offsprings. What's even more funny to me is that the women didn't mention the truth: that they were attracted to your money. Most women associate Europeans with having more money than Africans. So, their responses were not sincere. A study was recently done that showed when an African had the same or equal finances as their European counterpart, the women preferred the African male. So, it's about money, little about physical looks, and who can afford them a better lifestyle than what they are currently experiencing.

I met a black man whose wife is/was Pinoy/Pinay. I think Filipinas or any other Asian women prefer white men to black men because they mean to them "better social status". interracial relationships are now pretty common in U.S., and you will see tons of Asian women dating white men or black women dating white guys and white women dating black guys.

Filipinos like many other countries Asians and Southeast Asians
They often try to whiten their skin because theres a large divide with people that have darker skin and lighter skin
Its seen as poor or dirty to have darker skin and rich to have white skin
So its not surprising they choose a white man because they look “clean and fresh” compared to a black man they want their kids to come out with a white skin tone because of beauty standards.
Personally its not a issue i would never date a filipino or Asian or anything spanish i only find black and white to be attractive and i have absolutely no issue getting them.

I often wondered why a person of Filipina or Filipino decent would choose someone outside their culture. I wonder the same about Americans. As I am. I believe it is culture. What has been taught and on the inside. Their are attractive people all over the world. Every culture. My idea of a wife. Someone I want to spend the rest of my life with. Has nothing to do with where they are born. Values, beliefs make more of an impact on long term relationships. I see their are many catholics in the Phillipines. Many in the southeast portion of the U.S. Where I am from. Family traditions are important in the Phillipines. Taking care of elders, etc.. I put the stipulation on wife and family. My preference would not necessarily work for those interested in dating. Whatever your wishes. Short or long term. Make the most out of it. Be patient. Understanding and caring. Thoughtful and respectful. I am an open book. I am cajun and creole. I love meeting people who like to smile. Have fun. Not being judgemental. I haven't met a Filipina who wasn't kind . Thoughtful, respectful, or family oriented. I would definitely marry someone from the Philippines. If we were compatable. Beautiful on the inside. Love to all❤

I'm not surprised with these results. I was stationed in Okinawa in my 20s and there were alot of Filipino women living there. They almost exclusively dated white guys although I was a Captain and the white guys were like E3 or E4 on average. I thought they just assumed those guys were more rich as i didnt mention my rank. What's ironic is I'm a millionaire status now. Now i did have very good experiences with Japanese women.

I figured out the reason they’re saying white men is because they think there’s more financial security. I know a lot of white guys when I go to the Philippines they get stressed out because they’re white they think they’re rich and their whole family gives them a lot of stress. It’s OK to have a preference, but sometimes the pre-proceeded notion might not be what they think

I was planning to visit the Philippines next year but might just go back to Vietnam instead. I was treated like a King there. I'm not saying things wouldn't be the same in the Philippines but I don't want to be a last resort for someone. Here in the US I don't see much if any Filipinos with a black man.
Try visiting Thailand it's also a great place to visit. I've been to the Philippines many times my ex is filipina but Thai people are different in the way they treat you filipinos are kind too but you will get more respect in Thailand.

Stay away from those dating sites. Best thing to do, visit the Philippines for 30 days, you'll definitely meet a great lady. Especially in the province. OR, if you have a foreigner friend living in the Philippines, he or his lady would probably know a good single Filipina.

They prefer white, but what I can say is you are more likely to find a genuine Filipina as a black man since you are not the preference. When it's a white men all will be interested even the ones with bad intentions but if you black they are interested it's most likely genuine. I have a girlfriend there now and she's amazing. So I am speaking from experience.😊

Maybe the First question should be if they would date a foreigner before asking a preference in race. Nearly everyone asked chose white. Why? Because of the media primarily. White faces are usually shown as the handsome hero. Also what do Filipinos see in person? Mostly white guys visit the Philippines. Old retired sometimes fat white men. Filipinos aren’t exposed to younger good looking black men because they aren’t in the Philippines but that is slowly changing cuz all men are waking up and leaving the USA in search of traditional women. I’d bet if any of these women were exposed to decent men of other races they would be singing a different tune.
You make very valid points, but even if I did find a girlfriend in the Philippines, I wouldn't want to live in that country. I think I'm better off traveling to Japan or South Korea as a black man because I wouldn't mind living in these countries, but I wouldn't want to live in the Philippines forever.
