Just to give you a perspective from the author of Fairytail. The author said that Lucy is actually the main character because she's telling her journey with Fairytail through her novel. Anw this is my favourite anime. They made that "Friendship power" into another unique level in a very good way. It doesn't feel cringy haha
i like the perspective shift. i liked lucy as a character during my time watching it. i always thought the guild was more front and center than individual characters.
Fairy Tail has some issues, but it's a enjoyable watch for sure. It's not my favourite show, but I like it enough to rewatch it and place it near my top 10 anime, but that's my taste. If you still don't like it, having watched 50 episodes, maybe you shouldn't watch it. Some animes aren't for everyone.
i respect that! i was relatively new to watching anime when I (Demarco) picked it up. having only watched dbz and hunterxhunter before watching fairytail might've contributed to my lack of patience
reusing Erza wasn't filler. Filler is when the butt jiggle gang comes back before the grand magic games because of the swap in animation studios. You get every core cast members backstory excluding Natsu early on and that arc was simply Erzas turn.
Fairy Tail is a solid anime(My number 1 anime so kinda bias lol). There are things about the anime that I completely understand why people wouldn't like it or try it and i agree with them, but its definitely worth checking out. They have really good character development, story, and interesting take on magic. They also don't have much filler, but even those filler arcs are great(except for one, we all know which one I'm talking about lol) and are referenced throughout the anime! So if you do try to react to the anime, I'm here for the ride!
My favorite opening might be 15 - partially because of the animation and the story of that particular arc - followed by 24 and 16. Most of these openings are rock - which I like - but they end up having that similar "I'm ready to fight, lets go" type of vibe. 15 stands out to me because it feels more vulnerable - and the chorus is a bop. Story context is also a big reason why I like that opening, but I won't spoil. And last but not least this arc was actually the one I started with (I randomly started with episode 185 or so), so this one is actually the most nostalgic to me and the one that made me fall in love with the anime in the first place.
Actually the Main Characters is Natsu and Lucy the author likes dual main characters in his series except for one other series he went with one main character Natsu gets much better especially in the sequel 100 Years Quest his character development growth is amazing there, but in the begining of the original series you might find him annoying but later on he becomes more serious more often
@@DLFamReactions Yep! but there´s more to Natsu in the sequel anime, the Original series Natsu & 100 YQ arc Natsu is almost two different people especially in the current final arc ongoing his goffyness & temper is still there but he changed compared to the main series!! There´s also Shiki from Edens Zero Hiro´s series after Fairy Tail is a lot more emotional character, but it´s a dark series
I'll copy paste this comment I left under some other video few years ago When it comes to Fairy Tail the reviewes are very mixed. Story is fairly simple, comparable to Bleach in a way. Has some cool fakeouts and twists (one of the reactors I've watched got mental breakdown because of one character. It was so funny to watch). Now I'll list you both short commings that people hate Fairy Tail as well as the things that really shine that people love. The good/unique/intriguing things: - The author is briliant at writing strong women, but tbh big majority of the characters have some interesting, deep and/or funny traits going on - Attention is very evenly spread between characters, even with those that initially seem to not be very important. Almost no one feels insignificant. Because if this, fans sometimes aren't sure who is the main character anymore (I was one of them). Thats an interesting phenomenon, not very commonly seen - Back in the times when it originated, the main characters almost never had some sort of element as a power because authors want them to be unpolarizing and easy to relate to. Fairy Tail sort of broke out of it, MC has element and is still really beloved - Cool fights as well as very diverse power system - Very good at pulling the heartstrings (almost as good as Naruto imo) - Amazing OST! Everyone loves it, even the haters! The bad/most hated things: - Overly silly tone an times as well as comedy timing can ruin the sad scene. Mostly the latter is the problem, but it's not all of the scenes are ruined, just some. It's not silly at all times but somewhat more than one would expect. - Simple story telling. Villan/s of the week style most of the time. (People brush off all the unexpected twist as well as all the insights into the characters) - Fan service. Too much of it, especially later on - Power of feelings makes people stronger. It's literally a part of the power system. Tolerance to this trope varies. I'm not bothered by this, but even I've had at least one "ok, this is BS" moment Overall it's very decent. Even most of the fillers are enjoyable, except few. With that being said, if you didn't enjoy first 50 eps, haven't noticed any positives I mentioned or perhaps those characteristics aren't appealing to you to begin with, then this series may not be right for you.
i really appreciate this comment! makes me look at the anime a little differently. i'd like to give it a shot again since i was a whole different person when i started fairy tail lol
There is barely 3 "power of friendship" moments in the first 120 episodes or so. People often use the "power of friendship" excuse when the thing they wanna say is "plot armor" or "plot convenience" pretty much.
the guy with black hair who appears a lot in the openings is Zeref, who in case you don't remember, He is a very strong and immortal wizard, he created several powerful demons who are enemies in the penultimate arc of the anime, he is also part of a giant plot in the anime involving Natsu. Oh, and the blonde with long hair and the white dress is the founder of Fairy Tail, it's not a spoiler or a big plot so there's no problem saying it
There are two new openings for Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest if you wanna react to them as well! Fairy Tail is one of my favourite anime, I’ve watched it many, many times and it never gets old for me.
7:15 that arc and the next 3 arcs are my fav on fairy tail you should try to watch it again and give it a chance. After that arcs the new animation came in and that arc up to the end is a so-so for me I mean the animation but the story is good well in manga.
Fairy tail is a good anime and it is my fav anime of all time, there is something special about it But if you are not a fan of power of friendship then its not for you, but to be honest they already explain tht their power system is based on emotion in the early episode, also alot of fight in ft doesnt hv the best animation and at the final season the fight is kinda rushed so it is poorly written but there is some decent fighht scene tho, about character i feel like fairy tail does create some decent good character with decent backstory, the arc isnt tht bad either, rhere is some shit arc but there also good one, rhestory is also good but at the early season it is inconsistent, but the main story of ft is Natsu (the mc) trying to find his father figure (a dragon) who suddenly disappear and throughout the adventure he face challenge and all, so that's basically what the main plot is.
I was a big fan of this series as it was airing but dropped off around episode 150. I feel like the author does a good job at making interesting or fun characters but the writing for the main plot feels really inconsistent at times and just lost me at some point.
@@DLFamReactions The objectives change throughout the series until toward the end i think but the quality of each story arc vary quite a bit and a few really pushed me away from the series with how they concluded. I'll stand by the characters being super fun throughout the series though.
As someone who watched the whole show, it's build-up. Most of it comes together in the end. The Dragons, why and where they disappeared, Zeref himself, the cults he inspired and his Demons, Lucys mother and the celestial spirits etc. All of these are connected and atleast one of these things are always part of the story in some way. This is what the main story is about. I'd argue the only arcs, these things aren't a part of the story is the Edolas and battle of fairy tail arc, but even in the battle of fairy tail is one big hint about the Dragon slayers that only gets explained in the final arc.
@@admiralmonocle3874 I never said I got confused by it. I said that the writing was inconsistent so it lost my engagement. You may to think about how your comments come off to others because this makes you seem pretty condescending.
Fairytail is ok anime if you put it in the shonen friendship anime. but if you watch crazy stuff like made in abyss, re zero, berserk, and death note then fairytail is below average.
