- This is the intro scene of the European version of Sengoku Majin Goshogun, which is called Macron 1. The version is different from the US in the sense that it kept true to the original content. The US Macron 1 was molested as the footage was cut and edited to such a degree that there was hardly anything decent left. Being a 80's cartoon it might look a bit too simple to some of you, but older people might have some good memories of it. ^_^

I've been looking for this show for the last 25 years. I was only 4, but I always remembered the "M-m-m-maco" part of the intro. So glad I finally found it.
Same, I vividly remember that part of the song as well. Good times! Now I just need some chocolate nut muffins and I'm back in the 80's!

Been looking for this intro for 30 years and I've finally found it. I loved this show as a kid and this brings back so much memories! Wow 👌🏽
Oh god. I didnt realize Peter Cullen did the intro voiceover!! That makes this even better. Macron 1, Inframan, and Transformers were amazing. Kids these days are missing out on some AMAZING stuff.

When I was a teenager my family and I took a summer vacation to Mississippi where this aired that year, then disappeared, and ever since then I've been trying to convince people this show really did exist. Everybody thinks I'm talking about Saber Rider and I'm like "No! It was called Macron One.''

I watched this series in VHS (guess how old I am) and I remember it because it used Micahel Jackson' songs for its insert music. It was awesome, as my family is very fond of MJ music.

No, it's Robert V. Baron. But his voice sounds almost the same as the voice of Peter Cullen.

cartoons like this and saber rider opened my mind as a child, helping me build many lego robots in the mid 90`s... what days :( ... and they were on tv, so it was easy to watch them both... today when i open the tv a hardly stop mylsefl of throwing it from the window ...

i remember seeing this as a kid. this was before we had internet like we do today, so information was super scares. this was one of those things you wanted to know more about not because you liked it but because you wanted to know wtf is going on and how many ep there was etc. i only had two and they were on vhs tapes and were in no specific order

I've been looking for this for ages. This is one of those obscure cartoon of the 80s. I can't even remember exactly what the title was. I only vaguely remember Macro 1 or something like that and the google and youtube search turn up nothing.
I remember my Nan in Britain getting cable which was a new expensive option to get more than five channels on the television, and she bought this on VHS video tape. I watched it as a child and loved the screen with the song Beat It! Just Beat it! It gave me goosebumps, so exciting. Also I love the beginning scene where a boy has to escape from some scary things.
I was a little kid when this show was on. I didn't actually understand most of the plot, I just got extremely excited whenever this intro played. It took me forever to find the show again because I remembered that it was called "Macklor" :)

I didn't know that the European version of Goshogun does exist! I think both export versions of Goshogun (canonically appropriate French and oh no-neutered American) have the Saban dub. Brother Jadon really loves Chogokins, especially Goshogun.

I saw this on the videotape when I was young. I skip forward from The Little Mermaid to the 80s cartoon in 2004. So many of my childhood memories! The voice sounds like Optimus Prime from The Transformers.
