    Viewers be warned: That is not the tumbler valve that is the vapor canister purge valve. The tumbler control valve looks similar to that part but both of the hose fittings are on the same side. The Tumbler control valve is located adjacent to the valve cover next to the throttle body. Apart from the control valve, there are two tumbler valves on the intake plenum, one right next to the throttle body (next to the control valve) and one on the opposite end of the intake plenum down by the firewall and ABS module..... First step: Check vacuum lines going to tumbler control. If OK then replace the tumbler control valve with a known good control valve. If NO CHANGE then one of the tumbler valves in the intake is stuck or broken. At that point you can 1) Try a intake cleaning service (possible fix, but not guranteed,) 2) Try replacing the tumbler itself (junk yard or parts car) 3) Replace the intake plenum assembly. (Option 3 is best option).

    This video helped me very much. I have the electronic soleniod type runner control, so I did not even suspect that vacuum valve but after tearing the entire intake apart and testing that the solenoid motor turned at 3vdc and the gears all in good shape, Then I tested the potetiometer on the other side which measures between 0 - 1.2k ohms closed to open, i did not find any issues with parts, and the wiring looked good as well. Yet still the P2004 persisted, so I had origninally ordered the new valve you showed on this video, but never had installed it because I thought I was on the wrong track. When I installed the new vacuum valve you showed on this video, the car started up and instantly ran smooth and had power again. Thank you too much brother, God bless.

    I have Nissan Altima 2016. Engine light came on. Scan code shows P2004 and C1130. Bought the part (manifold runner selenoid) shown in the video from Autozone. Engine light did not go away. Cleared the codes using the test meter and drove 10-20 miles or so. The engine light came back again. I checked the resistance (ohms) on my old part and the new from Autozone, both showing about 23 ohms value. So it tells my original part was fine. I checked the voltage on the connecter. It was showing 14V. Can it be some wiring issue? (I have noticed Cigrate lighter is not working. I check then fuse and it looks good. Even changed it. It still does not work).

      ok, in your case check the wiring and once you fix P2004 this will delete and fix C1130, check the wiring and ground from the ECU to the solenoid

    This part in the video is the valve control purge canister. I've had this issue persisting on my 2015 altima for some time.
    Replacing the purge canister only offers a very temporary fix. When the issue occurs, the check engine light will be on throwing the p2004, and often later results in throwing a p0443, as well.
    When the car has an issue and goes into limp mode, the traction control warning light comes on, as well as another warning light saying there is a malfunction.
    I've checked the electrical connection on the purge canister and it's fine, I've checked the vacuum lines and they're fine. I've replaced the valve purge canister 3 times (long story). Then I found a recall issued on August 8th 2017 for 2013 - 2020 altimas and rogues for the intake runner control position sensor. Unfortunately Nissan said this recall didn't apply to my Vin, so I opened a claim with Nissan affairs. They said it had to be diagnosed by a certified Nissan technician, so I took it in to the service department. They said they did a pin point test and "found tsb for swirl position sensor" and that the fix for this is to remove the intake manifold, replace the sensor, and retest. They want $1500 to do this and Nissan denied the claim.
    The more research I do into this issue, the more confusing the problem gets. If/when I get this sorted out, I'm selling this car and never touching another Nissan for the rest of my life.

    • @dennismelville7532
      @dennismelville7532 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      This guy is a hack.... the sensors he's pointing to in the video is a Evap purge.... not the Intake Runner Solenoid... there are 2 solenoids on either end of the manifold... you have to remove the entire manifold to change either one.. and when you take off the solenoid and you can't move the flap manually... replace the whole manifold from a salvage yard one.
