This was an absolute awesome video, i found out about this stuff the hard way a while back. But honestly the thing that surprised me the most, since i played a DH most of the time. Was that life on hit and lifesteal paired really make a HUGE difference. I had almost 1k@ 50k hp and a lot of armor and dmg. But since i didn't have any life on hit and lifesteal i simply could not keep my life up, so i went out got a new off hand with life on hit and life steal and it changed everything!
Been wondering Kripp, since MF has been revealed to affect prefixes/affixes on items, are you planning on stacking or recommend stacking MF for people trying to farm on a WW barb or farming at all.
@Limrasson Which boss are you referring too? Belial or Ghom? Ghom is easy with overpower 's dmg reflect trigger LOH. With Belial you just need enough defense to survive 2 meteor, you can leech your life back with LOH afterward
Hey, Kripp! In case you run out of video ideas: could you do something on item pricing? I have a real hard time finding what stats are relevant for items that are not my class, and I often find an item that I think is good and when I try to sell it I fail miserably. I'm aware that you made a video on the AH already, but one for this particular point would be very helpful, I believe.
Kripp, you and your friends on stream are very entertaining and fun to listen to. It's a refreshing change to be able to watch people who take the game seriously but have a very chill attitude about it. I really can't wait for you all to move onto another game though, D3 is boring as fuck and I just can't take any more of it. As soon as you move on I'll have your stream open all day, but D3 is dead to me now.
He made this video a year ago. A year ago most people had around 30k dps. Some people would get up to 100k dps, but they usually didn't have a good amount of defense. When your dps is lower, like that, lifesteal is less effective, but life on hit is independent of damage and dependent only on procs, making it the more viable way to replenish life back then.
Thank you for your advice, It was really helpful, i was unable to do act 3 with this build,and i with to a lower dos life on hit weapon on my 2nd hand, i was able to finish act 3 and 4 in 3 hours, just beat the game in inferno after watching this video
I have all the same defensive stats as you, about 40k DPS. the only thing that is off is LoH which mine is at 800. Do you think that is cutting it? Becuase I feel like I am haing some trouble in act 3. Thanks in advance dude

I've never properly understood why people go for life on hit as opposed to life steal especially once you start doing high damage as it's percentage based and not a fixed amount. Dot affects such as rend give you life steal when the dot ticks but I'm not sure if life on hit does. It certainly does not imply that it does or should as you didn't "hit" them when the damage was applied. This is very useful when frozen as you still a lot of life back when you're not actually hitting anything.

Why do you take that rune for Warth of berserker? Why not the last one? In case your dam is not that higth, sometimes you need a way more than 15 seconds to finish the elite pack... Am i wrong?
Right okay I think I'm getting the main difference now thanks. I also didn't take into account non crits, if you're hitting a lot but with a low crit % LoH would give you more overall as it's not % based (so even the low hits would still give the full amount which would be higher than the % given from LS). But this goes back to my original question of wouldn't even a high crit speced WW build end up getting more back from LS once the % of damage goes way beyond what you can get from LoH?
Only if you want great great gear. If you make sacrifices, mostly on the DPS side, you can start Whirlwinding for probably 10 mil (most of that being your weapon)
Kripp, I have about 7.7% life leech, but whats better LOH or leech? doesnt Leech get better after a certain amount of dps? Plz answer coz I want to buy some new weapons, but I already got a couple of nice ones with leech on it already, so dont want to waste my gold or money

boost, while i think this is a very smart idea, I have always thought that all resist is more important than vitality. kripperian has a crapton of vitalty on his pieces at (150 each) but his all resist is pretty low, a lot of his gear has only 50 AR. implacing more of an emphasis on AR/armor than vitality/armor because my goal is to be able to stand in all aoe(lasers,molten, azmodan's pools) without dying. and kripperian still dies sometimes so his defense is yet to be maximized.
Also with alot less dps, and focusing on defense it will naturally go slower wich means your WoB will go off CD more or less every time you hit a champ pack. thats also something you can think about when you are looking for gear.
1364 str 723 vit 800 resist all buffed (1200 phy resist) and 40k dps buffed and doing fine in act 3. I have have 28k life but the only packs that I have issues with is molten ranged elites and occasionally skull cleavers if I'm stupid
How do people go against kiting packs? They are rather annoying with this build Once they just all kite me in different directions, sometimes I get fury starved

I think the biggest thing you missed is the 50% crit chance you have. Unless you use a Mighty Weapon, you are going to run out of fury so fast, unless of course you too have 50% crit chance.
Another recommendation taht I have for the people taht do not have kripperian's similar gear is to get both armor passives: nerves of steel and tough as nails along with weapon master, crit dmg is not as important as crit chance, and weapon master gives you 15% crit chacne which is neded. both armor passives will boost ur armor 1k at the cost of 5 crt chance and 10 crit dmg. also skip the following mobs: raping phasebeasts, bloated fatty malacors in arreat crater, and demonic tremors.
I'm able to do mp5 hc key and uber runs with zero life on hit and purely rely on 2.90 life steal to stay alive and rarely go below 50% health. While another party member being a monk who only has life on hit is constantly spiking down to 10% if not lower and virtually ever mob pack they have to run away or pop an immunity ability or they would definitely die. The monk is geared to the same standard I am so the main difference is purely LoH vs life steal. So why do people use LoH at all?
With defensive stats like his and 26k DPS I am able to farm act 3 for 2 hours with 1 or 2 champion packs skipped. The total budget of the equip I bought is 6 millions. I got a bit lucky on a couple of pieces but if you watch carefully the AH you can get decent gear enough to farm act 3 without problem with this exact build.
i have 64k dps, 7.9 life steal and and 889 life on hit and ive found that its really hard to do a3 with any less loh/lifesteal which is a shame because i want more crit dmg for high dps figures
30 million is not high. you check the AH house and based on the price, you can either start a few million higher and take a chance and make more gold or go less and buyers will buy yours over the other same items. this was a hot way to make gold but seems like everyone is doing it so you dotn see underpriced gear much anymore

You got the stats to do it, but I think you need to play more carefully. The part from bastion keep to siege breaker is worst for barbarian because there are huge amount of enemies and mostly ranged. I got through it by just pulling smaller amounts of enemies and killing them. Everytime I ran in the middle of a huge pack I get attacked by 4-6 melees and tons of ranged attacks. Try taking it a bit easier and you should do it okay.
How do you know he was the creator? There is no way to know for sure who made it. Popularization was likely due to the big streamers, then made obvious by krip.

The problem with pure defensive barb is when the bosses enrage. They cannot kill me, but I cannot kill them (Belial) solo fast enough before they blew the whole screen... so.. back to finding better weapons I guess.
@thelimdul84 get the Thrive on Chaos rune on wotb and you are cc immun the hole fight. and you can avoid arcane, get the hurricane rune for ww and boots with +10-12% movespeed and you should be fine with your stats. mine are way lower and i can farm akt 2 and the first half of akt 3 easy.

I'm big into the farming gear, but it just doesn't have the same appeal as it did in D2. I guess I shouldn't have had my hopes set so high for D3 after I was disappointed with SC2 and Cata...
Kripp, the reason I watch your vids is so that you get ad revenue. I do this, because I actually feel really, really bad that you spent so much time playing this game, and that all of that effort was for nothing because this game will never be fixed. Its not about the damage increase. The only way he is able to keep his fury up is by crit hitting. with no crits, fury would be at zero all the time. look at the runes and passives. Its all around crits and with battle rage withe the rune "Into the fray" How can you have fury to use skills if you don't have fury?
I breeze through act 2 with 600 res, 35k hp, 5k armour. but I have 1k loh, 3% life steal, and 1700 life after kill. I'm at 47.5% crit, 449% Increased crit damage & 75k dps.
perhaps you will be right, but gw2 is not released yet so we don't know for sure. in any case, blizzard was afraid, so obviously they think its going to be good!
my ww barb, 36k health, zero lifesteal, 34.5 crit chance, 285 crit dmg, 800-900 all resist, 1101 life on hit and im able to do act 3 so fine, i nuke the mobs in 5 seconds or less when i pop bezerker, I dont even know why this video is necesssary, if people are copying ur build and are dying its pretty obvious that they should get more defense, thats why i did when i first tested out your build.
The fact is: you go defensive, you go 'boring mode'. And as long as you are 'farming' wich is by definition boring as hell, you will get overwhelmed by boredom.
I got 35k health 40kdps 400-500 resists unbuffed 6934 armour with just the enchantress and I can do act three clears. You just have to know when to use your wrath or just run around for days with sprint and let the tornados hurt the elites as your running from them then when they get low enough to where wrath will rape them without you dieing, use it or even use it while running away. Kite, don't always gotta be boss and face tank shit.

Everyone should try "Overpower" if you're having trouble. You can either use a crit rune, or 30% damage resist.

Kripparian i have 54k HP, 600 Resists, 9k Armor 14k dmg and i can't do it ACT3, ACT 3 is too hard i think so what do you think what can i do?? :\
i had like 5k armor, around 650 resis, 7% lifesteal, and a little over 50k dmg. worked fine for act 3! :)

i have 900 al ress but mi armor sucks... like 5.5k... i wanna have something like 7.5-8k.... what can i do ? i don t wanna use a shield... :-/

@thelimdul84 get the Thrive on Chaos rune on wotb and you are cc immun the hole fight. and you can avoid arcane, get the hurricane rune for ww and boots with +10-12% movespeed and you should be fine with your stats. mine are way lower and i can farm akt 2 and the first half of akt 3 easy.
I'm surprised Kripp is still playing this. I remember when he said he would quit D3 before he'd farm softcore. The irony! I'm big into the farming gear, but it just doesn't have the same appeal as it did in D2. I guess I shouldn't have had my hopes set so high for D3 after I was disappointed with SC2 and Cata...

I do this, because I actually feel really, really bad that you spent so much time playing this game, and that all of that effort was for nothing because this game will never be fixed.
I respect the huge amount of work/passion that you put into your D3 gaming and videos, but I feel so much pity for you because that the endgame will never suitable.
how u get 550 crit dmg if u got 189 on dagger + 100 on hammer... where another 300 come from...

Its not about the damage increase. The only way he is able to keep his fury up is by crit hitting. with no crits, fury would be at zero all the time. look at the runes and passives. Its all around crits and with battle rage withe the rune "Into the fray"
How can you have fury to use skills if you don't have fury?
I breeze through act 2 with 600 res, 35k hp, 5k armour. but I have 1k loh, 3% life steal, and 1700 life after kill. I'm at 47.5% crit, 449% Increased crit damage & 75k dps.

WW barb looks a bit dull to play. It looks like you just leap, spin around until monsters die, and repeat.
good tips kripp. Im clearing act 3 with 39k hp mid 800s all resist and 22k hp. I can clear everything but it takes me 2 hours.
not playing the game doesn't prevent me from watching a few diablo 3 videos to see what's up.
my ww barb, 36k health, zero lifesteal, 34.5 crit chance, 285 crit dmg, 800-900 all resist, 1101 life on hit and im able to do act 3 so fine, i nuke the mobs in 5 seconds or less when i pop bezerker, I dont even know why this video is necesssary, if people are copying ur build and are dying its pretty obvious that they should get more defense, thats why i did when i first tested out your build.
The fact is: you go defensive, you go 'boring mode'. And as long as you are 'farming' wich is by definition boring as hell, you will get overwhelmed by boredom.

I got 35k health 40kdps 400-500 resists unbuffed 6934 armour with just the enchantress and I can do act three clears. You just have to know when to use your wrath or just run around for days with sprint and let the tornados hurt the elites as your running from them then when they get low enough to where wrath will rape them without you dieing, use it or even use it while running away. Kite, don't always gotta be boss and face tank shit.
