That looks like it would be perfect for my 3 gal rimless. I have Penn-Plax equipment that is 30 years old and still working great!
Some of their stuff is really good.
I remember Penn-Plax from my childhood in the 1970's. WOOLWORTHS carried Penn-Plax in the live pet department.

I have 3 Cascade Canisters all work well. I did get a HOB but designed for a 40 gallon and it worked well. I wouldnt say the HOBs were better then an aqua clear or a tidal... But mine was also cheap and worked pretty well and also had alot of room for media since the cartridges were kinda crap.
I didn’t even think about comparing to an AC, now I’m thinking……
I had a Cascade 200 on my 20 tall and it quit working after 3 months....i replaced it with an Aquaclear 50 and it works great!

I think I ordered all your panda Corrys today lol. Q: Can they eat any kind of fish food? I use Betta pellets, dehydrated bloodworms, and dehydrated Daphnia.
I would not use any dehydrated food for fish, I have had issues in the past. I would look for high-quality sinking food like North Fin Kelp Wafers or Dr. Bassleer XXL green, pumpkin or Better Tabs. Use code MFR12 at www.kjeaquatics.com, he has both foods.

I have one from AquariumCoop looks exactly the same but different brand. Have it on my 6.5 cube for my betta. It works great and has great flow control.

The price is right.This filter should work fine in the five or 10 gallon tank.
It did work great actually! Today the tank is very clean, some detritus under the plants, but most is gone.
I think I would use it on my 10 gal. Shrimp tanks with an inlet filter

About 6 months
I had 4 of those in my WOOT! shopping cart but backed out! Glad you reviewed it and it shows that it works pretty well. WOOT! has excellent customer service so if it sucked, they would have given you an instant refund! Will you add it to your Betta tank?
No, I think it may have too much flow.
Yeah I had some of those filters I never buy them again they all leak around the motor with the o-ring I think they would be a good filter if they can solve that leaking problem

I use a Cascade 100, I think it's a 100, I would have to check the box to be sure. 🤷♀️. Sorry. I do have the box somewhere. LOL. I digress. Anyways, it's for a 30-40 gallon tank. I have it on my 20 Long and it works really well except in the opposite corner from it. I placed it on the back glass in one corner and it works great. It would work better for the whole tank placed on the center of tank. I had to place it where I did because of the hood and light. The hood only had a spot big enough for the filter on either side of the tank on the back glass. I've finally bought a new glass top and a kick ass light but I just haven't had time to switch them out yet. OK. Truth....I'm a little bit lazy. LOL.

Did Penn Plax buy out Whisper? That looks like a mini whisper knockoff. I loved the Whisper filters back in the 80’s and 90’s.

20 gallons an hour? not too impressive. Aquaclear 110 is for up to a 110-gallon tank and pushes 500 gallons per hour. But for $8 - I guess, not bad! :-)
