Electronic is only Marr and Sumner. Neil Tennant collaborated on, I think, 3 tracks. Patience Of A Saint, Getting Away With It and Disappointed. Johnny Marr played on many Pet Shop Boys records.
I used to wake up 10 minutes earlier, back in 1993, just to listen to this song before starting my day!! I still have it recorded in a VHS, from where I watched it back then!!!
Ya know, I listen to the opening and at the first sound of Neil Tennant’s voice, a smile creeped across my face. At age 54, I remember when this was fresh. It’s just as good today as it was then.
Today 30th anniversary of the single "Disappointed", Electronic! 🎉🎊This is a wonderful (causing chills 😊) single from the British formation! 👏👏👏 Electronic is a music project that - in the second half of the 80's - was created by: Bernard Sumner (vocalist, guitarist and keyboardist of New Order, ex-guitarist and ex-keyboardist of Joy Division) and Johnny Marr (ex-guitarist of The Smiths). Electronic has developed an original sound that combines elements of guitar and electronic music; alternative rock, synth-pop and house. The duo was supported by Neil Tennant (Pet Shop Boys) and his angelic voice 🤩😍 and Chris Lowe (Pet Shop Boys), who added (to at least 3 compositions) typical Pet Shop Boys sounds. 🤩😍 Karl Bartos (ex-Kraftwerk) collaborated with Electronic in the second half of the 90's... 🎤🎹🎸🎶🔊💿🤩😍😎 Greetings from Poland! 🇵🇱👍 🇺🇦✌🌏☮💚
It still TOTALLY AMAZES ME that the Pet Shops Boys, New Order and The Smiths effectively came together to form Electronic. It's astounding - and it was brilliant!
This is a fuckin tune! I was in a wine bar in Hale, Altrincham near Manchester in the early 80’s when Bernard Sumner was on the next table deep in conversation with Neil Tennant. I said to my girlfriend that that must be an interesting chat. Well, wasn’t it! The birth of Electronic. What a brilliant band.
You're F.O.S... Tennant & Lowe weren't.. until 1981 subsequently debuting with PLEASE in 1986. The collaboration, Electronic, wasn't.. until 1989 debuting ELECTRONIC in 1991. I don't know who you saw in the early eighties maybe ask your girlfriend, her memory might be a little less fictitious

This was the "supergroup" to end all supergroups, for me. Love all three of their bands, and to have them team up...pure gold. Never saw this vid before
For me this song and video is one of the best of all time. Pet Shop Boys and New Order are superbands and their colloboration, called Electronic is masterpiece! Long live Neil, Chris and Bernard :)
Barney’s synth melodies are so underrated. They’re one of the reasons for New Order’s success. Although he’s the singer, he doesn’t get the credit for the instrumentals. You can hear his influence here clearly.
Neil Tennant's vocals remind me so much of my youth. So nostalgic. This is a great great track. I hadn't heard it for years until it came on the radio the other day and I just had to try and find it on youtube... so glad I did. Good times.
