No! Don't spray her! She looks great original! You'll never get the right shade of grey and then it'll look the same as all the others, that's a unique shade of rust!
A good run indeed but it looks as if you are having to work the steering far too much when travelling in a straight line for my liking. Steering linkage, steering box wear somewhere?
Check the pipe from the governor to the throttle by removing the pipe, covering the outlet of the governor with a finger, pulling the stop and check if the stop remains out. If not the diaphragm may be bad. If that's OK check the control rod, which is the toothed rod visible when the inspection cover is removed.
A TEF-20 will never start as quick as this from cold, I think the engine had been running shortly before you made the video.....a start up from cold would require 1) Press in the cold start button. 2) Ki-gas it up. 3) Heater plugs. 4) Decompression lever down. 5) Lords prayer and she may start.
At the time it hadn’t run in a while and it wasn’t starting well so the easy start came out however a week ago I have just fully rebuilt the engine Crank ground head skimmed new valves and piston and liners she stats straight away no heat and no throttle
@@dgautomotivefabrications5817 my old man had a diesel one like this when he was young, it always started on half a turn on the hand crank handle, they were too poor to afford batteries!
Really good video mate. It will be good when it's all sprayed up
samuel bygrave yeah hope to get it done this weekend 😝
