It really is! I’ve been called out on it a few times on zoom competitions too. I should get a big white sheet of heavy paper to put down, because it probably does slow me down some. I like the lighting in the kitchen better than my upstairs puzzle nook though, so I usually end up puzzling on the kitchen island. It forces me to control the kitchen clutter too 😏

Do you have time to study the picture before you start?
In the real competitions, no - the puzzle is hidden in a bag that you can't open until they say go!
Do you glue your puzzles together after completion?
I've never glued a puzzle, but I'm considering doing and gluing a large puzzle for my office wall. Zoom background!
Why dont you put white paper or cloth beneath?
That's a good idea! Cloth wouldn't work well for speed puzzling, but a heavy paper/light poster board would work well.
