    I would definitely put the overhead console back in. I think they’re super cool with the map light and the cheesy 80s set reminder

    Great job man. Can’t wait to see how the interior looks when it’s all done. Also, when you said you carpet was bad, my 3rd gen sat in a barn for 20 years and the mice went to town in it, a paint respirator was the saving grace though because it smelled awful lol

But it is going to look so good with all of that new interior, and yes I vote for the overhead console, it just looks good with all of the gadgets and all. Great video, floors look great, I remember (and took pics) when I pulled my interior out how pleasant it was to see clean rust free floors, that is the "key" to a wonderful build. And IMO I would keep the upper console, it is part of the charm of the car, maybe upgrade if possible the bulb and battery,

    • @FireballMullet
      @FireballMullet  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great tip on the battery! Yeah, it is always scary to pull the carpet not knowing sometimes. This car has zero rust anywhere. I think I am keeping the upper console after all the comments, I may do something interesting with it though. BTW, congrats on being one of the top commenters on this channel!!!

    I love the idea of the overhead console, but I have never liked the look very much. I just put my neutral safety switch on my 4th gen pedals. Pain in the butt, but it's straight forward. I got the switch and plug from Hawks with the Magnum-F swap kit. Original GM part, good quality! Good luck!

      @@FireballMullet you can do it under the dash. However, someone hacked in an alarm system with my wires under the dash, so I just cut the yellow and purple wires at the shifter plug, extended the 10 guage wires to the clutch sensor, and called it good.
