The idea is nice if you got an old tapper and you prefers to use with this purpose in stead of sharpening it and using it for what is made for. Otherwise you can buy a screw extractor that is a commercial tool made exclusively for this purpose ;)

Bolt extractors are crap, never in 40yrs have I seen one actually get a tight snapped bolt out , this guy could probably have hammered the square end instead, my preferred extraction tool is a torx bit hammered in

Bastava ter a chave Allen do tamanho correto, pois a cabeça do parafuso não estava espanada!!!

I just finished this exact same repair. I tried heat, torx bit, flat head pounded in, nothing worked. I drilled out the center 4mm and was able to use a bolt extractor.

Its a waste of tapping tools instead on other way & normally l use star socket hex to open the stud coz its much easier & save a lot of time rather than grinding the tools if u all dont believe u all can try use it or slightly bigger in size of the star hex
