A lot of Chantal's "romantic" stories are bull, but she's had 2 verified relationships and the way Charlie talks about those men is so dark and unnecessary. She used to call Peetz cute until Chantal moved in with him and now she calls him ugly and speculates about whether he has autism etc. all while she says stuff like "if I had a man" "I would do blah blah blah for my man." @Derogation Not to be anti-feminist (I am a feminist), but I think it's more about the way she uses these women to elevate herself and reassure herself that she's better than them. Because she does the same with Amberlynn Ried's girlfriend Becky. That's not to say that ALR isn't demanding in her relationship with Becky, but Charlie spends so much time talking about how she'd be a much better partner, and would treat her so much better, there's nothing she wouldn't do to support her partner, etc. When I was CG fan after seeing her on Obese to Beast, I, at first, saw her point about how ALR is self-centered in her relationship but then it started to get just...weird. I’ll be completely honest. I follow a lot of the reaction channels. However, recently I feel like some of them are letting the views/attention get to their heads, and they’re getting nasty in the process because they know their followers will stand behind them no matter what. And some of them, because they’re publicly “friends” with those big channels, are just plain snotty. I don’t stand for that and have unsubscribed from a few of them. It gets extremely toxic and I’ve had to “detox” just like you lol. So I get where you’re coming from and agree with you on a lot of points. However I feel like there’s so much you missed, and yes I’ve watched all your videos pertaining to ALR and the Haydur Nation. I don’t blame you though for missing a lot, because there IS a LOT to sift through and takes more than just a few videos to get through it all. I am 57 kg and I workout almost everyday, but I eat chocolate a lot, some days I try my best and eat clean, but even though I workout a lot, because of the fact that I freaking love pasta , cheese , chocolate , cake , pizza , and like joey said : "fried stuff with cheese" I don't lose a lot of weight, I just maintain my normal weight , which is 57 kg ps: I know that this is not a healthy lifestyle, I used to suffer from bulimia,anxiety,low self-esteem , and I am still recovering, however I am doing way better than before and I am actually starting to have confidence and starting to love myself
When people create these cringy "communities" online that are microcosms of 'elite' hierarchies, they're bound to fail. Even if all these Haydurs have each others' backs now, it won't last. Someone's bound to crack and/or backstab. You can't stan forever. Amber has plenty to be critical of, but she's smart in not engaging with these people long-term. This reminds me of the Stanford Prison experiment where a group of regular college boys were divided into 2 groups : prisoners and wardens. Within a week or 2 the experiment had to be cancelled because of the ways in which the wardens and even the professor himself became so terrible to the “prisoners”. Goes to show that it’s human nature that when someone gets too much power and authority over someone in a vulnerable spot, they can become nasty nasty terrible people. That’s what it feels like with these reaction channels :’( Recently I’ve noticed how cruel these channels have become. I don’t love Amberlynn ... she’s hella problematic. Thank you for touching on this topic. I have done several videos on this and nothing has changed. I flag every video that come across my feed from one of them. It is absolutely ridiculous that they are getting paid just to talk about someone else’s weight and the fact that TH-cam hasn’t flagged or deleted these channels is amazing to me. They called out their behavior and eating patterns and moved on...these people though..they just don't stop and they're not going to because its where they get their money. They like to talk about how Amber and Chantal are waisting their lives and complain that they make their money by doing nothing yet that's literally what they're doing when they're sitting at home for a few hours reacting to Amber and Chantal and putting Ads. I also find it hilarious that Michael created merch based off of 2 words he says during Ambers videos. He made merch off of the words "I can't".

I went down this rabbit hole after seeing Charlie and ALR on Obese to Beast, and have gone through process of finding out that there's a whole genre of TH-camrs who have built their entire chanels off reacting to ARL and they all have things in common. - Nitpicking things about her apperance that have nothing to do with her weight like how stylish her clothes, hair, bags, or nails are - they do this in ways that range from lightly catty to down right mean - Comments about the state of her home, in terms of decor or clutter, that are not just comments about no liking it but comparisons to themself and how they absolutely can't stand clutter, they keep their home much more organized, etc. - An obsession with the people in ALRs life from her girlfriends to her roommates, speculation about which of her relationships are on the rocks, criticism of them both for being enablers and not focusing on their own lives, but also for not doing more to "make" ALR lose weight. To the point where some have even started reacting to her roommates' and former girlfriends' videos that have nothing to do with ALR. - Starting each reaction off with some kind of exasperated comment about how "I don't know why I'm watching this!" "I'm so tired of this!" "I wasn't even going to watch this but..." but never making any other kind of content. The theme of all these channels, and why they have such similar problems in commentary that's not about ALRs weight or issues with being manipulative or lying to her audience, is always the same..."I'm better than her." Reacting to ALR is basically outrage porn. The gratification both for the reactors and their audiences comes from congratulating themselves on being better than ALR, and, yes, I include myself in that when I was CG fan. I started off liking her because of her honesty in her Dark side of Obesity video, but then I started watching her reaction videos for the lolz. When she started getting more mean, though, it was when I started questioning her motives for making these videos and my own for watching them...and realized some ugly truths. I do put the reaction channels that are built either mostly or entirely on reaction to ALR on a different level than ones like Obese to Beast. He's a genuine weightloss TH-camr, and is different in that he has diverse content. He has, at most, 1-2 videos about both ALR and Charlie Gold, and then moves onto something else. He also only focuses on her the effect of her weight on her health, and doesn't delve into criticizing other aspects of her life.
Regardless if Destiny cheated or not, I do believe she truly loved Amber at some point. Amber does not have a family, so she hold onto people that offered her love in her life. Destiny found someone she felt was a more compatible partner. Amber makes bank and helps those who have offered positivity to her life because she has the means to do so.
Used to be subscribed to mbp charlie like almost everyone but now I'm only subscribed to Zachary. I couldn't stand all the shade it was getting to be too much.

I think a lot of the reactors you talked about do need to re-evaluate their criticism of Amber and Chantel. Look, I’m all for a good video poking fun at their absolute ridiculousness, but now it’s gotten to the point where it does just become nitpicking every thing that they do. (How they dress, cook, etc) it’s one thing to point out their lies and bullshit but to the extent that it is, they should ease up. I still like other reactors like On Program Situation because she does give some funny commentary and does seem to genuinely want a good ending for Amber and Chantel (it’s not pure hate and negativity)

I don't dig the nitpicking and I stay away from commenting on her or Chantal's looks. I don't like ALR because she is a manipulator -- I know personally the kind of havoc people like ALR has shown herself to be wreak on people's lives. She's manipulative, tone deaf, deeply self absorbed and lacks the self awareness to not put all of that on TH-cam for public consumption. Also, the issue with her touching everything in stores is that she complains that people touch everything in stores and that could make her sick. It's the fact that she does the things she makes a fuss about. And again, lacks the self awareness to check herself on it.

When you type in ALR his videos are among the first suggested and they are still openly available and contributing to the conversation around Amberlin Reid. I’ll be completely honest. I follow a lot of the reaction channels. However, recently I feel like some of them are letting the views/attention get to their heads, and they’re getting nasty in the process because they know their followers will stand behind them no matter what. And some of them, because they’re publicly “friends” with those big channels, are just plain snotty. I don’t stand for that and have unsubscribed from a few of them. It gets extremely toxic and I’ve had to “detox” just like you lol. So I get where you’re coming from and agree with you on a lot of points. However I feel like there’s so much you missed, and yes I’ve watched all your videos pertaining to ALR and the Haydur Nation. I am 57 kg and I workout almost everyday, but I eat chocolate a lot, some days I try my best and eat clean, but even though I workout a lot, because of the fact that I freaking love pasta , cheese , chocolate , cake , pizza , and like joey said : "fried stuff with cheese"
I don't lose a lot of weight, I just maintain my normal weight , which is 57 kg
ps: I know that this is not a healthy lifestyle, I used to suffer from bulimia,anxiety,low self-esteem , and I am still recovering, however I am doing way better than before and I am actually starting to have confidence and starting to love myself

This reminds me of the Stanford Prison experiment where a group of regular college boys were divided into 2 groups : prisoners and wardens. Within a week or 2 the experiment had to be cancelled because of the ways in which the wardens and even the professor himself became so terrible to the “prisoners”. Goes to show that it’s human nature that when someone gets too much power and authority over someone in a vulnerable spot, they can become nasty nasty terrible people. They pick on so many unnecessary things like her nails, her knuckles, her smell (as though they are there) they are honestly acting like grade school bullies. Also, Amber didn't even call him fat. She said he has gained some weight that doesn't make that person automatically fat but of course they would make it a deal.

I used to watch Amberlynn reaction channels, but over time I had to stop watching. These people are bullies who are making money off of the image of a woman that they clearly dislike. They aren’t helping anyone, they are cyberbullies and it makes them seem like really disgusting people.

So happy that someone has called these people out. I used to watch Kicking Geese and she seemed nice but the content was so boring and then they all had that group thing where they all got together and made fun of Amberlynn and I was like wow, this is some bullshit. After that, I really saw clearly just how nasty all these people are. Charlie and Michael can't wipe those scowls off their faces for a moment (and they're both coincidentally the obese ones, but I digress..) Zack is a bully; the Regina kind that will tell you they love your bracelet and then laugh when you turn your back. They can't call each other out because their tower of shit will crumble. They prop each other up with fake "support" of each other, but it's just a cover from criticism that their content is boring, nitpicking bullshit and is, in my opinion, stealing content because MOST of the "reactions" are just dead air because there is NOTHING to react to most of the time. I really can't stand these people when it comes to Amberlynn and Chantal. Charlie claims it's totally valid for her criticize the two because she's losing weight and they aren't. so now that Amberlynn is losing, would it be fair for her to upload Charlie's workout video or her other vlogs and mock the shit out of her? Or how Charlie has now leveled the playing field by finding a video where Chantal talks about not paying rent once.. ok so you're both obese, and both skipped rent (even though Charlie went an entire year without paying), but who is the one who bases their ENTIRE channel on the other? But Chantal says ONE thing and everyone jumps on her for not taking criticism. I didn't realize that criticism was uploading and mocking every moment of a person' videos, instagram pics, tweets, community posts. I get that amber and chantal aren't perfect, but they make their own content and these people are fucking toxic, negative leeches who desperately want to make fun of someone else instead of looking at their own selves. Foul shit.

Thank you for touching on this topic. I have done several videos on this and nothing has changed. I flag every video that come across my feed from one of them. It is absolutely ridiculous that they are getting paid just to talk about someone else’s weight and the fact that TH-cam hasn’t flagged or deleted these channels is amazing to me. Because if Amber goes into a depression behind this and hurts herself it’s gonna fall back on TH-cam. Because it’s been going on for way too long.

Anyway, you said a lot of what I was trying to say the other day. I stand by that I don’t think Amber needs to be criticised by anyone, her life and her failings are her own business, and she already has to live with the consequences of that, and that is what I am so against, and why I was upset to see yet another person making videos about her and her problems.
Seeing Amber apologise for making a comment about one of the reactor’s weight, when they literally make their livings from talking about hers is sickening.
Please continue to call out the bullying, the hypocrisy and the lack of care about another human’s well being, but I truly think Amber would benefit from just not having any attention at all, she’d have space to focus on herself if she just wasn’t acknowledged.

Out of curiosity I occasionally still watched MBP and YDHB even though I realized their nastiness and negativity was fucked up. You bring to light basic humanity that people seem to have forgotten in their quest to degrade and police Amber. I think a lot of it is just projection and bullying with the ones who are literally overweight but crap on Amberlynn for putting her journey online. I went down this rabbit hole after seeing Charlie and ALR on Obese to Beast, and have gone through process of finding out that there's a whole genre of TH-camrs who have built their entire chanels off reacting to ARL and they all have things in common.
- Nitpicking things about her apperance that have nothing to do with her weight like how stylish her clothes, hair, bags, or nails are - they do this in ways that range from lightly catty to down right mean
- Comments about the state of her home, in terms of decor or clutter, that are not just comments about no liking it but comparisons to themself and how they absolutely can't stand clutter, they keep their home much more organized, etc.
- An obsession with the people in ALRs life from her girlfriends to her roommates, speculation about which of her relationships are on the rocks, criticism of them both for being enablers and not focusing on their own lives, but also for not doing more to "make" ALR lose weight. To the point where some have even started reacting to her roommates' and former girlfriends' videos that have nothing to do with ALR.
- Starting each reaction off with some kind of exasperated comment about how "I don't know why I'm watching this!" "I'm so tired of this!" "I wasn't even going to watch this but..." but never making any other kind of content.
The theme of all these channels, and why they have such similar problems in commentary that's not about ALRs weight or issues with being manipulative or lying to her audience, is always the same..."I'm better than her."
Reacting to ALR is basically outrage porn. The gratification both for the reactors and their audiences comes from congratulating themselves on being better than ALR, and, yes, I include myself in that when I was CG fan. I started off liking her because of her honesty in her Dark side of Obesity video, but then I started watching her reaction videos for the lolz. When she started getting more mean, though, it was when I started questioning her motives for making these videos and my own for watching them...and realized some ugly truths.
I do put the reaction channels that are built either mostly or entirely on reaction to ALR on a different level than ones like Obese to Beast. He's a genuine weightloss TH-camr, and is different in that he has diverse content. He has, at most, 1-2 videos about both ALR and Charlie Gold, and then moves onto something else. He also only focuses on her the effect of her weight on her health, and doesn't delve into criticizing other aspects of her life.
Regardless if Destiny cheated or not, I do believe she truly loved Amber at some point. Amber does not have a family, so she hold onto people that offered her love in her life. Destiny found someone she felt was a more compatible partner. Amber makes bank and helps those who have offered positivity to her life because she has the means to do so.
Used to be subscribed to mbp charlie like almost everyone but now I'm only subscribed to Zachary. I couldn't stand all the shade it was getting to be too much.

I think a lot of the reactors you talked about do need to re-evaluate their criticism of Amber and Chantel. Look, I’m all for a good video poking fun at their absolute ridiculousness, but now it’s gotten to the point where it does just become nitpicking every thing that they do. (How they dress, cook, etc) it’s one thing to point out their lies and bullshit but to the extent that it is, they should ease up. I still like other reactors like On Program Situation because she does give some funny commentary and does seem to genuinely want a good ending for Amber and Chantel (it’s not pure hate and negativity)

I don't dig the nitpicking and I stay away from commenting on her or Chantal's looks. I don't like ALR because she is a manipulator -- I know personally the kind of havoc people like ALR has shown herself to be wreak on people's lives. She's manipulative, tone deaf, deeply self absorbed and lacks the self awareness to not put all of that on TH-cam for public consumption. Also, the issue with her touching everything in stores is that she complains that people touch everything in stores and that could make her sick. It's the fact that she does the things she makes a fuss about. And again, lacks the self awareness to check herself on it.

When you type in ALR his videos are among the first suggested and they are still openly available and contributing to the conversation around Amberlin Reid. He’s apart of her world until he decides to dismiss himself. Let’s not pretend that history does not impact the present and even still two months does not qualify as history.
