In my opinion Black Clover is the most genuine anime I have ever watched. The amount of love poured into those characters shines through the screen. No other anime has made me feel that way about their characters as much as this one. It has many good things but the relationship between characters is impeccable

Black Clover is nuts. It's a really fun and epic anime, but it never gets too adult. There are a lot of dark stories and dark themed topics tho. I would recommend to give it a try, and decide by yourself if it's too happy/comic for you or not. Anyway, I see some people talking about Psycho-Pass. That's for sure a must-watch, both openings and anime.
When it comes to Black clover i highly Recommend the manga its insanely good for me.(The thing with the anime is Astas voice is something that takes some time getting used to)And he is the main character so he is Preety much in every episode.

When I first started Black Clover, I literally stopped after 10 episodes because of the annoying yelling. Years later I found out the yelling toned down after episode 10. Binged the whole rest of the show after that. I had years of episodes to binge. It was great
The page numbers are because the anime focuses around grimoires, which are spell books. When you learn a new spell, a new page becomes available. So calling the episodes pages pays homage to that.

Anime uses heavy symbolism in their openings and endings (not always though). Changing the Opening usually means a new chapter is starting (or as we say a new arc) and they tend to show scenes that might never happen in the anime itself but symbolizes and sometimes summarize the events of the said arc. Most of the time an opening can be considered major spoiler though unknowing viewer wont know theyve been spoiled until they watch the show

Regarding the changing openings, part of it is as you said to set the tone for that new season. The other part is that it is also there to promote the artists that are doing the songs, as part of the funding for a lot of shows comes from record labels pushing their artists

Almost all anime are originally based on a manga or light novel, so that doesn't have anything to do with the page #'s. The "page" numbers are the episode number, but they are stylized as pages in reference to the series' use of grimoires, or books for their magic. So each episode is a new page in the book that is Black Clover. Basically just a metaphor.
the Japanese are a very emotive and expressive people so they take the opportunity to frame each new season of most anime with new music which as you said, sets the tone and the mood and revitalizes the show. It is pretty cool tbh and is how I now have a collection of amazing japanese songs that I otherwise would not have been exposed to. Western shows just don't care as much about that and the effort and cost must be off-putting.
Its usually Arc based not season based, From my experience they change the Song and the art to match the current or nexr arc depending on the time of the opening starting, but I agree over here in the West we are kind of lacking in that department, Sometimes the Opening helps tell the story and I feel like a lot of shows in the west are missing out on that I also agree with your points of it helps set the tone, mood and it can help revitalize a show, A good example of an anime that didnt need to change openings but it did and it worked is Tokyo Ghoul, Unravel is such a good OP but the others are too and they help set the mood and tone of the later seasons

New intro showcase whats going to happen, companies who make anime have a deal with record label, they get promoted for song and production of anime earns some % out of them. Pages = Episodes. The openings tell you the episode name and number and call it a page as if its a book due to the focus on magic and grimoires in Black Clover
Page number is the episode. In the anime to use your magic you need a Grimoire (fancy magic book) so the page numbers just refers to that. A few other animes do similar things
Black clover definitely provides the epic feel you describe. It shares lots of characteristics with other shonens but I find myself rewatching BC fights every day (which used to be hxh and mha)

In this world, they have a hierarchy in which your status in society is based either born with the ability to use Mana (which is the energy required to use Magic) and those who are not. The MC is of the latter category. Now besides that, every Magic User in this world makes use of a grimoire to cast magical spells corresponding to their magical attribute. That's what the "pages" are in the ops, they're the episode number/title card. Each "page" in an episode acts s a symbolism for the big "grimoire" that is the "Black Clover" story. Though this is one interpretation, it's a very nice detail added that in my opinion makes BC openings stand out amongst other conventional anime ops, and also part of the reason why I consider BC openings as one of, if not the best in all of anime. Edit: Also no, you're not using that term correctly. Yes BC is originally a manga, but that's not the right term to use here
Just did a quick glance through the comments to see if anyone answered your manga question and all anime is based off a manga/light novel. In order for any anime to be created, or taken on as a project of consideration they require that content already exist for it in the form of a written light novel, or manga. Without that content they have a hard time creating the series. A lot of anime originally was written without it, or the content was mixed, but later on creators realized that if they write the anime to follow the manga it raised sales of the manga because people wanted to know what happened next without having to wait for the next episode of that anime. An example I can provide of this situation I'm mentioning is the anime known as Ancient Magus Bride (that's the English title). This anime originally came out in 2014, but is just now confirmed to release the second season in Spring of 2023. The reason this anime has taken 9 years to release the second season is due to the lack of written content. The creator was essentially still working on the manga at the time the anime was being aired. This causes delays for the anime creators as they need a solid foundation of information to work with. Another example is Fruits Basket. This anime originally aired in 2001 for the first time, but didn't hold true to what was originally written in the manga itself. Thus only one season was ever aired of this version of the anime. However, it brought enough attention to the manga that it caused over 30 million copies to be sold by 2018. In 2019 Fruits Basket was revisited again and this time it was written to match the manga completely. This version had 3 seasons total with the ending season being aired in 2021 and a movie was made for it that released at the start of 2022. My final example I'm throwing out as I just recalled watching your reaction to it is Overlord. This one has been delayed multiple times and anime fans have been waiting for long periods to get seasons for it. It came as quite a shock when we got season 4 after waiting another 3 years. Frankly, a lot of us were worried we wouldn't even see season 2 because it first aired in 2015 and season 2 and 3 didn't release until 2018. This one is also apart of an ongoing manga and thus, a lot of the delay is again due to lack of available content from the manga. Although, this one should have a light novel as well, so it could come down to writing time for adapting into a visible state. Either way, there's plenty of content, but a lot of delay. Sadly, I'm not able to explain this one because this is a very highly enjoyed anime due to it being so different from most anime concepts when it comes to main characters. A definitely recommended watch! I think I got off on a tangent there, sorry about that. Hope this answered a bit of the manga question you had if it wasn't already answered! Maybe someone will leave a comment on this for further details! I'm sure I missed a few things, or I might have put too much.
A word of caution, the first few episodes can feel slightly generic and bland, I still enjoyed it btwm but if you stick with it till the dungeon arc...I promise the pay off is huge. The only reason This show has an 8 on my animelist in my opinion is because a minority watched the first few episodes, gave it a low score and dropped it. No other show has consistently topped the arc it precedes and the story takes some really epic twists.
@Nightmare Hour What defined as generic if there is a lot of the same thing/story formula exists before it. So by definition, older shows won't be generic or AS generic as they would still have fresher stuff.
I don't know if you've gotten around to watching the series or if anyone pointed it out but the idea of the "page numbers" was that was the episode number. I think the theme was just based on the page number of a book in reflection of the episode number.

The pages you see in the openings refer to the episode they appear in! So page 77 for example means it appears on episode 77, but you guessed in right when you said Black clover is based on a manga, that’s the original source material and the creator is Yuki Tabata!
I just wanted to let you know that these openings are for each season. There are four seasons of Black Clover and each opening is for a part of a season. Normally they are for “arcs” these split of seasons in anime. Each arcs have a main bad guy or a problem they have to fix and sometimes they all are related in some way and they may lead to the big bad of a season.
Love these reactions, would highly recommend checking out Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood openings! They're up there with Attack on Titan for sure and it's my personal favourite anime.

With his fellow mages from the Black Bulls, Asta plans to become the next Wizard King.

Almost all anime are originally based on a manga or light novel, so that doesn't have anything to do with the page #'s. The "page" numbers are the episode number, but they are stylized as pages in reference to the series' use of grimoires, or books for their magic. So each episode is a new page in the book that is Black Clover. Basically just a metaphor.
the Japanese are a very emotive and expressive people so they take the opportunity to frame each new season of most anime with new music which as you said, sets the tone and the mood and revitalizes the show.
It is pretty cool tbh and is how I now have a collection of amazing japanese songs that I otherwise would not have been exposed to. Western shows just don't care as much about that and the effort and cost must be off-putting.
Its usually Arc based not season based, From my experience they change the Song and the art to match the current or nexr arc depending on the time of the opening starting, but I agree over here in the West we are kind of lacking in that department, Sometimes the Opening helps tell the story and I feel like a lot of shows in the west are missing out on that
I also agree with your points of it helps set the tone, mood and it can help revitalize a show, A good example of an anime that didnt need to change openings but it did and it worked is Tokyo Ghoul, Unravel is such a good OP but the others are too and they help set the mood and tone of the later seasons

Dark, action, epic - I recommend opening AND ending of Overlord, they are on season 4 now so 8 songs/videos total! Definitely don't miss out on the endings
It sucks that the very last one got copyrighted, it is considered one of the best of all the Black Clover openings.

New intro showcase whats going to happen, companies who make anime have a deal with record label, they get promoted for song and production of anime earns some % out of them. Selling new soundtracks = promotin label to earn money, company earns money out of them beacuse of certain agreement. Everyone profits and we enjoy it

The series itself is really interesting. It takes place in the 22nd century in Japan where it is possible to instantaneously measure a person's propensity towards criminality using a cymatic scanner. People can be considered as 'Latent Criminal' if their 'Crime Coefficient' is too high, even if they haven't committed a crime yet.
Some interesting things from this anime:

Pages = Episodes. The openings tell you the episode name and number and call it a page as if its a book due to the focus on magic and grimoires in Black Clover

Page number is the episode. In the anime to use your magic you need a Grimoire (fancy magic book) so the page numbers just refers to that.

Black clover definitely provides the epic feel you describe. It shares lots of characteristics with other shonens but I find myself rewatching BC fights every day (which used to be hxh and mha)

To answer your question, the series is set in a world of magic as you already deduced. In this world, they have a hierarchy in which your status in society is based either born with the ability to use Mana (which is the energy required to use Magic) and those who are not. The MC is of the latter category.
Now besides that, every Magic User in this world makes use of a grimoire to cast magical spells corresponding to their magical attribute.
That's what the "pages" are in the ops, they're the episode number/title card. Each "page" in an episode acts s a symbolism for the big "grimoire" that is the "Black Clover" story. Though this is one interpretation, it's a very nice detail added that in my opinion makes BC openings stand out amongst other conventional anime ops, and also part of the reason why I consider BC openings as one of, if not the best in all of anime.
Edit: Also no, you're not using that term correctly. Yes BC is originally a manga, but that's not the right term to use here

Just did a quick glance through the comments to see if anyone answered your manga question and all anime is based off a manga/light novel. In order for any anime to be created, or taken on as a project of consideration they require that content already exist for it in the form of a written light novel, or manga. Without that content they have a hard time creating the series. A lot of anime originally was written without it, or the content was mixed, but later on creators realized that if they write the anime to follow the manga it raised sales of the manga because people wanted to know what happened next without having to wait for the next episode of that anime.
An example I can provide of this situation I'm mentioning is the anime known as Ancient Magus Bride (that's the English title). This anime originally came out in 2014, but is just now confirmed to release the second season in Spring of 2023. The reason this anime has taken 9 years to release the second season is due to the lack of written content. The creator was essentially still working on the manga at the time the anime was being aired. This causes delays for the anime creators as they need a solid foundation of information to work with.
Another example is Fruits Basket. This anime originally aired in 2001 for the first time, but didn't hold true to what was originally written in the manga itself. Thus only one season was ever aired of this version of the anime. However, it brought enough attention to the manga that it caused over 30 million copies to be sold by 2018. In 2019 Fruits Basket was revisited again and this time it was written to match the manga completely. This version had 3 seasons total with the ending season being aired in 2021 and a movie was made for it that released at the start of 2022.
My final example I'm throwing out as I just recalled watching your reaction to it is Overlord. This one has been delayed multiple times and anime fans have been waiting for long periods to get seasons for it. It came as quite a shock when we got season 4 after waiting another 3 years. Frankly, a lot of us were worried we wouldn't even see season 2 because it first aired in 2015 and season 2 and 3 didn't release until 2018. This one is also apart of an ongoing manga and thus, a lot of the delay is again due to lack of available content from the manga. Although, this one should have a light novel as well, so it could come down to writing time for adapting into a visible state. Either way, there's plenty of content, but a lot of delay. Sadly, I'm not able to explain this one because this is a very highly enjoyed anime due to it being so different from most anime concepts when it comes to main characters. A definitely recommended watch!
I think I got off on a tangent there, sorry about that. Hope this answered a bit of the manga question you had if it wasn't already answered! Maybe someone will leave a comment on this for further details! I'm sure I missed a few things, or I might have put too much.
A word of caution, the first few episodes can feel slightly generic and bland, I still enjoyed it btwm but if you stick with it till the dungeon arc...I promise the pay off is huge. The only reason This show has an 8 on my animelist in my opinion is because a minority watched the first few episodes, gave it a low score and dropped it. No other show has consistently topped the arc it precedes and the story takes some really epic twists.

Black Clover is too good. An underdog MC and most badass captain and talent pouring rivals amd The Goosebumps moments... It parred naruto.

I don't know if you've gotten around to watching the series or if anyone pointed it out but the idea of the "page numbers" was that was the episode number. I think the theme was just based on the page number of a book in reflection of the episode number.

The pages you see in the openings refer to the episode they appear in! So page 77 for example means it appears on episode 77, but you guessed in right when you said Black clover is based on a manga, that’s the original source material and the creator is Yuki Tabata!

I just wanted to let you know that these openings are for each season. There are four seasons of Black Clover and each opening is for a part of a season. Normally they are for “arcs” these split of seasons in anime. Each arcs have a main bad guy or a problem they have to fix and sometimes they all are related in some way and they may lead to the big bad of a season.

Anime intros are a massive thing in Japan it can be the highlight of some bands career and what makes them. Like FLOW for example who have done Dragon Ball, Naruto and others and they make sure to make every opening feel like a music video

You should watch the show, I'm currently thinking of rewatching it as soon as got up with some other anime series i'm currently watching like One Piece, an absolute must watch.
But since you asked a couple times here a short plot of Black Clover: Set in a world where people are born with the ability to use magic, the story follows Asta, a young boy without any magic power who is given a rare grimoire that grants him anti-magic abilities. With his fellow mages from the Black Bulls, Asta plans to become the next Wizard King.
Op 5 Gamushara which you liked was sung by a singer Miyuna who was actually 15 years at that time. she is very talented.
Gamushara is one of the most underrated yet amazing openings out there. One of my favorites, and this fact makes me appreciate it even more
