I'm from Brazil and the three original bands of these musicians are loved here, by people who enjoy good music. And their project was also very successful here. What a beautiful melody... If I can, I'll listen to this song all day long. Three icons of 80s music. Meeting of the titans. Everything perfect, both the vocals and the instrumental part of the song.
It was 1990 and I was wearing too much denim, riding in the back seat through winding Virginia mountains on a rainy day listening to this cassette on my Walkman staring out the window. I remember it because it was a definite moment in time and I had the whole future ahead of me. I loved this little project band. I bought this tape not knowing immediately how much it would mean to me.
Every clip of Neil Tennant I ever see from this era (87-89) makes him, for me to be some sort of effing genius - Left to My Own Devices is astonishing for a start, but the Dusty stuff, the Liza stuff, it's all so brilliant
Losing My Mind is an amazing song and PSB had a purple patch of fantastic tracks from 1985 to 1990 approximately. While I keep an open mind to anything they release I have been surprised by the diminution of the quality over the years since, especially as a lot of their peers are still producing excellent music long after their commercial and artistic peak in the eighties and nineties as applicable. I think their reputation was so strong based on their earlier music for the first few years that the media has tended to give them a free pass for a lot of very ordinary music in the last twenty years. Favourites from the eighties for me include Surburbia, Rent, West End Girls and Always On My Mind. Persuading Dusty Springfield to come out of retirement for What Have I Done To Deserve This? was inspired and it is a great tune, vocal performance by them and her and effective video.

They are so young here. 😢 I guess I will never get used to the fact that we all age and die... The 1989 what a time to be alive.
You know it’s a super band collection when you have Neil Tennant as back vocal.
Neil was 35, Barney 33 and Johnny 26 when this was filmed. 68,66 & 59 respectively now.
Neil was the latest starter but ironically the most successful although the least talented.

That I love you more than you love me
However I look it's clear to see
I love you more than you love me
I hate that mirror, it makes me feel so worthless
I'm an original sinner but when I'm with you I couldn't care less
I've been getting away with it all my life
Getting away with it ... all my life

However I look it's clear to see
That I love you more than you love me
However I look it's clear to see
I love you more than you love me
I love you more than you love me
More than you love me
I thought I gave up falling in love a long long time ago
I guess I like it but I can't tell you, you shouldn't really know
And it's been true ... all my life
Yes, it's been true ... all my life
I've been talking to myself just to suggest that I'm selfish (Getting ahead)
I've been trying to impress that more is less and I'm repressed (I should do what he said)
