Well done on your first speed puzzle! It's normal to take over two hours for beginners. With each puzzle you do, you will gain experience and learn different ways to view an image in your head, and take it apart and build it together logically.
Not bad for your 1st attempt. Speed puzzling is no joke and practice makes perfect ( I know, so cliché) if it's an option speed puzzling as a pair. It helps take some of the stress off you. I find I do better in pairs, because if I get stuck you have back up. Also another way is to practice and time yourself with each part of the process. How long does it take you to flip and sort, then repeat to beat your time. Practice with your non dominant hand and learn to use both on a consistent basis. I look forward to watching more of your channel.
Thanks for the nice comment :) Welcome to the channel and thanks for the tips!! I saw some videos recently about that, practicing multiple parts and doing some "drills" to get faster, but practicing the other hand is a great idea!
I think that is a pretty good start! I usually take 3-4 hours to complete a 500 piece puzzle. My fastest time (on an easy image) was 2:15. I haven't trained for speed puzzling, but I think I could definitely get to 1:30 with practice.
Well thanks for the comment, really had nothing to compare with since it was my first. I'll try to practice often and see if i can improve after some time!
A very good effort considering that the image was fairly busy. You may well find that different types of images get done faster than others. I occasionally time myself for 500 piece puzzles and the fastest I've done is 1 hour 33 minutes with the Ravensburger Life is a Garden. Most of them tend to be around the two hour mark. It boils down to practising a lot and utilising the best method to do the puzzle.

Glad you enjoyed! Thanks for the comment and good luck on your journey :)
Thank you for sharing and giving it a go. Speed puzzling is not easy but practice makes perfect as they say.
Very true! I didn't expect much and I'm gonna give it more time and attempts

Thanks for that, always good to here from other puzzlers so I can have an idea. I'll try to do a few every month for a year and see what happens!
