ChrisFix Hey Chris, huge fan of the channel, and I've been watching since 2013. just yesterday I bought my first car, a 1979 corvette coupe. I got it for a steal of a price at 1000$! it runs a bit choppy but no rust and it still has all of the original parts. I just wanted to say that your videos helped me out a TON with the entire buying process and I'm sure I'll use them a lot more in repairing and modifying my car in the future. Keep up the amazing videos! :)
Yea I watched a video of yours from about 2 or 3 years ago just the other day. I must say, your quality has only gone up! Even your videos 2 years ago are better than your 3 years ago, 1 year ago and 2 years ago it repeats. You've learnt so much and done so much to make your videos better, and it truly shows! Solid car nut, and a solid videographer.
These videos are no-bull, relevant, simple and fun to watch. They also have just the right amount of editing (and no rubbish techno music with barely audible voices). Excellent work, ChrisFix.
Spend the money on a good seat, your body will thank you for it. Upgrade your harness at the same time to get maximum safety. Keep up the good work Chris
The respect for Chris is because of his extensive knowledge at such a young age. You would expect this kind of knowledge, to come from a guy into cars for the last thirty to forty years. This is why I, (a sixty year old man), has so much respect for Mr. Chris Fix! Keep it up Chris, your love of cars, as well as the love and appreciation you have for your parents, is why I have nothing but complete respect for you young man! Wishing you nothing but the best for 2020!!!!
4:45 THANK YOU! I've been reading up on different sport seats and everyone keeps talking about different angles, spine compression, and I'm just like _"What even are you saying??"_ This helped so much
Razvan Radu same here he's super genuine and I love that about him! he's a channel I really look up to chrisfix. He's the same off camera as he is on camera! I'm 19 and I wish more you tubers were like him.

Some say if you're early enough he will respond to your comment, and that he carries around a bottle of soapy wooder around with him everywhere, all we know is he's call ChrisFix.
I don't own a car, and I don't know how to drive, but I love listening to you talking about the tools you use, the materials that you're working with, aspects to consider for performance, comfort and safety. These reasons I listed are what made me subscribe to your channel way back in 2016. Thanks for being a nice guy and sharing your knowledge and encouragement in doing a job yourself for your car.
Haha, I don't have any intention of doing 95% of the things of his videos... but, I watched his super clean video and loved the style and information in the videos so much that I just watch them for enjoyment.
A cool upgrade I think for your Mustang would be a MOMO or similar racing wheel and quick release setup. Would completely change the feel of the wheel, look much cooler, and be better for grip with the amount of turning you do while drifting.
Great Video. Most TH-cam videos produced by younger people seem to center around them trying to be a star. Your video was professional, educational, well organized , concise and not self centered. Very well done.
I subscribed 5 min after your how to pick a drift car , came out , And I'm glad I did that cause you pretty much put in detail what I am going to do on my first car .
dude I think its awessome that you actually respond to the people in the comments. Props my boy, not many youtubers do that. Also, love your videos dude
Dude your channel is perfect for anything I need , I just found you yesterday and I've been binge watching your stuff . I started by finding a good video for how good does a fuel cleaner work and man , I got hooked to your channel from it. Edit- I also LOVE how clear you speak and get your point across . You don't rush the video and you don't hype it up . You sound genuine and like you're truly passionate and that made me absolutely love your channel
Hi Chris, I hope you read this comment. Because of your videos I realized that what I like the most are cars. I really want to learn more, but I don't know how, or where to go. So I was wondering if you could tell me how did you manage to learn mechanics. Thanks for all the content, you're awesome, keep going with the mustang 😍
Do you own a car? if so, just grab some basic hand tools and get into it. With youtube these day's it's extremely easy because you can almost always find a application specific video to the job your doing. And don't listen to the tool snobs, cheap tools do the job just fine. You can decide for yourself once you get into it if it's worth spending the extra on tools that feel nicer to use. The only hand tools I spent extra on was some nice ratchet's that were on sale last summer (20-50 bucks per ratchet), all my sockets are still mastercraft (sort of the Canadian equivalent to harbour freight. Oh, and if you like your hands\head, make sure any vehicle you get under isn't going to fall over. If it's jacked up and you can push the car over with your hand, it's not secure. It's also a good idea to use jackstands, though i'll admit I don't use them as often as I probably should.
Joaquin Llamazares best way honestly is just to tear shit apart and put it back together.you probaly heard that before but i never learned anything when people try to teach my.best learning i had was after i bout a old beater truck and flipped it,i hadda do everything on that truck.only thing you can fo is fix it,so your kinda forced to learn.learned wire harnesses, replaced engine tranny whole exaust took dashboard, headliner whole interior out and redid it.never did anything on cars before that few years ago.even lowered suspention.just google anything your having trouble with and use your head, after you get over that mindset of "i cant do it" or "its too hard" youll be amazed what you can do.

Love it love it love it! Do I need racing seats? Absolutely not, but I still really enjoy the quality and depth of these videos so I'll watch it anyway :P
Really well done video, no fluff, to the point and informative. My career is in a specialized and technical field, and I can bear to watch this and feel properly informed. Great facts and safety intel. I have a modded Smart 451 and have been considering throwing in a drivers seat and have wondered about the finer points. Well done without over promoting and detailed while quick. This is the only comment I have made on TH-cam in years, literally at least over 5 years. Comments are subject to opinion, which unlike facts carry no weight, many which are not very contributive to learning something. Like what you are doing, thanks for the efforts.
This was a very helpful video thank you. I've actually been had these questions dying to be asked for years I'm glad that somebody asked of them in one simple video going to slap some of these racing seats in the my project car
This shop in the video was very friendly & helpful, most performance shops in my area, you have too order the seat you CAN'T try them before you buy so it's a gamble. I always liked Sparco,Recaro, & Bride, Imo I feel like they make the highest quality racing seats, everything else is just..... "cheap knockoffs"!
+Caleb Dinis It looks like the seats Chris got from Stable Energies are the OMP WRC Fibreglass Race Seat, which they price at $799 USD. www.stableenergies.com/OMP-WRC-Fiberglass-Race-Seat/productinfo/OMP%2DWRC%2DR/
I’m late as hell but this is a huge help because I bought seats sight unseen and put them in my auto cross car. VERY hard and tight seats and I’m a small build dude. They’re FIA approved fix-back and help keeping me planted in sharp turns but had a lot of issues on fitment with the sliders. The driver one broke but in my seating position so it’s cool with me but not for everyone else haha.
One tip for teaching someone about “dedicated track seats” coming from a race car driver, you should be able to see over your halo or headrest by turning your head. You should be eye level with the top of the headrest!

Nothing beats a good seat, those side bolster would really help with the cramp you might get when holding yourself in place with your legs during lateral Gs
ExCaliburger I don't think so. I had a 1992 Ford thunder bird that I bought some racing seats for, and they had that tilt option on them just can't remember what brand they were.
Hi Chrisfix. I was wondering If U could install a kilswitch on the driftstang I am currently looking to install such a Killswitchpanel including startbutton on a Bmw E30 driftcar with M30 B35 engine. Also did U remove the steeringlockpin on Ur car already? Because when drifting and stalling it will lock and only hold the angle it has and possibly run U into a wall if U can't correct. I and most drifters remove the steering lock pin because of safety. Together with that on a daily A killswitch would be nice against thieves. And or a hidden fuel cuttoff switch. Love Ur video's good content and nice and organized very helpful. Please reply :)
If you don't take out the key from the run position (which you shouldn't) your wheel will not lock. Even in case of stalling the key will keep in the run position.

Oh yeaaa!!!!
ChrisFix I have the same seats in my 240
ChrisFix will you put a roll cage in it

Any idea where to get non racing stock replacement seats? Or how easy is it to get the stock seats redone? Thank you. :)
When I did this and took out my seat I didnt find $20. Did I do something wrong?
haha, just not as lucky. Try the other side!
Treyton Jakat did you check your blinker fluid first?
Put 20bucks under the seat before you start it
That means your seats were taken out before

Don't you have to make a custom roll cage? I don't think you can just buy one and screw it in.
Actually you buy a kit for a rollcage, and you install it
Just another reason why I follow you. You take daunting tanks and make them real life happenings

If you sit in the seats, close your eyes, and make race-car noises it is basically the same thing.
Bolt them to a bench and you have a couch. Or gut an office chair and put the wheels from it on the chair. Boom. racing seat office chair.

Nothing beats a good seat, those side bolster would really help with the cramp you might get when holding yourself in place with your legs during lateral Gs
Do these seats have the option to bend over, to give the rear passengers space to get in/out?
ExCaliburger I don't think so. I had a 1992 Ford thunder bird that I bought some racing seats for, and they had that tilt option on them just can't remember what brand they were.
No, and it's better to remove the back seats for weight reduction. :)
ExCaliburger yes a bunch of companies make reclining seat and as he mentioned you can also get sliders
Sliders and reclining back are gay, you want hardcore
Yes, there are reclining bucket seats as well as fixed back bucket seats (which are shown in the video).
i like your video keep up the good work
Thanks Adolfo!
Watching this because I actually need racing seats for my '88 Fiero GT. It will be seeing autoX tracks in time.
Michaelhc4l Yeah man... Agreed.. i had a car license but i dont have my own car...
If you don't take out the key from the run position (which you shouldn't) your wheel will not lock. Even in case of stalling the key will keep in the run position.
Pardon my French but I literally have watched all of your videos. Your voice is fucking godly. Keep it up chris!
I own a new 7 series... i dont dare experiment on it,,, but i love watching your videos!!!
