Stop it! This is the scariest movie! Saw it in theaters. Was driving home after, & was so freaked out I turned on my center console light to make sure Samara wasn't in my back seat. I keep laughing at myself for being so creeped out, then the next sec I'd get super scared & check my back seat again. It was ridiculous, & I love this messed up movie! Love ya petties. ❤

I watched this movie by myself when my roommates were gone and when it was over my phone rang and I jumped! Then I slept with the light on for a week straight - this movie was possibly the scariest I have ever seen! 😂

My husband and I rented this movie and watched it the night before he deployed to Iraq in the original invasion in 2003.
What’s funny is that we watched it late that night and it was over around 10:30pm. I remember questioning my life choices since I was going to be ALONE for at least a year lol. As I was processing that I was an idiot, the fucking phone rang! We looked at each other and I said “it’s for you”. LMAO
It ended up being his commander asking some packing question. I was like, what are the freaking odds anyone would call, much less the second the movie was over?
I think about that every time this movie some up lol
when The Grudge (2004) came out in the US, a lot of us teenagers/young-adults would prank call people/friends, doing the same creepy "choking-purring" (can't think of good words for describing it, argh, th-cam.com/video/-0v24Af1KhU/w-d-xo.html ) voice on the phone (I think cellphones still weren't too much in usage, as it was still those flip phones and/or pagers, and etc, if memory serves correctly, long before the more modern smart phones like of today)

The grudge and the ring are both originally Asian movies so that is how they are similar- they both have that aesthetic… u know what I mean?
This movie came out when I was in middle school - I pranked my stepsister using my gigantic first cell phone and called the landline right after the video played. She paused the VHS and answered it and I whispered “seven days” to her. She got me back by waking me up an hour before my alarm - she cranked my CD player to full volume and I jumped awake to LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOOOOOOOOOR. This is maybe the most dated thing I’ve written in a while.
This movie still holds the title as one of my favorite horror movies till this day!

I loved the difference the way she says “but he doesn’t know”, and “but I do, and I’m sorry it won’t stop” the second time as that was meant to be more menacing for the audience than it was the first time when we were meant to be sympathetic towards her. It really showcased how she’s just…evil. That’s just who she is, we were never meant to be sympathetic towards her.
I watched this in the theater when it came out and when she busted throught the TV at the end it was like a bomb went off in the theater. People freaked out! Screaming, yelling, laughing, jumping out of their seats, it was awesome!
I remember after Rachel first viewed the tape scene,a family friend had bad timing on calling our home landline phone and it people in the house audibly scream and I cried saying "Don't answer it! Don't answer it!" 😭
This is one of my favorite horror movies, The Ring 2 is also good, I hope that you guys react to it.
A horror movie that (in my opinion) is in the same universe as The Ring- called “Case No. 39”- about a Social worker investigating a child abuse case where the adoptive parents tried to kill the girl. (FYI- She never sleeps)😮

I recall when all my cousins and I were on a family trip and the adults were upstairs while we all sat in the basement watching this on a stormy night at my aunts place in the Oregon forests. It became one of my favorite movies!
I still remember my dad got me this movie for christmas when I was a kid amongst other things. Gosh I miss my childhood. I remember the gloomy weather, the christmas house decor, everything.

There are FOUR movies of the American Remake. The Ring Two 2005 Sequel which follows up on Rachel and Aiden, "Rings" a 2005 short movie that takes place in between The First and second ring. And then the third movie called "Rings" (2017) which takes place 13 years after the the first two movies. The American remakes is based on the Japanese franchise version called "Ringu."
Funny thing, I'm not sure if I've actually watched this movie or not, with all the parodies and reactions I've watched I feel like I have! I'm sure I'll live for your reaction to this ❤

I remember watching this at the cinema. When you saw Katie’s face in the closet I freaked and nearly walked out! Then when the ring video was first shown, I closed my eyes! I was totally invested in the film and it scared the hell outta me! Great film. Even to this day, Samaras face at the end absolutely scares the crap outta me!! 😂

Both The Ring and The Grudge were remakes of J-Horror films, which tend to have very similar tropes and vibes.
You know...in the way Western horrors have all the same tropes and vibes.
So when my husband and I first started dating, I showed him this movie one evening. When I left, he went to TH-cam to watch "the video" again, and as soon as it ended his phone rang. It was me telling him I made it home safe but he said he screamed like a little girl when it rang 😂

So the wild thing is we haven’t seen Mulholland Drive and really want to BUT the company who owns the rights is notorious for slapping copyright claims/strikes on Mulholland Drive reactions 😩 (and other movies this company owns but especially MD for some reason) So we definitely will do it on our Patreon sometime but it probably will never see the light of day on TH-cam 😭

Y’all better watch The Ring Two! Especially the Unrated/Directors Cut! It is absolutely a guilty pleasure. And there’s some scenes in it that are iconic and mother behavior. Then you got the RINGS short film which was fantastic (not RINGS the movie). But it’s best watched after.
