    Love this series, only thing I can comment on so far is to try and stay away from car washes because they can damage your paint. Those brushes clean up a lot of dirt daily and it can scratch your paint

      Agreed but the paint on this car is not in the best shape so I don’t worry about it.

    I have the same car with a couple minor differences. Z28, same year, same color and also an auto :( Nice to see someone giving some tlc to an old fbody, hard to beat the value of these old lt1's. You motivate me to give mine the attention it deserves. I'll be tuning in, keep up the good work man!

    I bought one of these cars a while back and like it. I remember in the 90s riding in a friend's 95 Corvette and he punched into it and that thing left pretty hard.

    I got a recommendation for the paint. You can sant the rough spots smooth then take a try at wrapping the car. That’s my plan for my car but you may still want paint

    Nice ride :D Here's my 2 bits for the rear window trim! I've got a '95 Z28 and I replaced the windshield shortly after I bought it. While there at the shop, I asked one of the workers about the back trim around the hatch glass, because mine looks a lot like yours did...and he basically told me that I could rip it completely off and be perfectly fine. He actually recommended doing that instead of replacing it because he didn't think the cost of the new trim would be worth it. So...I'm gonna live with mine for a while longer and then probably just rip it out. Depending on what your experience is like with that universal stuff, I may decide to copy you and put it on mine since it might look a little too odd without any kind of trim there around the window.
    Also! If you ever decide to upgrade the sealed/stock halogen headlights to some HID or Xenon bulbs or something better than what GM put on, please let us know because I'd be very interested in a video of the process! As it seems right now, I *think* the only hope I'd have to try to do that is to buy something like this kit and then change the bulbs out to the Xenon/HID/whatever other ones...but since it says on this listing that it's "only intended for Halogen or Incandescent bulbs" then it probably wouldn't work :\ www.ebay.com/itm/Euro-Crystal-Clear-Headlight-Wiring-Bulbs-For-1993-1997-Chevy-Chevrolet-Camaro/312228072686 (They also offer only low beams for $65 instead of low and high, but it just seems weird to me to have halogen high beams and then these improved ones for the lows...)
    (Also also, I notice you're in Utah. Are you part of the UFBA?)

    Looks good but the upper part glass trim deflects water in to the channel to drain out the back so I just wonder how well that will work. On my 95 camaro the trim has shinked so one side is short but so far they haven’t broken.

    Last one I can think of is Replace driveshaft with aluminum one from 98-02 z28 or SS camaro. Underdrive pulleys don't help alot on LT1s
    Electric water pump helps free up torque as cam drives stock one.

    That window molding looks really uneven on the hatch glass, and I have serious concerns about its ability to seal out water. The window switch replacement looked great though.

    • @ReynoldsRides
      @ReynoldsRides  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I probably misspoke. I’m not entirely sure if the molding I removed was functional as it relates to water. The more I think about it, the more I think it was just a molding/trim piece (the rear hatch has a weatherstrip for water). Regardless, I’m not any worse off because the molding I removed wasn’t doing anything in the condition it was in.
