that temple monk looks fantastic. joytoy (even with the prices going up) still the top of the game as far as listening to their customers and trying to improve on their product. Not even close when you see other companies raising their prices as well but reusing everything for almost every figure. Thanks for the video buddy! enjoy your weekend.

Great video and reviews as usual from you Skelly. JoyToy really have done a quality up grade on the knee joints. The monk is my favourite figure (in fact he is my all time favourite figure from any of the JoyToy ranges). 18:11
Yes! The monk is the best of the Jianghu that I own. Great look and articulation, Joytoy fixed the knee problem, and good options for the look. Definitely up there for one of the contenders of the year!

Just got Emperors Champion, so stoked because he's my favourite out of them all.
A brilliant release! Really happy with how he turned out.
Picked up the marshal for a great price! Love him to bits! Looks awesome with my BT crusader squad, sword brethren, and blade guard!

Hahaha spreading those wushu legs to the limit! I found when I did that his crotch area got loose. Now he's got a loose crotch (that all must sound pretty weird for the uninitiated lol). I wonder if Joytoy originally glued the crotch to the T bar in the hip. Either way, it does give him more range of movement

Finally got my Marshal Baldeckrath opened this weekend and absolutely love this one. Surprised how under the radar this figure is because he is truly a good piece. Shoulder sculpts, leg greaves and Skeleton backpack are insanely good and give a unique Medieval look to this BT armor.
Yes, agreed! Both Marshal and Emperor's champ are great additions to BT. Marshal could even pass off as a non-40k character in a medieval setting

These are great figures, so it's awesome to see that others are able to get them. I'll be doing a separate vid featuring the Marshal as I have an upgrade to showcase
Great video. I believe that the lore on the Marshall is the skeleton on his back is not an enemy it’s the bones of one of the first creators or high figures of the black Templars faction. They still bring his bones into battle it’s basically honoring him. I could be wrong though I don’t play black Templars and I don’t know their lore but I saw something about it in a video from another channel.
It's not, actually: that's just the corpse of a psychic null, worked into the iron halo, as an extra layer of defense against witchery (which is a thing that actually works, not just superstition).
The skull mounted to the backpack of High Marshal Helbrecht (a figure JoyToy hasn't tackled yet) is the one that has personal significance to the chapter, but it's not a figure *from* the chapter, it's the skull of the navigator that led Helbrecht to Armageddon.

Awesome in-depth review on these guys. I'm all in on those Martial arts dudes as I grew up watching the genre. That Templar 40k set specifically this dude looks bad ass! Kaneda! Same man. I would watch a load of kung fu flicks with my dad, and in school we shared video tapes of those films and anime as they were a lot more difficult to get back then. Haha nice one! The martial arts figures are turning out to be a great line. I like the Warhammer stuff as well, but you'd have to be rich to collect them all. Seems like JT is releasing images of something new every other week.
Yeah, the four Jianghu I have are great. These two are already an improvement over what we got initially. It's difficult to keep up with all these new releases. I was doing the next 1/18 toy news, but I know new official solicitations are due this week. So much stuff!
That’s why a lot of people just stick with a chapter they like, as long as you stay away from Ultramarines you should be fine.
That Jianghu is a great line with more to come, according to Joytoy. Tons of period/Dynasty figs in 1/12 & 1/6. None in 1/18 until now. I don't count Water Margin. Those figs are terrible.
Such a great line! I think the monk guy is one of the best this year. If there was an award for the best to pose, he would win in my eyes. I very nearly got a water margin figure, but not heard great things lol
I like new scrulpt of Marshal's head minus sloppy paint job and that crazy? eye brow?! yea.... gonna have to repaint some. also nice to let us know arm shoulder joint improvement.
overall I love all the new shoulder armor plate plus skeleton. I am only 1-2 days away from my templars too! thanks for the reiview!
Cheers buddy! Yeah, the Marshal's headsculpt was definitely a selling point. Although not perfect, he still looks bloody cool! When compared to the first 2.0 shoulders, these are a nice improvement. You got some awesome figures to look forward to!

When Games Workshop releases The Old World game a year from now and if they license it and JoyToy gets the rights I would like to give them another chance, with 40K they just couldn't hold my interest for long I mean the overall look of the figures is great but I find the quality still pretty cheap for the prices they ask, I also feel they stuck with the Empire by releasing mostly space marines.
As with all their releases, joytoy have been improving things over time. I'm very happy with what we're now getting
The thing is that Space Marines are what sell.
Do you have issues with joints breaking. I got a fig yesterday and the arm snapped off as soon as I moved it
put a figure in hot water before posing, you can also try to polish a bit the shoulder joints

I've had one issue with breakage, my Bladeguard veteran shoulder joint. They had issues. Not had any elbow joint issues though. Alex is right, good to heat up joints if they're stiff. You can use a hairdryer as well, for about 40 seconds or so. Which figure was it?
@@SkellywagsTV wish me luck boys just got the replacement fig. Got him in a bowl of steamy hot water. Given him a bit of a soak.
HE CAME OUT GREAT! The hot water worked like a charm. Still kinda nervous to move the thigh joints but it's not the end of the world.

pls post them next to the crusader squad.....they seem shorter
I'll try and post a pic in a bit. Marshal is about the same size, if anything a bit taller. Emperor's champ is the tallest

Side armour? You mean the side skirting? It's a bit high due to the belt, but I barely noticed to be honest. We need those extra heads, hands etc! Joytoy do it!
