I loved Fairy Tail despite the hate it got. A very good fun, dumb, feel good anime. I never got hung up on the plot armor and such. It's fine to turn your brain off once and a while. Plus the magic system was pretty neat too!
I love Fairy Tail, but what magic system? They didn't explain how magic works. It just works. There is no system. What are the rules? It can't even be considered a soft magic system. How does personallity affect the magic, who gets to be a wizard, how does one become a wizard, can magic be taught, how is magic classified, how many types or forms of magic are there? So many questions.
@@andreigabrielion9575 The magic system is essentially powered by "emotions/feelings". (hence why people hate on it for the "power of friendship" oof). The more powerful/strong the emotion/feeling, the stronger and purer the magic used is. The end literally says how the Primordial (True) Magic is actually the emotion/feeling of "Love". :)
The reason Fairy Tail is good is because they spend their first 50ish episodes doing nothing but getting you really attached to their huge ensemble cast. After they they just make those characters do whatever story they come up with, and it's fun whether or not the story is bad since you love the characters so much.
The story isn’t bad though. Mashima isn’t an incredible plot writer, however, I’ve always felt like the lore with Zeref, Acknalogia, Mavis, and everything is super, super investing. Not to mention the big twist toward the end with The old man (august). I absolutely love that twist.
@@syntheticreality549 Ngl, Fairy Tails story is pretty bad. Majority of the manga feels like filler. It should have ended a few hundred chapters earlier than it did. The heavy plot investment points are good, but they run way too long because of random story arcs in between. Also, the fake out deaths make One Piece look tame.
1. The reaction to Fiesta and Rock City Boy is priceless 2. Total openings 26 3. You almost guessed it, these are guilds, but in the Fairy Tail guild everyone behaves like ordinary families and some members grew up there as children and there are families there.
Fairy Tail is my favorite anime series, and the openings are some of the best in anime. My friend that passed away from prostate cancer got me started on it. I told him when he started hospice that I would give my right arm for his suffering to end. Hours later he finally rested peacefully. I now have almost 2 years devoted to a Fairy Tail themed sleeve on my right arm with a center piece being one of the best quotes ever, "you don't die for your friends, you live for them".
@@Zejoant I have been watching anime for over 30 years. I believe that personal preference should always be respected. Not everyone is into the flashy gimmick, overhyped anime like Demon Slayer and My Hero Academia. I get sentimental value out of certain anime. It will never be about how many, what genre, or any other thing than I enjoy what I enjoy.
Sorry for your loss. Anime can have some very inspirational quotes. One I like: "The minute you think of giving up, think of the reason why you held on for so long"
Fairy tail is indeed one of the BIG ones. Not too old and not quite new. It got a quite fair amount of awards like anime of the year, comedy genre awards, adventure genre awards, music awards its OSTs are BANGERS) and so on. It was one of the big 3 alongside naruto and one piece at one point, and then alongside bleach and My hero. Over the years its ranking sadly went down, but it's still one of the big classics in the anime world. Although a lot of people choose to rise a hate hype train claiming that it's too childish or whatnot, when it's literally like any other Shonen anime, with a great story if you stick to it. The manga is also much more mature without the censorship, but the anime is still rated for teens and above. Really, fairy tail is one of those underrated gems that doesnt get enough recognition because of edgy immature/insecure people afraid to say that they like a show that focuses a lot on emotions and sensitive topics.
@@apox16only mid 2000 manga readers and anime watchers will know this fact. It may have been popular to nowadays hate on FT but it was Kodansha's answer to counter Shuisha's dominance.
Fairy tail has a very Celtic style music vibe to it. The entire sound design was meant to invoke old magical legends which is shown a bit with magic seals. It’s one beautifully designed anime.
The “random” underwear shot was actually a unique battle. There’s a popular wizards magazine called “Sorcerer’s Weekly” in the anime, and Mirajane (the white haired girl), and her opponent Jenny, are both popular cover girls for the magazine and often do pin-ups, so it was literally a “pose-off” to win the match.
Hi! I just want to answer some of your questions :D 1. Yes, Fairy Tail was quite huge and it's not very recent. The first episode aired in 2009 and it has over 300 eps. The length of the episode is the standard 23-25 mins 2. You're right!! Fairy Tail objectively has some of the best music!!! If you're going to listen to the OST I recommend Erza's Theme, Fairy Tail Main Theme, Shukumei, Dragon Slayer, Kanashiki Kako and Kizuna (there are a lot more, but I'm holding myself back LOL). Trust me they're all amazing like... I'm still blown away. The composer is amazing!!! 3. It's about a world of wizards and Fairy Tail the name of the guild. Despite its uhh... issues... FT is often very wholesome with very strong family/friendship theme! 4. I think the closest to an R18 anime you've reacted to is Chainsawman I think? Granted idk some of anime you reacted to lol I love FT music so much and I'm glad you like it too!!! I still regularly listen to them until this day. I have such a strong nostalgic connection with FT even if now as an adult I can see all the flaws that I didn't see when I watched it as a kid lol. I enjoy your anime journey!! Thank you for the reaction :D
I haven’t read chainsaw man, just watching so I’m not sure if it’s worse. But based off the anime I’ve seen that he’s reacted to I’d say Psycho Pass is probably the most rated R
This is crazy how there is not one opening i dislike from FT. No matter the weirdness of some, it's just a happy vibe all the time. Such a feel good playlist that anyone should have on its phone to survive the evryday life !
Stopping right before the shift in the openings to the more intense arcs and songs, even accidentally, is kinda genius. Can't wait for part 2 👀 guarantee you're gonna love those songs too Also yes, most anime ops don't have direct clips from the show and are rather scenes created to convey the themes, characters, metaphors, and the general plot
Since nobody else has brought it up, most anime openings are made up entirely of original animation, effectively music videos to get people hyped for the show ahead. Oftentimes the scenes may be teasers for actual events in a given story arc, animated in such a way as to go with the music the studio licensed for the OP, but even then it usually isn't recycled footage and the actual scene in the show itself will be animated differently.
Bro, it's like it's a generational thing, because this exact thing happens to me with Katekyo Hitman Reborn openings, even the first time I heard them I felt nostalgia
It is a pretty popular anime and very well known but a lot of people have mixed feelings about it. There is a lot of plot armor and fanservice and it bothers a lot of people. Some people find the whole 'friendship and family wins over anything' very annoying (Basic plot). But it is in my opinion a very wholesome, cute, emotional and very fun anime! I really enjoyed it!! 😁🔥 Also 'Strike back' is my favourite opening 🔥🔥
Well explained. Also, they criticized that it "seriousness", like lack of character deaths, or that, as you said, "friendship and family" wins, but at the same type they love one piece, so a bit hypocritical on their part. I think it has plenty of action, comedy, emotion, and a good message about family and friends. The fanservice helps too, not gonna lie. Not to mention, I think the soundtrack is amazing. But I know it is not everybody's cup of tea, and that's alright
Erza Scarlet is the reason I first started watching Fairy Tail, I watched an AMV with clips from several of her early battles, and watching the anime only made me like Erza more
8:45 The two animes I can recommend are: - Vinland Saga: This one is pretty much as gritty and uncensored as Attack on Titan, but with a realistic setting. You also mentioned you like vikings, so you'll definitely like this one. - Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. This is a really good mix of dark and humor, plus I wouldn't be surprised to hear that Attack on Titan was partly inspired by this anime as it touches similar themes.
@Manji Gang Tokyo well I where thinking shows that are as dark or even darker then attack on titan there are very few generally there's not much anime with dark themes I think the only ones I can think of off the top of my head is drifters/Miria nikki/hellsing ultimate/akame ga kill/btooom/darker then black/claymore/Rosen maiden(maybe)/elfen lied/twin star exorcist(kinda) that's atleast from what I've watched and what I think is dark and some of them are darkish I don't know its hard to classify some anime as dark even if it has dark elements cause it usually has like Happy sides in the spotlight to unlike akame ga kill and future diary which the darkness was alway there there was really no break from it
I would suggest watching FMA 03 before Brotherhood. It does a better job leading new viewers into the series, whereas Brotherhood was made with the presumption that viewers have already seen 03.
@@pokimanefartcompilation I do agree FMA 2003 is better at expaining the beginning of FMA, but the pacing might make it boring to some. So yeah, start with 2003 and if the pacing isn't for you, switch over to FMA:B anytime.
@@benjaminroos2996 I want to include "Believe in Myself" too in the sad ops. It is Rock but in terms of visuals in the opening, and the arc it was introduced. It's also sad.
OMG YAY! So glad you decided to check out the Fairy Tail openings! Fairy Tail is one of my favorite animes. It will always have a special place in my heart, no matter what ppl say about it. It is quite a long anime so it will be a journey if you decide to react to it in the future. I wanted to say that you've become one of my favorite reactors on here. Really enjoy your content! :)
Something that will help you understand anime openings a little more: they don't change for new seasons, they change for new story arcs. Each opening typically only indicates between 10-20 episodes.
fairy tail started out pretty great, but at some point the story lost its focus and the viewership dropped off. it did find its old self in the last seasons. the author's new project seems to have learned from the first.
Plz 14 to 26! Fairy Tail was popular, but many people shit on it because they find it bad. I finished the show and I really enjoyed it. Sadly they cut the gore from the manga, because it aired early in the evening. The OST is a masterpiece, I can send you some recommendations from it. Best shows for gore: -Berserk -Hellsing Ultimate -Elfenlied -Chainsaw Man Cowboy Bebop has the most realistic fights I saw and is a classic. You should react to these some day (my favourites:) -Code Geass -Bleach -Fate Zero -Vinland Saga -Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood
Fairy Tail is just a masterpiece of emotions compiled in 328 (I think) episodes. And it was the anime that really helped me when I was struggling with life. It always will have a special space in my heart
Opening 1 will always be my favorite, hands down! The flute gets me everytime and it's just such a great vibe Fairy Tail is decently big! The characters are magic users (mages, wizards whatever you wanna call them) and fairy tail is their guild. It's big on the power of emotions/friendship which is a great message. It has tons of great, really fleshed out characters and all the women are complete badasses!
Fairy Tail will always have a place in my heart.. if I could live in any anime world, Fairy Tail is definitely one of my 1st options, those over the top magic battles, beautiful & sexy people everywhere.. no major deaths? power of friendship? unexplainable asspulls? I don't care, Fairy Tail isn't for the brain, it's for the heart ❤ 👆🏻
Same. Fairy Tail is my number one anime and I would love to go there. Also, I wouldn't say *no* major deaths. Irene, Igneel, Ultear, Mavis, Zeref, and even the fake out deaths hit pretty hard.
@@dandilionI feel like the fake out deaths can hit as hard as they do because the show gives you time to question if it’s real or not, so when they bring them back there’s this insane sense of happiness and relief. Also, enough characters ACTUALLY die that it still has that sense of danger
the basic premise of fairy tail is a fantasy land full of magic and wizards. And there are wizards who have banded together into basically adventurer guilds to do jobs and earn a living. The story follows one such guild, called fairy tail, and a core group of characters in particular. But a lot of the guild members get some time in the spotlight and even some characters from other wizard guilds. All of this info is given as exposition in episode 1 so it isnt really spoiling anything. As a seperate note if the ops are awesome but so is the ost, I highly recommend you check it out!
Over the years I've watched a butt ton of anime. Some amazing ones, some not. As I grew up many different series occupied the number one spot on my list. Fairy Tail though never got that spot. After I watched Steins;Gate I figured that I'll never see anything better. That this is the very top. As the time passed I slowly stopped watching anime and after a long break I realised, that the one I came back to in my thoughts the most is Fairy Tail. Nowadays I can't listen to the first opening without my eyes getting all teary and I'm not a very emotional guy. Fairy Tail has simply something magical about it. The atmosphere, the humor, the story, and most importantly - the characters. Watching Fairy Tail you don't simply watch the characters go through the storyline, you experience it with them. Watching Fairly Tail you feel lile you truly are a part of the Guild. I love this anime.
I love how you take your time to look back and talk about what's happening, both in the opening and about what you think the show is about. It's kind of fun and refreshing to see the perspective of someone that doesn't know much about anime in general. Regarding what you said about seasons for long animes, we actually prefer to divide them by argumental arcs or sagas, since most of the time seasons are long enough to have many different arcs within them or the season ends before the story of the arc does. It's more straight foward and less confusing that way. About openings, yeah a lot of the time they take scenes from things that are likely to happend in the show itself (although reanimated to just show what the anime is about while also fitting the song, like how AoT openings show the protagonist killing titans) but a lot of stuff is an artistic choice. For example, in the Haikyuu opening you mentioned, the mountain before the protagonists is meant to represent a tough opponent they have to defeat, not an actual mountain they climb in the anime. Another example would be the first scene from the first Jujutsu Kaisen opening, with the protagonist waking up in a half flooded train. That never happens in the actual series, but it's an artistic choice the animators thought about because it looked cool.
I loved the entire Fairy Tail series, it pulls on your heart strings a lot especially once you grow attachments to characters. I can't wait until Fairy Tail 100 year quest comes out
Finally ! I was literally waiting for your reaction on Fairy Tail 😭! It's an amazing show , and this is the very specific anime which made me start my anime journey
*Oh yeah, the modeling fight* 🤣 32:57 It's actually something that happens in the show. I read it first in the manga and I remember I laughed my ass off when I started reading the chapter and they just threw that to us without ANY explanation. It explains what is happening right after and it is pretty plausible and funny, especially the way it ended. I care nothing for fanservice, but that was the best bit in the arc for me XD
very popular, at least 200+ eps, is very good, and is a nice action, adventure, does have some fan service. but is one hell of a journey and story that is told.
Fairy tail was an anime that i started watching when i was 14,so about 10 years ago,and it got me through very tough times(parents divorcing ,having a falling out with irl friends). I know a lot of people hate fairy tail for its power of friendship, but it was exactly that what got me through those times. All things considered,I hadn´t listened to the openings in a very long time,so this was a blast from the past. Also my personal favorite opening is coming up in the second half-strike back.
you definetly should react to Gintama Openings. Gintama is a fantastic Anime with a lot of Humor but the actual Story acrs getting very serious and the fights are some of the best in Shounen Annime IMO.
Every opening is like a summary for each arc it represents and some even have spoilers to things that will happen waaaaay in the future but you'll only get it once you've reached that part in the story and you'll go "damn they actually told us this in op xx"
As an anime fan, your questions made me very funny so answering some of your questions from my experience: -Normally the openings cover a story arc and are 12-13 episodes each. And they change the opening and animation because the story progresses, the objectives of the characters change, new characters appear or they tell us more about our characters. -The openings are mostly original, with animation that you will only see in the opening and not in the series, but there will also be some parts that you will see but very rarely, since the objective of the opening is to introduce the characters and give a general idea from the anime without spoiling much. I hope this helps you a bit to understand the anime better :)
Damn The 1st Opening Still Gives me the Chills and Pure Nostalgia,I'm Forever A Fairy Tail Member In My Heart, Even if they aren't Real to me they Taught me Everything That I can apply In Real Life.🥰
Tbh Fairy Tail is about the one and only thing I WOULD actually subscribe to Patreon to watch, because I love this show with all my heart and love to see other people enjoy it
FairyTail is a Magician-Guild in the Land of Fiore, when somebody joins this Guild they are like Family and the support in this Guild is heartbraking. Yes there is rivalry but in the end they all are Family. This Anime/Manga was one of the first Big Anime who dosent even have a stereotypical Maincharakter because in this Anime the whole Guild is the "Maincharakter" but the Story is ritten in a way you see a smal maingroupe taking action and we all expierience that they suffer, fight for a better future and to protect the Family(Guild or even the Country. The Backstory of some Charakters will make you cry and the Fights are Epic. There is some Plotarmor or not into the last thought planed Storys but overall is this a well written story. There is no 100% over the top written Anime/Manga so it is still one of my alltime favorites!
3:09 Yes Fairy Tail is long but well worth it. There's 328 episodes, 9 OVAs, and 2 movies. Every second is worth it. Watch and become part of the Fairy Tail family 👆
So excited to see you react to this! I like how every of their openings have no consistency but somehow still fit the arcs. And the animation sequence for these openings are just as lit. It’s an enjoyable series to watch if you’re interested, I’m definitely rooting for it! And yes, their chests seem to grow bigger and bigger as the series move on (not a fan tbh) but it’s definitely fun to watch for the plot/action/humour!
FT is the perfect anime for music enthusiasts. Including the openings and endings, the OST in FT are one of the few in the anime industry that use LEITMOTIF,and very well at that. Each character has their own OST that plays during their own moments and backstories. While the plot IMO is quite lackluster, it's definitely an enjoyable watch.
I appreciate your enthusaism and i love the celtic rock style but i have to point out Series 1 and Series 2 do not have the same score Same composer and a few themes returning but mostly new stuff including a new main motif Then final season revamps the series 1 main theme and few others Dont get me wrong i love all series 1-3 ost but 2 stands out most with lack of usage of series 1 ost
Fairy tail is one of my favorites :3 It helped me get though some hard times and helped me bond with others who loved it. Also one of the first shows my wife and I watched together :3
Fairy Tail is a Wizard Guild were mages from their could join to go on missions and our guild is the no.1 guild in their country its a really fun show and quite the adventure so i hope you have fun watching it
YAY THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR FINALLY DOING FAIRY TAIL LOL you said exactly what we all say: no matter whether you like the actual anime or not, no one can deny that the openings are FIRE! My favorites are definitely Fairy Tail Zero (I forget what the actual song is called), Strike Back, Masayume Chasing, Snow Fairy, and I Wish. You’d definitely like Fairy Tail. Simply put, it’s a world with magic in which wizards belong to different guilds, and Fairy Tail has a reputation for being a very strong but very CHAOTIC one 😂 it’s the most heartfelt anime ever. While some people criticize the simplistic plot and comedic fanservice, here’s what I say: Fairy Tail is for the heart, not the head. It will make you laugh and cry and cheer in equal parts, and even the minor characters get so much great development, you can’t help but get attached to them. The core message might be simple, but that doesn’t mean it’s not effective. Fairy Tail is a world where your strength comes from your feelings and bonds with others, and you can get through anything if you do it with friends by your side. My top 5 recommendations??? 1. Fairy Tail obviously. You really will love it. It is 300+ episodes though, so understandable if you don’t want to jump in yet. 2. Sword Art Online is a very staple beginner anime. The original SAO arc is the best, and while it does take a bit of a dip in the middle, the most recent one-Alicization-was *awesome.* 3. Death Note is on the darker side but another widely popular one that I’d highly recommend. 4. Naruto is obviously THE anime, and for a reason. It’s a MASSIVE one though, so you definitely have to be willing to commit to it. 5. And for something completely different: the hilariously ridiculous but beloved Ouran High School Host Club 😂 As for like, R-rated ones? Higurashi When They Cry is a great horror-mystery anime and can get very gorey at times. One of my favorites. Psycho-Pass is a good crime thriller. Shiki is another horror one that would probably also qualify as r-rated for the gore.
Fairy Tail is my absolutly favorite anime! It cought my heart!! And jesus cries, the OST is just a masterpice, characters are adorable and this anime is all in all funny and sad at the same time. I LOVE IT!!!!
Me finding a video cover of the Fairy Tail main theme OST was what drew me into the show. All the OSTs and the openings/endings are so beautiful! And I ADORE the story and message of Fairy Tail! I think it flies over people's heads sometimes the actual message and such, but I enjoyed it IMMENSELY. The only way to know though would be to watch it for yourself. I will warn though it is a tad slow in the beginning few episodes, as they are introducing the world and the characters, but slowly becomes more in depth and even has several twists and LOTS of foreshadowing, if you are a fan of that in stories. But I would LOVE if you reacted to the ENDINGS! So far, there is only a video or two reacting to the endings. :( The endings actually correspond with each character's arc etc, so they are quite amazing, especially Gray's ending!
While the Fairy Tail Openings are all great, even more so is the OST attached to this show, which are the the real bangers by Yasuharu Takanashi. Yasuharu Takanashi is a God tier composer, up there with Hiroyuki Sawano, and arguably better at high octane battle music. He has also composed fight music for Naruto Shippuden among others TLDR: I’d recommend checking out the Fairy Tail OSTs. Notable favorites are Dragon Fight Dragon Force Natsu’s Theme Fairy Tail Rising 3 Dragon Slayers This isn’t even mentioning any of the slow, heartfelt OSTs. Way up there with One Piece and Naruto
If I have to say what Fairy Tail is actually about, it's basically about Found Family. It's a bunch of ragtags outcasts from all over coming together and finding a place they can call home and finding people they can trust.
It is very popular indeed, and if u would watch it u see very clearyl that the first seasons are experiments to see if the audience would like them and then u will realizes how the art and quality improves from season to season massively. For me it is a very pretty piece of art. I love absolutly everything about it. The visual work, the characters and their developements. U watch it and u will get attached to them, the story takes twists and turns that u wont except and its glorious how it worked out. It will make u emotional and fired up when it goes to the final moments of the arcs. For the insiders here: "U made Erza cry!" Everyone who loves Fairy Tail will know what i mean by this. Its often very funny and enjoyable but turns out to get very serious, in my eyes the perfect mix of both. Its a bit like in Attack on Titan when scenes come up with Sasha going for food, or Levis cleaning fetish. Its lighting up the serious and harsh story with a portion of humor, Fairy Tail does the same but its mainly humor and turns the serious mode on instead of making an overall serious story funny. U should watch it its beautifull.
I'm so so glad you did this! fairy tail was one of my first full shows I watched and one of the first ones I showed my friends. it always will be my favorite, and if I was to ever get a tattoo it would for sure be a fairy tail guild mark! The fanservice can be a bit much for other people but for me I don't mind it, and there is a lot of 'power of friendship' which really pisses others off but it makes me believe that friendships can really last forever.
*So, I'll try to answer every questions of the video (yes, even small ones) in a spoiler-free manner and with short sentences:* 3:10 Yes, it'cs atually quite a well-known show (for good and bad reasons.) 3:16 328 episodes, but they go by quickly when you watch them. 3:19 We can considerate it a popular anime, but there's also a part of people who doesn't like it because of Fan Service or "Power of Friendship." 3:50 The broadcast started on 2009 and has been going on for years, until ~2017 (I think last season was in 2019, not sure about that.) 4:27 The reaction to the opening you missed of SAO + the endings (all very good.) 6:40 The best openings are in the second part. 8:40 Actually yes, you are wrong. _Fairy Tail_ takes place in a world, as you said, with magic and creatures, but it isn't a magic school; it's a guild where they can take requests for missions and things like that. 8:47 Overlord is a very solid show 9:14 1/ Overlord for the dark side and very nice plot (and not very long 4x13 episodes) 2/ One Piece for its incredible world, story, joyfull and dark moments, Epic fights and so much more ... _(NO, I'm not biased, I swear)_ 3/ Demon Slayer : incredible animation, very good story, very popular anime and not very long atm 4/ One Punch Man for the dumbiness of the show but is still incredible, full of action 5/ Chainsaw man ? New show coming out, haven't check it out for the moment, but I hear lot of good things about it and seems pretty gore 6/ And here's a bonus one, putting it low because don't want to have haters on my back : Sword Art Online. Very great anime it its globality (some down), nice musics, epic battles, good plot, very good animation (even more beautiful in the season 3, but animation of season 1 is still really really good for something made in 2013), and quite quick to go through. 9:30 Fairy Tail is an enjoyable anime with good and not that good points. There's fighting, quite a lot actually. So idk, I would put it somewhere near the middle of the list (I think between 4 and 5 in my case). 19:00 Sure, why not. Can't spend money, but if it's easier for you and interess people, there's no really downside in doing so. 20:51 Wasn't a giant cat, but yeah, it's a cat. 21:22 Yeah, it was a real opening. _(and personally one of the one I like the less)_ 26:27 Depends. For Fairy Tail, there's season of 40+ episodes and some seasons way less. In the case of One Piece, it's a weekly show, so there isn't any "season". 26:31 24 minutes/ep, and that's a global fact in _(japanese)_ anime world. Almost every anime is composed of episodes each making 24 minutes. 27:50 Can't really say for this one, sorry. And just, about FairyTail have the most epic fights, I would be divided : yeah, it have lot of fights and they're great, but I wouldn't say "most epic". 28:40 In most opening, you see actions and bits of the anime/season, but there's also openings with scenes which aren't in the anime. You'll find some in, for exemple, *One Piece Openings*. 31:45 As said earlier, they aren't schools but mage guilds. 33:03 Actually, it appears in the anime ... _(PS : Sorry if there's some english mistakes, I'm actually French, so yeah, be indulgent 😄)_
Man I love your energy so much. Fairy tail was a very important anime for me while growing up and I've always put great importance in music too in my life, each time I hear these openings, or other themes in this show for that matter I feel something different. I really relate to your reaction to these musics. Just wanted to say that I think you're wonderful and I hope you have a nice day
Fairy Tail are fairly good on its story and these openings reflects the emotion of what will comes after each episode while conveying the meaning of the arc with its lyrics. (I will leave rock city boy/opening 8 alone on this occasion 🤣) , but too bad you didn't make it through the 23rd opening. Looking forward to it!
It really is about the themes of the season; it's just the season where the theme everyone took away was "plot armor" instead of "willpower makes to immune to being crushed by heavy objects," which is probably for the best.
I loved it!!! So what it’s a little “cringe” it’s a beautiful anime and they did the ships extremely well in my opinion. And their magic system was externally cool. They are also one of the few anime that actually do the “inverted” aka Edolas. I also love that all the main characters have fleshed out back stories and they all have their turn to shine.
Fairy Tail Officially Aired in 2009 so its somewhat older but its a very long series its has well over 400+ ep if im not mistaken but its one of my most favorite animes to watch lol ive rewatched the show like 8 times now lol
PLEASE Do The Other 13! They Only Get Better And I Highly Recommend Fairy Tail As A Show. Also, It Depends On The Show. Some Anime Openings Have Things That You See In The Show, Some Don't. In The Fairy Tail Openings, It Mostly Shows Or Relates To Things That Happen In That Season, But It's Not The Exact Clip. Like How It'll Show Natsu Using Fire To Fly In The Air When Really His Blue Cat Friend Happy Flies Him Around
My list for the anime to watch: Fullmetal alchemist brotherhood, hunter x hunter, demon slayer, fairy tail and a personal pic yo try seasonal anime Deca-Dence.
Oh dang! Didn't notice this was only until 13. Yes you need to do the other 13!!! 15 and 23 are my favorites!!!! The anime is about magic guilds taking on different quests and such. With lots of backstories and new memories to be spun with the family of the fairy tail guild! 😊
@@mrbob6004 nah it's actually a genuine thing. Compared to other anime openings. There are only 4 or 5 that are pretty good to me for one piece. They're tame
Yeah! I loved you reacting to these. Rock City Boy is one of my faves out of a few, and I loved seeing your delight while listening to it. Also seeing your brain break at 22:12 makes me laugh everytime
I think of Fairy Tail the same way I think of Star Wars: Rebels; Yeah, there are some plot-holes, yeah, there's some trash filler (And egregious fanservice, in Fairy Tail's case), and quite frankly, yeah, the show could've used, if not more deaths, then at least fewer death fakeouts to give it an actual edge. Despite all that, though, it's still absolutely a super enjoyable show to watch, with some very touching emotional moments, and fantastic, lovable characters.
Fairy Tail has a lot of haters. Don't let them dissuade you, WATCH THIS AWESOMENESS! Epic fights? FUCK YEAH! Especially the second half of the series, HOLY FUCKING SHIT my guy, go watch. Recommend-Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Fairy Tail, Trugun, Akame ga Kill, Samurai Champloo, Your Lie in April, a good variety, and most are 25 episodes or less, so good for reactions.
i remember getting excited whenever a new FT OP was up especially during the earlier season's original run (we can't binge watch them back then); these OPs present teasers of the upcoming arcs. the OP scenes were not necessarily as is from the episodes, some are simplified perspectives (e.g., of match ups amd or tandems); and most of the time, what's on the OPs were just different POVs of the same scenes from the episodes. the cheeky swimsuit you mentioned in OP 13, that is actually part of the plot, lols
MAAAAAN this anime is so ooooold! and most of my favorite bands in the past have performed some openings of this anime. Hearing them again after some years made me teary. wth
@@delanireid I say loosely because the lyrics I found were already translated on a defunct site now. I remember seeing that and laughing, so it stuck in my head.
I haven't watched or read Fairy Tail since it wrapped up in 2017 and yet hearing "I Wish" moved me to actual tears Tenroujima arc trauma runs _deep_ (and yes I got that name off the top of my head)
The joy it brings me to see someone raw reacting to FT openings for the first time is unreal. It’s definitely a favorite of mine, it’s just easy to watch and a fun time. It does get a ton of hate but if you’re a softie, it’s pretty emotional to watch at times between all the fun & adventures. They’re like a big family.
A lot of people love this anime and a lot of people hate it, yes. I think the censorship in terms of blood and injuries compared to the manga is one reason some people don't like it, along with the fanservice. I personally don't mind the censorship, and the fanservice is honestly hilarious and self-aware. Another reason people don't like it (without spoiling anything) is the fact that some characters have miraculous saves from death, but the creator of Fairy Tail said that he has a really hard time killing off the characters he creates and I honestly respect that. The reasons that I love this anime are the soundtrack, the storyline/plot, the characters, and it's ability to go from super serious and emotional to humorous and ridiculous. If you go into it with an open mind, it can be extremely enjoyable. It would love to watch you react to it on patreon. There is 328 episodes (about 22 minutes long each) and 2 movies, as well as some OVAs. I personally prefer the dub to the sub, but the sub is really good as well.
Here's what i believe are top anime that you'd like the most, i'll only choose from the openings you already reacted to. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Parasyte, Code Geass, Overlord, Tokyo Ghoul, Saga of Tanya the evil, Type Moon (would love to see reaction to the whole universe). Its hard for me to choose five and i would love to see you react to all of the ones you already checked out.
OMG when you were talking about how great the openings are after the 2nd one, I was like WAIT TILL THE 3rd ONE man and Fiesta, the 6th one, they're my favs
Fairy tail is what got me into anime. And at the time I had to watch the show on TH-cam cause I didn't have any streaming platform to watch it on. I have fond memories of this show. And it's a good starter anime for new anime fans. But the world is so complex and I love the world building and I should go back to rewatch it.
I just ask you to give reaction to Fairy Tail opening yesterday, and happily today i found your video reacting to Fairy Tail opening. I just wanna say thank you, because Fairy Tail is one of my favorite anime.
shocked myself when i found myself singing along the songs even tho it's been yrs since i saw this, dropped the anime around natsu fighting that other dragneel in white with light? blond? hair near the end.
After watching the openings with you here, and your question about fights, I think the biggest Flex of a Fight is with a character called Elfman and Bacchus. I think you would drop your jaw with that fight.
Fairytail is what in known as a "shounen" anime. Shounen anime are typically rated somewhere around pg-13, with lots of slapstick humour and a focus on teamwork, personal growth, and the values of friendship and believing in yourself. Shounen anime, along with it's counterpart Shoujo anime (literally translating to "boy" and "girl" respectively) are what we commonly know as "coming of age" stories with a few key differences between the two, most notably; Shounen with a more action and adventure theme and Shoujo having a bigger focus on romance and drama. You'll notice as you get more familiar with anime that the most popular ones are usually Shounen, Shoujo, or Seinen anime (Seinen meaning "youth", but do not be fooled THIS is your 18+, Attack on Titan is a Seinen-Thriller i believe, i could be wrong though). Hope this helps! :)
started watching fairytail in like 2010, kinda fell out of watching anime in 2016 and only kept up until grand magic games arc but starting to watch the episodes after and all i can say is the opening songs still SLAP
28:32 this changes from anime to anime, some will have alot of clips from the episodes. but most of the times there will be much more stuff that doesn't happen in the episodes. openings will mostly show stuff similar to what happens in the show, make references to events that will happen, fanservice fights and encounters that doesn't necessarily happen, or just the characters having fun or doing normal stuff
I'm not saying it's not possible, but generally Openings and Endings to an anime aren't actual clips from the anime. They are giving a general vibe of what the season will be like. A lot of people say not to watch them because it can give away the Villain of the arc or even show if a character got a new power. I wouldn't say it actually shows anything as exactly what happens in the anime. Death Note for example doesn't really give anything away. It just gives off a lot of religious symbolism and the vibe is dark so you can guess what kind of show it will be, but not exactly what happens. Also, I think the general theme for Fairy Tail tying all of the Openings together is that most are fast pace and bouncy even though they are different genres.
31:38 guilds poeple request help in exchange of currency or an item which then the guild may or may not accept which then members usually in groups accpt the quest. The main guild you see in the show are mercanary guilds
So I love the list question you asked at 9:34. This is my list for you: 1. Ancient Magus Bride 2. Parallel World Pharmacy 3. A Genius Prince’s Guide to Raising a Nation out of Debt 4. Akame ga Kill 5. Saga of Tanya the Evil I didn’t personally put Fairy Tail because given you are just starting out, long animes can be a bit overwhelming when getting used to the art styles and gimmicks. The first three do a great job of being gentle introductions and the last two share more similar qualities with the level of action with Attack on Titan, not on the same animation level, but definitely great action to get you started. Afterwards totally up to you if you want to try a longer series like Fairy Tail which is a fantastic anime to watch! Also to answer your other question. The anime is about a world of magic and Fairy Tail is actually one of the magic guilds famous for being the most chaotic as they tend to wreck a lot of things. 😂

if you do watch FT, i do reccomend the dub. Nothin against the sub, but i cant hear natsu without Todd haberkorn doing the voice.
For Fairy Tail most of the stuff in an opening is actually a scene.
I loved it all the way until the final arc. The plot armour was egregious at the end
@@andreigabrielion9575 pretty much what you said ^^
@@andreigabrielion9575 The magic system is essentially powered by "emotions/feelings". (hence why people hate on it for the "power of friendship" oof). The more powerful/strong the emotion/feeling, the stronger and purer the magic used is. The end literally says how the Primordial (True) Magic is actually the emotion/feeling of "Love". :)
I have to agree it's really a feel good anime
The reason Fairy Tail is good is because they spend their first 50ish episodes doing nothing but getting you really attached to their huge ensemble cast. After they they just make those characters do whatever story they come up with, and it's fun whether or not the story is bad since you love the characters so much.
I agree the characters in Fairy Tail is what gets you hooked to the show.
The story isn’t bad though. Mashima isn’t an incredible plot writer, however, I’ve always felt like the lore with Zeref, Acknalogia, Mavis, and everything is super, super investing. Not to mention the big twist toward the end with The old man (august). I absolutely love that twist.
Story isn’t bad, just not the best thing out there.
I still wish we'd get more Rave Master
@@syntheticreality549 Ngl, Fairy Tails story is pretty bad. Majority of the manga feels like filler.
It should have ended a few hundred chapters earlier than it did.
The heavy plot investment points are good, but they run way too long because of random story arcs in between.
Also, the fake out deaths make One Piece look tame.
1. The reaction to Fiesta and Rock City Boy is priceless
2. Total openings 26

@@Zejoant It wasn't stupid. It actually brought conversation ;)

Hi! I just want to answer some of your questions :D
1. Yes, Fairy Tail was quite huge and it's not very recent. The first episode aired in 2009 and it has over 300 eps. The length of the episode is the standard 23-25 mins
Granted idk some of anime you reacted to lol
I love FT music so much and I'm glad you like it too!!!
But based off the anime I’ve seen that he’s reacted to I’d say Psycho Pass is probably the most rated R
there are another few r18 anime, berserk, elfen lied, claymore, those are few example of it with same gore as chainsaw man.
This is crazy how there is not one opening i dislike from FT. No matter the weirdness of some, it's just a happy vibe all the time. Such a feel good playlist that anyone should have on its phone to survive the evryday life !
I love seeing people's reaction to Rock City Boy, it's so different and comes out of nowhere to the point where you either love it or hate it lmao
True! I used to hate it but it grew on me and now I love it!
The more you listen to it the more you love it xD
At first I wasn't so sure about this opening but towards the end of the arc I was just like 💃🏻💃🏻
My favorite Anime OP of all time xD
Stopping right before the shift in the openings to the more intense arcs and songs, even accidentally, is kinda genius. Can't wait for part 2 👀 guarantee you're gonna love those songs too
Also yes, most anime ops don't have direct clips from the show and are rather scenes created to convey the themes, characters, metaphors, and the general plot
And when they do, it's usually to save money. Lit. Yuki Yuna season 2
The first few seconds of reaction videos like this always make me tear up. The extreme amount of nostalgia it brings just overwhelms me. 😭
Bro, it's like it's a generational thing, because this exact thing happens to me with Katekyo Hitman Reborn openings, even the first time I heard them I felt nostalgia
And use this chance to watch the openings again(?
It is a pretty popular anime and very well known but a lot of people have mixed feelings about it. There is a lot of plot armor and fanservice and it bothers a lot of people. Some people find the whole 'friendship and family wins over anything' very annoying (Basic plot). But it is in my opinion a very wholesome, cute, emotional and very fun anime! I really enjoyed it!! 😁🔥
Also 'Strike back' is my favourite opening 🔥🔥
Well explained. Also, they criticized that it "seriousness", like lack of character deaths, or that, as you said, "friendship and family" wins, but at the same type they love one piece, so a bit hypocritical on their part.
I think it has plenty of action, comedy, emotion, and a good message about family and friends. The fanservice helps too, not gonna lie.
Not to mention, I think the soundtrack is amazing.
But I know it is not everybody's cup of tea, and that's alright
@@sushipaolo to be fair one piece is overall a lot more darker than fairy tail and more "serious"
@@shadowicedevil true, but in also I believe it has more goofy moments, which I love, so I thinks it has a "balance" of sorts, just a bit more extreme
Exactly what I would of said, we even have the same favourite opening.
Ive personaly read the entire manga and i enjoyed the story in both ways but some anime scenes are kind of over the top.
Erza Scarlet is the reason I first started watching Fairy Tail, I watched an AMV with clips from several of her early battles, and watching the anime only made me like Erza more
The OST/Sound Tracks of this anime is just too damn unique and really good. It feels like those medieval fantasy songs the bards play in Taravans
Are you trying to say Taverns or Caravans?
@@DeadHaremGuy Taverns
8:45 The two animes I can recommend are:
- Vinland Saga: This one is pretty much as gritty and uncensored as Attack on Titan, but with a realistic setting.

Something that will help you understand anime openings a little more: they don't change for new seasons, they change for new story arcs. Each opening typically only indicates between 10-20 episodes.
Most of the time they had 2 OPs per arc. (GMG was special with 4)
The battle themes of Fairy Tail are pure hype, you definitely should check it out

fairy tail started out pretty great, but at some point the story lost its focus and the viewership dropped off. it did find its old self in the last seasons. the author's new project seems to have learned from the first.

Fairy Tail was popular, but many people shit on it because they find it bad. I finished the show and I really enjoyed it. Sadly they cut the gore from the manga, because it aired early in the evening.

Fairy Tail is decently big!
I always consider Fairy Tail and Fullmetal Alchemist to be sister animes for that reason. FMA is for the brain, and Fairy Tail is for the heart ❤️

It's actually something that happens in the show.
Fairy tail was an anime that i started watching when i was 14,so about 10 years ago,and it got me through very tough times(parents divorcing ,having a falling out with irl friends).

you definetly should react to Gintama Openings.

Excited to see your reaction to the 2nd half of the openings, they are definitely better overall
As an anime fan, your questions made me very funny so answering some of your questions from my experience:
-Normally the openings cover a story arc and are 12-13 episodes each.

Manga or anime?
The OVAs are practically just fan service and some side info. (I watched the OVAs more than 5 times now ykyk)
I absolutely love Fairy Tail! It’s definitely one of my favourites.
I appreciate your enthusaism and i love the celtic rock style but i have to point out
Series 1 and Series 2 do not have the same score
Same composer and a few themes returning but mostly new stuff including a new main motif
Then final season revamps the series 1 main theme and few others
Dont get me wrong i love all series 1-3 ost but 2 stands out most with lack of usage of series 1 ost
Fairy tail is one of my favorites :3 It helped me get though some hard times and helped me bond with others who loved it. Also one of the first shows my wife and I watched together :3
I’ve been waiting for this!!
Fairy Tail is a Wizard Guild were mages from their could join to go on missions and our guild is the no.1 guild in their country its a really fun show and quite the adventure so i hope you have fun watching it
YAY THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR FINALLY DOING FAIRY TAIL
LOL you said exactly what we all say: no matter whether you like the actual anime or not, no one can deny that the openings are FIRE!
The original SAO arc is the best, and while it does take a bit of a dip in the middle, the most recent one-Alicization-was *awesome.*
3. Death Note is on the darker side but another widely popular one that I’d highly recommend.
4. Naruto is obviously THE anime, and for a reason. It’s a MASSIVE one though, so you definitely have to be willing to commit to it.
5. And for something completely different: the hilariously ridiculous but beloved Ouran High School Host Club 😂
As for like, R-rated ones?
:( The endings actually correspond with each character's arc etc, so they are quite amazing, especially Gray's ending!
i love that Grand Magic Tourney Arc where Laxus returned to the guild
While the Fairy Tail Openings are all great, even more so is the OST attached to this show, which are the the real bangers by Yasuharu Takanashi.
Yasuharu Takanashi is a God tier composer, up there with Hiroyuki Sawano, and arguably better at high octane battle music. He has also composed fight music for Naruto Shippuden among others
TLDR: I’d recommend checking out the Fairy Tail OSTs.
Notable favorites are
Dragon Fight
Dragon Force
Natsu’s Theme
Fairy Tail Rising
3 Dragon Slayers
This isn’t even mentioning any of the slow, heartfelt OSTs. Way up there with One Piece and Naruto
If I have to say what Fairy Tail is actually about, it's basically about Found Family. It's a bunch of ragtags outcasts from all over coming together and finding a place they can call home and finding people they can trust.
Thanks for the awesome reaction! I'd love to see the reaction to the ending as well.👆😄
these openings bring me so much nostalgia my 9 year old me discovering the world of anime and my first was Fairy Tail
note: Happy best character haha
*So, I'll try to answer every questions of the video (yes, even small ones) in a spoiler-free manner and with short sentences:*
3:10 Yes, it'cs atually quite a well-known show (for good and bad reasons.)
3:16 328 episodes, but they go by quickly when you watch them.
3:19 We can considerate it a popular anime, but there's also a part of people who doesn't like it because of Fan Service or "Power of Friendship."
3:50 The broadcast started on 2009 and has been going on for years, until ~2017 (I think last season was in 2019, not sure about that.)
4:27 The reaction to the opening you missed of SAO + the endings (all very good.)
6:40 The best openings are in the second part.
8:40 Actually yes, you are wrong. _Fairy Tail_ takes place in a world, as you said, with magic and creatures, but it isn't a magic school; it's a guild where they can take requests for missions and things like that.
8:47 Overlord is a very solid show
9:14 1/ Overlord for the dark side and very nice plot (and not very long 4x13 episodes)
2/ One Piece for its incredible world, story, joyfull and dark moments, Epic fights and so much more ... _(NO, I'm not biased, I swear)_
3/ Demon Slayer : incredible animation, very good story, very popular anime and not very long atm
4/ One Punch Man for the dumbiness of the show but is still incredible, full of action
5/ Chainsaw man ? New show coming out, haven't check it out for the moment, but I hear lot of good things about it and seems pretty gore
6/ And here's a bonus one, putting it low because don't want to have haters on my back : Sword Art Online.
_(and personally one of the one I like the less)_
26:27 Depends.
Yay! You did it! Fairy tail is one of my favorite. Love your reactions. Keep on going!
It’s pretty long not the longest anime (that goes to one piece with over 1,000 episodes and still going)
In all honesty fairy tail is one of my favorite anime. Its the definition of power of friendship and lots of fun!!!
More power of emotion/feelings than friendship since that’s the theme and in the power system they get a boost from emotion
@@delanireid very true!! Thank youuu!
Please react all 1-24 One Piece opening🙏🏴☠️
For some reason they bore me🤔
@@malcolms535 for some reason you bore me
@@malcolms535 for some reason, your comment bore me
@@mrbob6004 nah it's actually a genuine thing. Compared to other anime openings. There are only 4 or 5 that are pretty good to me for one piece. They're tame
@@vera2892 ^
AS A FAILRY TAIL FAN FOR YEARS I LOVE YOUR HYPE FOR THE OPENINGS SO I'LL LEAVE A SUB.
THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO!
Fairy tail is my favourite anime of all time and i have watched over 100 anime including the top animes
Yeah! I loved you reacting to these. Rock City Boy is one of my faves out of a few, and I loved seeing your delight while listening to it.
Also seeing your brain break at 22:12 makes me laugh everytime
3:10 - It has 328 episodes, 2 movies, and OVAs. They're going to make the 100 Years Quest sequel into an anime as well.
Recommend-Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Fairy Tail, Trugun, Akame ga Kill, Samurai Champloo, Your Lie in April, a good variety, and most are 25 episodes or less, so good for reactions.
i remember getting excited whenever a new FT OP was up especially during the earlier season's original run (we can't binge watch them back then);
these OPs present teasers of the upcoming arcs. the OP scenes were not necessarily as is from the episodes, some are simplified perspectives (e.g., of match ups amd or tandems); and most of the time, what's on the OPs were just different POVs of the same scenes from the episodes.
the cheeky swimsuit you mentioned in OP 13, that is actually part of the plot, lols
The most usual thing in all of anime openings are running, standing, fighting and never gonna happen fights
MAAAAAN this anime is so ooooold!
and most of my favorite bands in the past have performed some openings of this anime. Hearing them again after some years made me teary. wth
The opening "Rock City Boys" is hilarious at the end because the end of the song loosely translates to "You do not understand what I said, eh?"
LMFAOOOO I never knew that 😂
@@delanireid I say loosely because the lyrics I found were already translated on a defunct site now. I remember seeing that and laughing, so it stuck in my head.
I haven't watched or read Fairy Tail since it wrapped up in 2017 and yet hearing "I Wish" moved me to actual tears
Tenroujima arc trauma runs _deep_
(and yes I got that name off the top of my head)
Love the videos, also might as well run the gauntlet and just do a full reaction to the rest of the Openings for Fairy Tail👏🏽👏🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
This anime is all about friendship 😂 almost defeate but think about friends, then power up 😅 got new power
22:34 OP 9 is what I would call an "Anime OP Song". Lots of OPs in the past were that style.
31:38 guilds poeple request help in exchange of currency or an item which then the guild may or may not accept which then members usually in groups accpt the quest.
The main guild you see in the show are mercanary guilds
So I love the list question you asked at 9:34. This is my list for you:
1. Ancient Magus Bride
2. Parallel World Pharmacy
3. A Genius Prince’s Guide to Raising a Nation out of Debt
4. Akame ga Kill
5. Saga of Tanya the Evil
I didn’t personally put Fairy Tail because given you are just starting out, long animes can be a bit overwhelming when getting used to the art styles and gimmicks.
