I knew Hilton when I was living in London during the 70s. He chanted Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo along with the same Buddhist group as me. Sandy Shaw, Tina Turner, Boy George and Orlando Bloom, along with so many others also chant. Hilton was a kind and gentle guy and I'm confident that he has gone to his real home now, the same magnificent and colourful Light that I visited during 1970 and during a near-death experience (NDE). They are playing casually, as you can see the drummer and keyboardist watching for cues from each other...because they are basically jamming out! Also, for the “purists,” it gets old singing the same way for 12 years, which is why some artists switch it up from gig to gig. If you prefer the original recording stop buying concert tickets and stay inside with your records.
Burdon 's voice sounds great, I must admit that I am NO fan of all the "musical gymnastics" that are in this video. Meaning how all the instruments are played like each band member wants to show just how good they can play. I like the plain ole version like the original old video is.
